    Hi,
    I need to replace the sensor registration mark, but I can't find a video tutorial on how to disassemble, install, and replace it. Can you help me by providing a video tutorial?
    Thanks.

    Excellent tutorial on the Graphtec! Looking at purchasing a new Graphtec. Have always been a Roland and Summa guy, but I like the Graphtec's separate channel for perf cuts and it's simple plugin software for CorelDraw. Keep the vids coming!

      Thanks for watching Weston! I do love my Q54/8600, it's still a workhorse! I know the Summa is a great cutter as well but look to see if you can get a plugin for the Signwarehouse Q series cutters, it will save lots of $$$ over the Graphtec. The Q series are just rebranded 8600's with different firmware, I know flexi will support them but not sure if you can get one to work with CorelDraw.

      @@TheSignGuy Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, Signwarehouse is in the States and I'm in Canada. My 17 year old Summa has been bullet proof so it's going to be a toss up between the two makes.

    Wow nice job repairing. Would have suggestions on remembering what goes where when reinstalling unit? Memory at my age is not doing me good....Thank you

    Hey boss i hope you see this this is the only video I’ve seen on this, on that cutting head board you disconnected every single cable except for the one I needed, the one that’s held down by the 4 black rivots. I need to replace that cable it was crease during install, and had a few questions. 1 how do the black rivots come off or are they caps to screws? 2 is the big ribbon cable removal the same as the others? Is there anything else I might be missing in this or that will cause me problem replacing that cable?

    • @TheSignGuy
      @TheSignGuy  Год назад

      I think the Black piece just unsnap off the board. That top cable I did not disconnect should remove like the two in the front did. It should be pretty straight forward and not to much trouble. Let me know if I can help with anything else. SG

    Hey there! Great video. I purchased a used 8600 and it appears as though I need to replace these wheels as I'm getting a clicking sound as the head moves along the carriage.
    Have you ever had issues with having the left wheel in standby? As the head unit travels to the left it bumps into the metal pin and stops and throws an E01019 error. Its almost as if it isnt putting enough pressure on the pin to push in the spring loaded sensor on the left side of the head. If I manually push it all the way to the left and engage it, it works without issue.
    Thanks for your videos

    • @TheSignGuy
      @TheSignGuy  Год назад

      No I have not had that issue. Sometimes the bearings give out and could cause that problem. I leave my pinch rollers in the up position 99.9% of the time, on a few occasions I need them tighter for sandblast resist.

    Gotta add to this. I have the graphtec FC7000 MK2-130 similar issue but when I see you move the head with belt on it seems to run pretty smooth along the track. I'm thinking I have a motor issue? Does your cutter head move pretty freely or does it have a type of clicking? Or resistance? The Y motor shaft seems to have a tick inside but the X motor moves freely

      @TheSignGuy wow thanks for the quick reply! No worries. I'm just curious, what about other plotters? Should that motor move freely or have a magnetic cog type clicking to it? Trying to figure out if the motor is bad

    hi, I use Ce-6000-60 plus. wavy cut problem. Is there a potential problem with this carriage? I have changed the new cutting strip & blade but the wavy problem is still there

    • @TheSignGuy
      @TheSignGuy  Месяц назад

      maybe the blade holder or the blade itself?

  • @gormangraphics

    What equipment did you start off with and if you had to do it all over, what wood you change and what would you keep the same. Bonus question. Graphtec, i heard only certain software are compatible with it, and the blades, do they always need adjusting.

    • @TheSignGuy
      @TheSignGuy  Год назад

      Video coming soon on the first question. Second question is that is false. I use Flexi 12 with mine, Flexi is compatible with just about every piece of sign equipment out there. Rarely do my blades get replace or need adjusted, the aftermarket IMO are not as good as the OEM.

      The parts I got from SignWarehouse after talking with tech support. Deal with Lucas on the cutter and the part numbers are: P-GRAP-095013010 (ROLLER B13).
      For the pinch roller rubber wheels part number: P-GRAP-621352000 (PUSH ROLLER CE/QE60)

    This isn't really a video about alignment. From what I can tell there is no way to align this particular machine's height from left to right side other than reshaping the plastic spacer under the teflon with sandpaper. They come from the factory out of alignment and only get worse. Adjusting the carriage won't make a difference as it will still be off the same distance on each side as the frame is the the 'aligned' carriage.
