  • We are starting to finish these builds now as materials start to come back on line. Tutorials will resume very shortly. And Im working my way way through the plan packs if your still waiting, im going as quick as I can and ill have them to you soon. Thanks for your patience!

    What a cracking job top quality. The only bug bear I have is the void under the floor . You know what vermin are like. any gaps and there in. It's like decking that's where they make their nests . Would it have not been easier with a concrete floor ?.

    lovely room.
    a question about these garden rooms in general. How does it work when installing against a hedge. Do you need to remove the hedge or can the room be installed against a hedge ?
    Also do you install in Ireland ? thanks

    Hi love the vids with regards to the rain water of the roof does it have to go into a soak away or can it just go on the floor thinking about a 5 by 3 no drain near me

      we just send it away from the build mate, occasionally do a soak away if customer wants one

    Is the finished size on the 4x2 CLS timber actually 100x50mm or is it 89x38mm.I’m looking at using both 50mm PIR insulation boards & 25mm Acoustic Rockwool slab in the walls .Thanks

    My husband is home soon from work in Afghanistan.....During Covid he has been away longer than he should and he tells me hes addicted to your videos! So I had to check you out 🤣....he is hoping to build me this size for my new garden office...Thank you for keeping my hubby sane while hes been away ....hes excited to build one and so thank you for inspiring him 👍

      Brian Miller if I was building my own I’d use two 5x2’s bolted together as a lintel, but if it’s a paid job, I’d use Steel

    do you put in a internal vapour control layer before you put plasterboard up and what plasterboard would you recommend , just finishing off my attempt at a home office , cheers

      Yes we do mate, then use regular 12.5mm plaster boards

    Hi Liam - think I've watched all the vids so far - just finalising my plans and ordering materials - is there a reason the back (feather edge) is single batten, but the front and side are double battened?

      Stu C in a LGV no reason, except we didn’t have enough at the time of building 🙈, the back wall will never get weathered in this occasion so air flow to keep moisture at bay is not an issue

    Great video again William!👍 Can I ask a question regarding the earthing arrangement for the electrical supply. Are you installing an earth electrode or exporting the PME via the armoured cable from the main house?
    Again great work mate! I'm just working out what size room I need and I'll be emailing you for a build pack soon!!😁

      we bring the earth from the house supply mate, its 3 core so carries an ear and swa is also earthed

    Other than solar or connecting to main house...how could one add light and electricity to these type of diy sheds? Any advice I'm looking to build something like this.

      Rule is
      And it’s bloody grey !
      You can build on the boundary, but under 2.5, fire retardant..... and the rest
      Customers want it pushed back as far as possible.
      Rule of thumb
      If your neighbor is a wan@:r follow the law
      If not, push it back

      not done one yet, although they can be. If building control are involved it'll be a completely different spec though

    i see you build your bases to give roughly a 50mm air gap underneath but how high can you realistically lift the base off the floor with the rod system....safely lol...Ian

      I’d be concerned about lateral movement mate, we’ve gone 400+ but the opposite side was near ground level, this prevent any (wobble)

      william griffin thank you for the reply, I am in the process of costing a garden room for my self if you can help. What size bifold doors do you use if the height is restricted to 2.5m and you have to use a steel beam above the doors? I have also thought about using the ground screw base, is your method cheaper in the long run for materials and time as I am considering your method.

      Height is everything! I struggle to see how some people get round thus, 1950 is door height, can’t be anything more!!
