This is indeed as they say lore accurate -
ad vindictam "to vengeance" was spoken from the Knight once all fell before their power armored might, they say the Knight came down like a rocket, hit like a non-lethal barrage of heavy concrete and left like heavily armored shadow. Some others say when settlements don't hand over crops and/or caps he will return - to acquire it for the BOS. Ever loyal, always vigilant.
