Dressage rider and author Karen Rohlf explains how she incorporates natural horsemanship in her relationship with her horse. The Horse Show with Rick Lamb 3/26/16 hour 1
I enjoyed this a lot, I have a new horse, Hanoverian mare, rising 14 yrs & a brood mare for a majority of her life, for the last 6 months she has undergone training in dressage with a 2nd owner & I feel her training was rushed. I follow the Parelli programme with my other mare & feel Raz will really benefit from the natural horsemanship approach, she seems anxious in the bit & although she collects beautifully I am not convinced she is really relaxed so I hope by incorporating natural horsemanship with dressage I can help her feel comfortable in her movements naturally, It was so great to listen to Karen , so many dressage riders out there are old school! I am looking into buying her book, just hope it’s shippable to the U.K.! Big thanks 😊
