Followed this video for biometrics today at the same center. And this is my experience. Don’t come too early , come before just 5 mins that is pretty enough. Premium service is only helpful only when you wanted a person for passport pickup and drop or else premium service is seriously waste of money. Manager over there is quit helpful No need of consent form. Total process took just 15 mins

I guess now the process is changed. I got my BIL on 5th Jan 22, when I visited VFS site, there was no option for me to see the available dates. Now we have to just select the city, and upload your BIL letter and submit. An automated email came with my appointment details, date, time and city I choose. I guess this process has both pros and cons, Agent cannot book all appointment dates in advance and genuine applicants will get the slot. Con is if you are in hurry and city doesn't matter for you, we cannot see the latest available date in each city.
Wow thank u so much iam waiting for my biometric appointment but I didn't get the BIL yet I have paid for it and 30days over by today still 15 days pending and u have explained it very nice by point to point once again thanks for the update.
Update: From 2022 you cannot book a biometrics appointment before submitting the visa file. Now you cannot book a slot, they will automatically select for you due to the volume of applications.

anyone who is going to fill there form now make sure to fill name of city in which your biometric appointment is going to take place. Don't write name of your home city. Many states don't have VFS global, so applicants have to travel to another city.

I just completed my biometrics for canada, I printed my concent form And leave signature coloum my brother said they will ask you sign in their office, so in their VFS Global office i asked mam( who attach token to your file) that i didn't sign on concent form but she showed her hand like it is ok, same on counter(where they put document in file) that sir also waved his hand. I am unable to provide a proper biometrics of my right hand... The person there tried a lot to take it properly... He even gave time for me to wash my hands, use sanitizer, wipe my hands etc but it was not properly taken since my finger prints were not very clear.... He told that he will mention a note as 'Due to skin condition unable to get it properly' ... Now I don't know what will happen next... Will they accept it or should I give it again.... I am just 28 and never faced any such issue wonder y my finger prints are smoothened.... Have anyone faced this issue??? pls reply

Concent letter isn't required for Minor child, however Rs 524 to be paid at Vfs office while submitting passport

Forms uploaded -28 dec , Jan 2nd biometric, feb 2nd ppr request, Feb 6th submitted the passport, feb 7th received mail to collect the stamped passport
