The Newer police models have G10 grips and tip up or tip down pocket clip options. My wife gave me the police 3 model last year for my birthday. I really don't carry it that much on or off duty. The police model is very long and tends to hinder me from digging change out of my uniform pockets on duty. Lol. I prefer the Emerson Sheepdog pocket knife for duty.
that's a nice looking knife! very sleek. i took a knife making class when i was in the air force, so i can actually make a variety of knives, but i have no idea how to sharpen serrated blades. do you just sharpen the one side??
hmmm. thanks! that's kind of why i don't like them - even for kitchen. when slicing food, they go off sideways, and they're so hard to keep sharp. i just don't understand them very well. i did find your tanto blade sharpening comments interesting, though. never thought about it that way. i never really got the concept before you presented it the way you did.
+skip davis I used lots of full serrated knives when I worked at the scout camp because we were constantly cutting rope and twine. Then I carried the police model full serrated back before we had ccw in Illinois and I wasn't a cop. It gives lots of edge for the blade lengthm
those are nice knifes. But the only knife I carry when I'm on duty is my ak 47. It's heavy duty, depend on how u pull it out of yr pocket it opens by it's self, great blade it's the best knife I've ever used while on duty
+Lucus M I think they are heavy and award to return to sheath after use. As a defensive weapon they can be quite effective if you are trained in their use. My training in the use of large fixed blades is less than I would like to use them professionally.
+Paul Bardal I've honestly never gotten into them. When I started out with knives (the 90's) they were outside of my price range and the pocket clip folders were new and exotic. People started using them instead of autos for ease of legality and better durability.
free field training fair enough, I just bought my first two, having moved to AZ from WA lol; the good news is more and more states are legalizing them and also that quite a few "assisted opening" designs are just as fast and safer in the less enlightened jurisdictions. I got mine for $40 on sale, most pleased.
+Paul Bardal assisted opening is a great option for people also because when the assist breaks you sill have a functioning knife. Lots of autos are toast if the spring goes tits up.
free field training 20 pickss is great price for a quality blade. Especialy considering there is a high chance of you losing that blade or even breaking it. Ive lost 15 knives already since STARS.
I carry the Spyderco Endura. This is a little more compact than the Police model with all the cutting power. The biggest plus- not all too expensive.
+Serpent Seven-Six I've owned several endura's. Loved them all. Deliaca's too.

+Harley Yeah, I've never used this one for duty much either. It is nice for court though, because of how slim it is.
I have had several Spyderco Knives and all makes a knife Bar None best knife ever Spyderco full serrated police
Can you do a video of how to clean body armor?
+TK Kotrch you can really only pull the armor panel out of the carrier. Wash the carrier and wipe the panel off with a wet cloth. Not much to show.
free field training cool thank you so much sir

+skip davis yeah, kind of like a chisel.
do you mean the flat side or the curvy side. if the latter, that would be a huge pita.

+imports rok I have seen them in catalog, but haven't played with one.
I carried a Cold Steel AK 47 when I was a detective but it tore up my dress pants. Spyderco was slot easier on my wardrobe.
what do you think about having large fixed blades?

What year is yours? Mine is half serated but Police on blade spyderco symbol on clip. Markings are similar. I'm thinking early 2000? What says you?
hey is their an email that I can contact you at? thanks.

"haven't sharpened the serrations"....... Because you can't.... Plain edge is more servicable by user
Maybe you can't...
I don't have a Spyderco; this one looks like it could trash any seat belt on the planet. Now, how about a video on automatic folders?
+Paul Bardal I've honestly never gotten into them. When I started out with knives (the 90's) they were outside of my price range and the pocket clip folders were new and exotic. People started using them instead of autos for ease of legality and better durability.

free field training good tip about the springs, ty. Think I'll stick with assisted or others for field use, I'm a CRKT fan too.
+Paul Bardal autos I like too, but just for playing with. You can't beat an auto for fun.
I like the broke nigga line..... ya know the Meadowlark and shit.
+Daniel C.H. KH9UXF yeah, I'm picking up what you're puttin' down.

should cops wear their wedding rings?
+Vicente Guevara I don't.
First comment
+Aiden Hobbs lol
free field training thanks for posting great videos
+Aiden Hobbs it is my pleasure
why serrated instead of plain edge?
+91classicrock for cutting rope or people a serrated edge gives extra "bite" and more cutting surface per unit of length.
oh okay.. but would it still be good for thrusting in self defense with full serrations?
+91classicrock why wouldn't it?
I dont know I just thought that they would get stuck or something
you should do a review of the Benchmade Contego really good tactical folder
Heavy ...not comfortable to carry with lose clothes
