i played dbd once an i went back to idv (the dbd copy from netease that does anime crossovers) , the game feels too slow paced for me but i do like some of the game characters.
Ngl, Ive been both doom and gloom and insanely positive over the game over the years. Love the game as well, though I did hit that wall for a bit when it became stale. Just due to seeing the same killers, perks (both surv and killer side), add ons. Which I mostly attest to the failed esports/tournament scene, and the content creators who still try and act like this game has a chance to still be that. Effectively gaslighting the community, and leading to alot more of a sweaty and toxic atmosphere. Part of it is inevitable, people will optimize, and nowadays form teams in anything. Willing to bet I could find a comp Mario Party team 😂. Though all this did was fast track the community into that mindset. Which would be fine, honestly, if there werent so many annoying things in this game, and BHVR running concepts into the ground. All the endurance status effects making survs feel invincible, or all the gen blocking perks keeping survs from their only objective, mixed with the oher 2-3 slowdowns. Personally, I think they should remove the slowdown and progression from all perks, add ons, and items. Remove any variables and standardize gen speeds. Then replace all that was removed with something more engaging. I dont want to sound negative, not my intention. Just offering my own perspective on where the game falls short. Though far from everything that should be discussed. Running into 6 Blights in a row, or similar strings rather frequently, deserves a topic all its own lol.
thatd definitely make the game interesting. I dont run a lot of slowdown on killer as is, so Id orilly be fine. Though not having anything to keep gen speed perks in check is spooky for long term, maybe they'd have too look at those too. Im here for the chase and makes sure I do those, even with maining a character that isnt known for her chases. I did take a break during the gen kick meta, I was very unhappy with the game at that point and recognized it. So I did take a break. I will always look forward to the changes though. It helps break metas and bring life in to the game.
Yessir, dbd is something I play on and off, I never grind it hard (Except for when I first played) To me it’s a fun game, even with sweats, just don’t overplay it ig
Behavior devs have never played their own game. ANd thus their stuff is awful. No legion or ghostface buffs. M1 killers have gotten even worse after MFT and perks after MFT that allow you to juke even EASIER as a surv. Legion being in a sorry state for years and m1 killers only being ignored/nerfed into the floor for years due to indirect or direct nerfs has gotten old. They don't play their own game. And when they do, they play surv. They tell you to "play something else" well i am, i've had the game uninstalled for years because everytime I reinstall to try for a couple games I'm met with meta slaves and it has killed my enjoyment. I want to reinstall for alien but playing whesker showed me the MFT meta and immediately uninstal;led after only a handful of games despite loving whesker. It's just pathetic how badly this game is balanced and the perkls they keep adding are even worse than the year before. they don't play their own game... So why should i?
if you've started playing this year YAY!!! I've been playing since 2016 and only recently have I just been so uninterested in everything they're churning out. It's very clearly a lot of lowest common denominator stuff, fnaf will bring me back just like chucky did but unless they get the X trilogy or AHS after that, idk if I'll stay. None of the recent skins have interested me, and I really hate how predatory the battle pass model is.
I am a little over a year in a little over a thousand hours and it is my favorite game and I am one that didn't care for 2v8 mainly because I am barely good at the regular game. So I am all in on the game.
It feels like you mentioned a lot of things the devs have done wrong, without backing it up or saying anything they did right. "the game is awful, multiple killer changes have been bad, perks have stayed bugged for so long, but it's not like other live service games tho!" No offense I swear! I absolutely live the vibes
Hope it's not me I try to be positive I know I've been talking bad about 2v8 for a bit but it's just how I felt. The game is long from dead and I wish people would see that League of Legends dies every week from what the internet says
The game sucks, the coding sucks, the devs suck, the higher roles in charge of the devs suck, the competitive player base sucks, the balance sucks, the monetization sucks and this community smells like a call of duty lobby had a baby with a league of legends rank game. No crap there's so much negativity that sticks to DBD.
