    Hey Bear can you make a video tutorial on how to trellis watermelons and cucumbers in 25 gal fabric grow pots PLEASE 😅🙏😇

      HEY Christmas!!! I have a video how to make a trellis for cucumbers. If you put that pot by that trellis, you will have cucumbers hanging around. I have a video called How to grow large watermelons on a trellis, That might work as well.

    Hello I just found your video and I wanted to watch It. I actually watched the thing about your pineapple top plant, and I went ahead and came to your channel. I saw this and wanted to watch to see if I could learn anything neew. I've been growing strawberries in those exact same containers for several years, and I just have a tip for you. You may end up having to unstack them because the ones that aren't facing the sun won't get any sun and they won't do as well unless you rotate them everyday. I didn't have time to rotate them every day, so I ended up unstacking them. It just works better for me.
    Hopefully, you have better luck with them stacked. I can't wait to see your progress. Thanks so much for making videos!

      HEY, Michelle!!! Thanks for the tip. I will definitely be on the lookout. Have you grown a pineapple plant before? I may have to rotate the planters like you said.

    I have the same containers. How often do you fertilize and water? I understand that I may not live in the same zone as you but I would like to know your routine.

      HEY, James!!! I have to do an update on this. You don't want my schedule. I did not do well. I would use compost tea twice a week myself. For me, I think the pots are too small. My roots were decent size. I did get a few berries, but they were small. The heat fried mine eventually, so I would water 2 to 3 times a week, but that's why mine eventually fried. I will do better next time.

    Hi Bear, I enjoyed your strawberry video. I have a question: can I direct sow strawberries or is a must to transplant them?
    Also I’ve seen people cut a sliver of strawberry skin and planted that. Have you ever tried this method? If so how did it turn out?

    • @GrowSomethingTasty
      @GrowSomethingTasty  5 месяцев назад

      HEY Meka!!! How are you? You can do both. I have never tried by seed. I know it's quicker to buy the bareroots. I have read that many prefer to get the bareroots. I have seen people plant the skin of the strawberry, but I don't know. I might try it to see if there is a difference .

      If you do buy some bareroots berries, you won't ever have to buy them again. All those plants came from runners

    Do you prune your strawberries? Mine have lots of runners and I’m not sure if that’s the cause for my berries growing in so slowww.. and few far in between lol.. thanks for your knowledge

    • @GrowSomethingTasty
      @GrowSomethingTasty  3 месяца назад +1

      HEY, TheDreamHaven!!!! Yes, that is taking energy away from the berries. I let my runners grow when I'm trying to make more plants. My planner did not do great, I'm going to try a bigger planter for more soil.

    • @TheDreamHaven
      @TheDreamHaven 3 месяца назад

      Okay I kinda figured. The leaves started turning brown like they are burned too. I’m not sure if it’s too hot here or what lol.. so I’m trying everything to see where I’m going wrong. First I’m going to tackle those runners since I don’t need anymore strawberry plants and see if that helps. Love your videos..

      HEY Majordadsc!!! I need to do a video on it. I did get some strawberries but they were small. The tower needs deeper pots for more soil. That's just my opinion. Hopefully, I will find one like that.

      @GrowSomethingTasty  5 месяцев назад

      HEY, Dag4836!!! I planted benton and San Andreas strawberries. Yes, actually, those plants in the tower were all from runners. At the end of that video, there is another strawberry video where I showed how to get those plants from the runners.

    • @dag4836
      @dag4836 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@GrowSomethingTasty I’ve never Rev grown strawberries. Do I really want runners in a tower or should I plant a variety that doesn’t produce runners? What kind of nightmare will I get with runners? I was surprised they have varieties that don’t produce them.

    • @GrowSomethingTasty
      @GrowSomethingTasty  5 месяцев назад

      @dag4836 The runners turned into an identical plant. When I put them in the tower, they are new plants. I'm pretty sure when I order bareroot strawberries, they are from runners. You will never have to buy strawberries again unless you want a different variety. I don't think it will be a nightmare unless the plant is not fully developed and you try to plant it somewhere else

    • @dag4836
      @dag4836 5 месяцев назад

      @@GrowSomethingTasty I meant as they are growing and shooting out runners, won’t they get out of hand? Do you just keep snipping them off?

    • @GrowSomethingTasty
      @GrowSomethingTasty  5 месяцев назад

      @dag4836 You can cut them or put them in a cup of soil until they are an established plant.
