Thanks.! Yeah Deadwoods is a tricky one now as it has washed out more due to storms.. so the small gaps after tree roots are now bigger and deeper.. but still a fun trail to ride. 😎
@@bengray_adventures Yeah, totally agree...some of those little drops look a little sketchy. I guess the trick is to just hit them at a solid pace and trust the bike and suspension
I literally did Deadwoods for the first time today and liked it so much I did another 3 loops. I watched to see if you'd have a go at the big drop...😮 I certainly didn't do it😊 Thanks for posting👍
Yeah wasn’t keen to hit the big drop..it was my first time down deadwoods in a couple of months... fun trail hey.! Did you try Crits too? That’s a fast rocky decent 👌🏼 Thanks for watching too 👏🏻
Second time down at Red Hill today. Parked at the North entrance and climbed to do a run on Rock Salt and Fall Line. Climbed again and went across to Crits and Deadwoods. Is the only way back up the fireroad? I walked the bike up the last half both times. Then headed further across to Sawtooth (awesome) and after a nasty fireroad walk, back up Bowsaw. Finally, down Rock Salt and Fall Line to finish. Pretty buggered. Do you ever do the tracks around Wombat Junction and then drive yourself up to Seawinds to do Charlottes Pass etc? Thanks for the vids Ben, watched most and they were helpful to get an idea of where to go.
Cheers Paul 🤙🏼 as for Crits/Deadwoods..yes the only way back up is the fire trail.. and I mostly park at the Boundary rd carpark at the bottom of the park… ride up on pine climb, slippery Gypsy, Wonga to the top… and ride along to do Crits ect… and it’s an easy ride to get to Sawtooth from there.. and when I come back down the park I’ll do Rock salt… fall line or wombat. There’s plenty of options… plus sometimes I’ll park at Seawinds carpark( near the Eagle chairlift) to do Sawtooth, Bowsaw, charlottes.. I can meet up with you sometime to show you around the park better if you like.. thanks for watching my vids too 😎🤙🏼
Hey no that’s fine to ride from the shops.. I always park there.. you can get to deadwoods via Hillview quarry road(off boundary rd) or climb up through the mtb park and there is a trail that takes you to the top of dead and Crits. I can meet you there sometime and show you around if you want? Cheers 🤙🏼
Great video.......Deadwoods still catches me out. Getting better, but I find it really tricky!!

Thanks 👍🏼 yeah was good to see you too. 🤙🏼
Hi mate can you ride to this track from the main parking spot near the shops or is it to far? Cheers

That trail did not look like a Black Diamond trail compared to what we call Black Trail here. It was a good ride tho.
Yeah its very deceiving.. those tree roots can catch you out.
Thanks!
