Marijuana, or weed, is a drug with mind-altering properties that is gotten from the Cannabis sativa plant. This drug, which can be either smoked, vaped, or eaten (as edibles), contains a psychoactive compound THC that stimulates the pleasure receptors in the brain. This is what causes the feeling of euphoria that one gets after ingesting weed.
Although weed has been legalized as both a recreational and medicinal drug, it is still very possible to develop a dependence on its psychoactive properties. This condition is known as a marijuana use disorder.
When you first start consuming cannabis, its initial effects might be quite pleasurable, and you may experience improved moods and short-term feelings of joy and contentment, which could inevitably lead to dependence on the drug. However, over time you may begin to notice some unpleasant side effects like:
    - Anxiety/ paranoia
    - Impaired body movements
    - Loss of sense of time and hallucinations
    - With regular use, these side effects may worsen including:
    - Depression
    - Reduced academic and career performance
    - Financial and relationship problems
    - Lung diseases and breathing issues
    - Chronic bronchitis
Noticing any of these symptoms is a strong indication that you should stop the consumption of marijuana.
Although many may think that quitting weed consumption is easy, with the risk of addiction and the withdrawal symptoms that may be involved, the process may be a lot more difficult than you think. This video will help you simplify the major approaches to quitting marijuana consumption.
Before deciding on which approach to take, it is important to identify and learn to deal with your conditioning and triggers. This will ensure that you stick with your quit strategy and reduce the risk of a relapse.

@@masonsureman6178 man the first week is the hardest part. I've quit 1 month already and I feel super energetic, I want to keep my self busy at all the time. I still get the vivid dream sometimes but I sleep much better. Before quitting weed, I sleep at 3am and wake up at 10am. But right now I sleep at 10-11PM and wake up at 5AM. I feel like the time I have in a day is doubled, the day feel longer to me. My brain think quicker, I eating healthier. After 3 week of quitting, I did a bong hit with my friend and it was the most terrifies feeling I have ever had. The weed was so much stronger for me at that time. Then I vomited and get headache. After that I never feel want to smoke weed again because my body was clean for 3 weeks and when I smoke weed I just feel like I inject so much toxicity into my body. I realize that , I work so hard to clean out my body from THC now I inject again, it feel so bad for my body. I feel respect my health more man so from that I decided to never smoke again. My man! for somebody smoking weed is normal and they can handle that every day and still can keep track at work, spend time with family but I can't. Everybody is build different. If you think weed is struggling your life that mean your instinct is trying warn you weed is not good for your life survival. I hope you can rehab my man. Quitting weed really change my vision about life, I want to spend more time to my family but weed is the barrier. That is why I quit weed man. I hope you the best motivation man, don't give up if you want to change your life. After 1 months , I sware you wont want to smoke weed again. Be strong! God bless you. Happy New Year. Weed is definitely a serious drug, I've smoked a couple of hits to get high before and went up to smoking a half an oz a week (2 grams a day) and I had to quit because I became completely addicted and my tolerance went up to the point where I didn't feel high anymore. Anyone who says "it's easy to quit" and "weed is not serious drug" are full of shit. I'd like to see them stop smoking for even one week. You wont be able to tell your addicted brain "I'm going to be strong and not smoke even though I have weed."

Been smoking since 13 years old took me a long time to realize I started when my parents split up & just never stopped. At first when I was younger it didn't hurt me that much because, I had that young drive I played 3 sports & maintained honors with my grades while smoking. Now at 28 though eventually I started to use oil because, it is stronger but, it's been wrecking me lately I can't even get out of bed & gained so much weight. I quit a few hours ago wish me luck I already feel better just more stressed is all.

I quit weed cold turkey after 4 years of daily use and a few more of regular use. The first few days were like shit. Your body feels off balance and your mind feels depressive. Then it wears off. T I've been off for 6 months now. I'd like to smoke but won't unless I grow it myself. And that's at least a year away. Mostly because I'm very sick of illegal traffic. And weed quality is worst everyday. They've been adding some weird shit to it, and even fentanyl. Now off weed, dreams are very lucid. Dreams tell you many things about yourself that lie in the unconscious. Your worries, your fears. You can do a lot if you listen to them and confront your problems. I do take pills to improve sleep. @perkele2802 4 месяца назад

@@jatekever6342You can do it step by step. But you have to write down your consumption every day and first cut it to half. Then cut it to half again. Then totally sober nights before holidays when you don't have to worry about going to work next day. And still use lesser and lesser also in working week. When you notice you can sleep without weed in holidays you can try to be sober one night also in working week. And so on.
I have seen heavy users quitting like that and some of them (not all) even nowadays can smoke once a week/twice a month/holidays etc. But they have strict principles now and they really write down when they use and how much they use. They have gone through the hellish addiction and withdrawals and they don't want to do it again. So they still love weed but they know that if they want to enjoy it even sometimes they have to be careful and regulate the dose strictly. Luckily it is not like with alchol that when you are addicted and quit, first drink after that and you are where you were before you quitted.
No matter which way you want to continue (totally quitting or to "weekend smoker") make rules, write down consumption and the most important: _follow_ those rules rest of your life. Weed isn't like bread that you can enjoy every day as much you can. Those young lads who are bragging that they can use it how much they want and it has no effects to life and they can stop whenever they want either lie or they actually haven't use it long enough to understand.

How to quit smoking weed, just stop smoking weed. You're not addicted to cannabis, You're addicted to having a habit you created for yourself by making it a coping mechanism that you can do with anything. Cannabis isn't an addictive substance. Making anything a habit/coping mechanism will give a false sense of addiction. Just like overweight people do with food, literally, sugar is more addictive than cannabis. This video made me realize how weak minded most people in today's world are. if you're grumpy, angry, or violent towards others because you can't smoke a joint. then I would say that is more a personal medical issue you were masking with cannabis than withdraws. which you will probably be taking something worse than cannabis for in the future anyways.

That's not what "Pertinent" means, and the "Gateway Drug" thing is irrelevant, but there's a lot of good information here.

hallucinations are you serious?, people who make videos based on what they have read are time wasters. I would listen to someone with actual smoking experience.

I never had hallucinations, but a friend of mine who's a huge stoner told me just the other day how much he misses "a certain kind of weed that made him hallucinate", so I guess there is some truth in that.

A good way to quit and this goes for HEAVY ASS SMOKERS it to literally cut yourself down to a single blunt a day AT NIGHT TIME! Then gradually stop puffing it and move onto 10 mgs a night for another month in 2 months your withdrawals will be very very easy to get over
