Looks great! Hope you can go full-time with your channel. Love to watch your videos although I cannot buy most of the stuff you review in Germany😂 On which level of the homegym grief does that put me?😉😂
Did you install the barbell gun rack into studs or into the wood sheeting? Also, what length lag bolts did you use?I need to remove mine and then put it on stringers so I can mount my Kabuki Transformer bar. 48” is too wide due to the selector knobs. 44” looks to be the sweet spot so that my Kabuki Kadillac Bar will still fit on the rack too.
The bolts are in the shiplap, there are no studs for this type of construction. I don't really have to worry like you would with sheetrock so it makes things a little easier.
Just regular Gorilla Tape. I debated the waterproof stuff but didn't really think it was necessary if this does lift up I'll just swap it to that later.
Great video! Quick question: are you using the horse stall mats that everybody recommends or did you buy gym mats specifically? I see that you use tape to attach them together, any recommendation on the brand? (i.e. something that holds well but doesn't destroy the mats when being removed)
Those are from tractor supply, 3/4" thick and 4'x6'. Nothing special on the mats. We debated rolling something fancy out but we don't have that kinda revenue haha. That's regular old Gorilla tape, I debated waterproof gorilla tape but this regular. If it doesn't work in the temps I'll try that. Also thank you!

Initially I thought that puts you on depression but you seem OK with it so maybe you're at acceptance and hope 😂 thank you!
Nice work on the gym. Excited to see what it looks like finished. What type of tape did you use to keep the horse stall mats together?
Just regular Gorilla Tape. I debated waterproof but already had regular. If it's an issue I'll just replace it down the road
How did you find out that the gym you got your functional trainer from was closing?
Facebook marketplace oddly enough
Did you install the barbell gun rack into studs or into the wood sheeting? Also, what length lag bolts did you use?I need to remove mine and then put it on stringers so I can mount my Kabuki Transformer bar. 48” is too wide due to the selector knobs. 44” looks to be the sweet spot so that my Kabuki Kadillac Bar will still fit on the rack too.
The bolts are in the shiplap, there are no studs for this type of construction. I don't really have to worry like you would with sheetrock so it makes things a little easier.
@@GlucksGym I put 2x10 stringers up, so mine are now in those.
What kind of tape do you use for the seams on your stall mats?
@@GlucksGym Great, thanks, appreciate the color. The gym is starting to look amazing!
You're welcome, thanks for the support.
Matt could have moved all that equipment in half the time. Wynie is dope. Your buddy kind of looks like a buffer Jimmy Fallon
You know I really let Matt off easy on this one, you're right. Wynie is the best! Lol I'm gonna have to tell him that one about Jimmy.
u should put a pool in the gym next so i can swim while u guys work out
Should I take over the third bay for more gym equipment first?
but didnt you already take over the 3rd bay
@@baylee0831 I mean I park there sometimes and maybe put boxes there 😈
