Replacing the carburetor on a 5hp tiller. Carburetor: amzn.to/42OMWC4 SOATMON Blog page: www.Soatmon.com SOATMON Amazon Store: www.amazon.com/shop/soatmon
Thank you! I'm a "novice weekend warrior mechanic" & your instructional video helped me replace the carburetor on my Briggs & Stratton rototiller. I ordered new carb from Amazon & that delivered it overnight. Big Thanks!!
Thanks for the video. The governor spring popped off when I was pulling the tank off and I couldn't figure out where it connected. Watching your video I saw where it connects and now my wood splitter is running right.
Great tip on taking a picture. In my youth, before we all carried a camera with us at all times, referring to a photo would have saved me so much frustration & expense.
Yeah a picture back then would have taken several days to get back and then it would have been too dark and out of focus! Pictures have definitely improved. They save me many times. I actually needed it on this one to get the linkage back on correctly.
Another great how to. I had a co-worker ask me if I could rebuild a carb for his mower if he brought it to me. I told I could, but the rebuild kit would cost as much as a replacement carb, and since he felt he could remove and replace the carb he should do that. I was a little off, as the rebuild kit would have been $6 cheaper. He took my advice.
Super informative video! I'm working on my tiller as well and I need to track down and purchase a few parts, and the model number on my Briggs is no longer there. I believe we have the same 5hp Briggs and was wondering if you'd be able to share the model number for yours? Thank you!

It's just not worth trying to fix them anymore.
Why the extra hole on top of the carburetor that leads to the gas tank?

Thank you! Model number is 135292
Hey I got a question I bought a new carb for this and it came with a fuel filter? But I don’t know where to install it
The filter goes in the fuel line between the gas tank and the carburetor. There should already be one that you would replace.
@@SoatMon I don’t see a fuel line I thought there was none because I thought the stick below it sucked the fuel
Where did you buy the carb? When I search it all I get is kits to rebuild. My carb is identical to yours.
The one I bought is in the description of the video. Hope you get it fixedvv
I used the B&S carb model # & Amazon delivered overnight for less than $20
Did the carburetor gasket leak?
No
