This video shows the rare heirloom seeds I have decided to grow during the growing season. I have peppers, tomatoes, and melon seeds. These seed varieties are not sold in the big box stores. I am excited to plant these rare seeds. I also talk about the benefits of trying new varieties. I may find a new favorite vegetable or fruit. The seeds were purchased from Baker Creek.
Ah! The violet sparkle peppers are my all-time-favorite peppers when allowed to fully ripen red. Bright and sweet- outstanding. I know you're gonna love them.

Cherokee Purple tomatoes are one of the best tasting available! I absolutely love them.

I'm excited to Mr. Brown....lol Can not wait to get into it. I'm trying a few new things this year. I do try something new every year thus far. I did that strawberry melon last year. It didn't get big enough because it fell and busted on the ground. Bad decision on my part, doing melons on a trellis. I think I will keep them on the ground from now on...lol Melons have no business on a trellis. 😂 Got more seeds on the way. Gardening is so fun. Tfs

HELLO GardeningToday, That's great you try new things every year. It makes it exciting. Melons on the trellis, yes, I did not think about very windy days. 🤣 I might put small melons on the trellis like cantaloupes. I hope your garden does amazing.
I bought quite a few newbies of tomato kinds and so far my seedlings look beautiful. I wish you luck and i will try to post some info about my black beauty and Cherokee tomatoes.

Also trying the Dads Sunset variety and theyre supposed to be a full tomatoe as well. Good luck on your garden😊

I don't know how I missed the Strawberry melon when I ordered my seeds, I don't dare order it now, I've gone crazy on seeds for this year (Baker Creek and MI gardener) . . I had such a great crop of melons last year I decided to add 13 new melon varieties for this year. I'm subscribing just to find out how that melon does! please make sure to share the details. (I'll check out your channel as soon as I have some time I still haven't laid out where everything is going in the garden this year )I need to buy more laundry baskets to put on top of the melons to keep the varmints from eating the ones I don't trellis. I got the Royal Golden too. I really did good with Ali Baba last year the smallest one was 22 lbs and the largest wouldn't fit in the fridge without cuttings it up, I'm looking forward to checking out more of your garden videos
HELLO, MaryJane!!! Yes, I've heard about the strawberry melon and decided to grow it. I will let you know if the animals don't get them. The basket is a good idea. I had rabbits chewing the vines. That was my first year i ever had that problem. 13 more varieties, that is great. How much space do you have to grow them? Thanks for subscribing and checking out my other videos when you have time.
