As far as I can tell with Chandler Smith, the news that he wouldn't be back with Gibbs seemed to come out quite late in the season, after the bulk of silly season. I think most of the moves and deals had been finalized by the time he realized he needed a spot. I agree that Chandler is good. He had a great run in trucks. He has done well in Xfinity. He's good enough that I think it would have been a shame for him to be without a ride in 2025, so I'm glad to see that he has a ride and one that is likely to be good. Zane started to find some competitive speed and was running near the front in many races. I think he has earned an opportunity to stay in Cup, just based on performance. The fact he was able to turn it around as well as he did, and to figure that out after only about half the season shows there's some real potential there, and I'd like to see him continue to develop at the highest level.

I'm not sure what we saw from teams like Spire and Front Row Motorsports in the second half of the season last year wasn't, in fact, more a result of the stunning second half of the season decline of Joe Gibbs Racing and much of Hendrick Motorsports than it was how well they ran. Consider that JGR didn't win a single race in the second half of last season and that, except for Kyle Larson, Hendrick Motorsports didn't fare much better, as the only race either the 9, 24, or 48 cars won in the second half of last season was in Chicago. I actually think Front Row's headed for a spiraling season in 2025 and I think Spire is also going see a dropoff in performance, though I think Michael McDowell wins one race for that team, either at a road course or at Daytona or Talladega. RFK Racing didn't run as well last year as they did they year before, either. I think all three of those organizations revert to form in 2025, though I think RFK Racing runs up front with only it's two main cars, the 6 and 17. If there's one team that disappointed last season that might bounce back in 2025, I think it may be Trackhouse, and I'm not entirely certain about that, either. As for Richard Childress Racing, the question is what team will we see in 2025? Will it be the one that ran terribly for the first 20-23 races of the season, or the one that ran close to the front in the latter races of the season, winning once with Austin Dillon and challenging for wins with Kyle Busch. One team I that think is in for a disastrous season in 2025 is the Wood Brothers, because I don't think that highly of Josh Berry. In fact, the #21 car might fare even worse this year than it did last year. Another point of interest is how far Penske's flagship car, the #2, lags from the 12 and 22, because I think Austin Cindric may be on thin ice there, despite the obvious family connections to Penske's team.
Chandler Smith is not liked for some reason I heard but if he keeps winning he get to cup. got a lot of talent. Yea it's money but others have made it without money. He got demoted in Xfinity basically because if he stayed in Jgr for 2025 he would probably be favorite for championship right? Now he must make it to the championship 4 in trucks this coming yr if not it will be a disappointing year
I think him going back down a series might fire him up. It might be what he needed to see that he’s replaceable. So I say he wins 10 races and dominates the year
I’m still not sold that Front Row has their ducks in a row. Lost or passed on too much top talent. Only started signing drivers to multi year contracts after loosing their strongest driver to date because they would not sign a multi year contract. And then they sign for a third charter and bet the farm that they will win in court. Court is looking good for them now but I’m not convinced that’s not despite their actions.
Stop talking up Rodney Childers. It’s unwarranted. He basically sat on his hands when SHR dipped. He’ll do nothing more than mediocre with mediocre equipment.
You don't think that the 4 team wasn't picked a part by other teams. The 4 team was clearly the best team at shr for forever. They lost good people the later the season got and their performance showed that.
@ exactly. He’s not hidden. He had a couple great years with a great driver with a team that was at the time great. He has not uplifted a bad team yet. He’s serviceable. But he’s not elite.
I doubt it’ll be that big of an uptick because 1. It’s still recovering from the Harrison Burton wreckage 2. Berry was the worst SHR guy with Rodney Childers and both preece and gragson getting big penalties.
still thinking how todd gilliland got booted from his full time FRM ride in 2023 and is now gonna drive the flagship 34 car next year

They were once a start and park team… now they are here and can be legit contenders…
Wouldn't be shocked if at least 1 FRM car made the Cup playoffs, also Chandler Smith is my way to early championship favorite for the Truck Series.
Michael McDowell arguably started the upward trend when he won the Daytona 500 and 2021.
Most definitely agreed, I remember when that happened and thinking, huh they're quick, maybe they'll do better in the next few years

I'm sorry I just don't see the hype about FRM.
Why
@jacksonrobison1901 I just don't
@@shodrickrasco2628 just asking ok
Alright
Noah is the only one who has a shot….
It’s crazy how teams like Front Row & Spire went from pretenders to contenders, & RCR can’t get out of their own way.
Dam we all about the Smith family 😂
Are you planning to comment on the latest from the 23/11 FRM lawsuit?
There's going to be more winners next year than there are playoff spots.
a cool video idea would be what every nascar driver needs for christmas (essentially just something that would make them preform better)
Kyle Busch needs Jesus
Not a surprise for chandler. I don’t think it’s about money. He has no loyalty
So I say he wins 10 races and dominates the year
I doubt he wins 10 races. Not with guys like heim and majeski and enfinger and Honeycutt and hemric and Caruth and Riggs and a bunch more
Chandler is better than half of cup drivers
I’m still not sold that Front Row has their ducks in a row. Lost or passed on too much top talent. Only started signing drivers to multi year contracts after loosing their strongest driver to date because they would not sign a multi year contract. And then they sign for a third charter and bet the farm that they will win in court. Court is looking good for them now but I’m not convinced that’s not despite their actions.
Stop talking up Rodney Childers. It’s unwarranted. He basically sat on his hands when SHR dipped. He’ll do nothing more than mediocre with mediocre equipment.
Yeah seriously people hype him up to be the hidden Chad Knaus in the garage. He’s not.
Ya know who is elite? Cliff Daniels.
Chandler Smith cant get a ride but Riley Herbst going to Cup...Just sayin
Riley herbst isn’t hard to work with. Also Riley won as many xfinity races this year as C smith
Riley to cup is gross money is way too important and it also ruins Denny Hamlins image. Embarrassing hire for 2311
Hay
Can’t wait for Josh Berry in the 21, we need the uplift
I doubt it’ll be that big of an uptick because
1. It’s still recovering from the Harrison Burton wreckage
2. Berry was the worst SHR guy with Rodney Childers and both preece and gragson getting big penalties.
@
Let me be optimistic damn it
If Gilliland don’t make the playoffs he on the hot seat going into 2026
373 days left till 2026.
Venturini Motorsports signs two top female racers to compete in the 2025 ARCA Series, Isabella Robusto & Taylor Reimer.......
