Sure is 👍🏼 Comm Games or as it’s called State MTB course is trail number 10 . It is classed as a black diamond trail.

I’ll get back out there later in the year and have a crack at it.. been ages since I done Granite .. I fell off too 😂

It’s been a while since I rode Follow Me and Aneurysm… I still prefer Follow me because I love the tech start and rock drops. But aneurysm is just as fun too.!

Cool.. I don’t think I’ll beat my fastest time again… Dog Pound isn’t running as fast as it used too… Like a lot of trails everywhere.. but it’s still a fun trail 👌🏼

Thanks.! Yeah Deadwoods is a tricky one now as it has washed out more due to storms.. so the small gaps after tree roots are now bigger and deeper.. but still a fun trail to ride. 😎

@@bengray_adventures Yeah, totally agree...some of those little drops look a little sketchy. I guess the trick is to just hit them at a solid pace and trust the bike and suspension

Which trail are you talking of? First one is Top Gun.. then Corner Cutter followed by Samba 🤙🏼only sections of the last 2 are shown in the video.

I missed Woodstock but will definitely hit it next time.. and I done Lachies a couple of times but it didn’t show up on my Strava 🙄 and downhill was fun but not sure if it was upgraded too.. I’ll be riding there next weekend most likely 😎🤙🏼

@@EddyOtway all the trails have been and maintained by the Gippsland MTB club… not sure if sanctioned ? Maryvale pines is in a pine plantation..so that’s private property I guess?

@@bengray_adventures well they’d have at least 10 years before it’s logged I guess, trees are fairly small

Hey no that’s fine to ride from the shops.. I always park there.. you can get to deadwoods via Hillview quarry road(off boundary rd) or climb up through the mtb park and there is a trail that takes you to the top of dead and Crits. I can meet you there sometime and show you around if you want? Cheers 🤙🏼

Cheers Paul 🤙🏼 as for Crits/Deadwoods..yes the only way back up is the fire trail.. and I mostly park at the Boundary rd carpark at the bottom of the park… ride up on pine climb, slippery Gypsy, Wonga to the top… and ride along to do Crits ect… and it’s an easy ride to get to Sawtooth from there.. and when I come back down the park I’ll do Rock salt… fall line or wombat. There’s plenty of options… plus sometimes I’ll park at Seawinds carpark( near the Eagle chairlift) to do Sawtooth, Bowsaw, charlottes.. I can meet up with you sometime to show you around the park better if you like.. thanks for watching my vids too 😎🤙🏼

Hey.! Yeah they are a big beast of a bike. Mine is a size Small frame… I’m 5’6 👍🏼 The 29res make it look like a BMX frame with big wheels 😂 Bloody fun bike though 👌🏼👌🏼 Are you thinking of getting one? What are you riding currently?

@@bengray_adventures I just sold my Rockhopper pro which has a 2 x drivetrain and XC geometry and 100mm fork. There is a medium torrent for sale for a good price (I’m 6’). I love the purple, the modern geometry and long fork. I’m thinking of buying, thrashing it around then eventually chuck a GX or XT groupset on it. It’s $1500, just need to get out and try it for size once lockdown ends

@@anthonyb924 sounds good mate.! A medium would be perfect for you. And I’m the same….I’ll be upgrading the drivetrain after I’ve thrashed it.. rockshox 35 forks have already had a rebuild, warranty claim ..… I’m running 2 tokens and they are great for a budget fork.. as for the SX drivetrain…I’ve had no problems.. love the TRP trail brakes.

@@bengray_adventures hmm I guess that’s a risk I’ll have to consider buying 2nd hand. I’ve never messed with tokens, only really just started watching videos about them recently, will most likely experiment though.

@@anthonyb924 I ended out putting 2 tokens in because I was diving too much in travel when hard braking/ landing.. my local bike shop, Chainbrain sorted me out👌🏼 as for the warranty claim.. the inner air seal had moved and was buggered.. Rockshox replaced the whole lower assembly 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼 I swapped out the rear Assagai for a Dissector as soon as I brought the bike too.

Yeah it is more like a blue compared to the black runs I ride at RedHill.. but some of the rocky tech sections are still classed as black i reckon.. stay tuned mate I’ll be doing a full video (edited) of Comm Games. 😎🤙🏼

Thanks 🤙🏼 yeah it is a fun track.! I find chest mount to be my best view. Looking at doing the full comm games track and do both chest mount view and GoPro mounted on a tripod,film myself doing the tech climbs. What do you think?
