These are absolutely beautiful.. this guy knows his onions
really good work William I'm really enjoying all of your videos, a lot of good woodworking skills are been shared in your videos and u don't leave out anything of the small stuff, which oftentimes are forgotten. keep up the good work!
Fabulous, love the black windows/patio doors and the black roof.
Nice build, looks great
Great job, Thanks for sharing.
Nice build, love the cladding
That looks awesome.
What a cracking job top quality. The only bug bear I have is the void under the floor . You know what vermin are like. any gaps and there in. It's like decking that's where they make their nests . Would it have not been easier with a concrete floor ?.
Great work
Oh wow! This is perfect!
Great job!
martin james thanks mate
Nice job i would also be interested in how much it cost cheers mate
Such a shame that you are not close by, take care and stay safe.
lovely room.
a question about these garden rooms in general. How does it work when installing against a hedge. Do you need to remove the hedge or can the room be installed against a hedge ?
Also do you install in Ireland ? thanks
Great job
Looks Quality
Good job. What's the price for these?
Wish you guys could come to Jersey and build mine.. can't get anyone to do over here.
We've all been missing you Liam 😃😃
ill be back with a vengeance! next full build, may do a day in the life, show you all why im single and friendless ;-)
@@thegardenroomguru ha ha , I'm pretty sure people would watch a full days build.
What is the roof constructed with and how is it covered and insulated?
fantastic as always well done.. any updates on any more bespoke plans i know you sold out really quick missed my chance :(
still working through these, ill try do more but I need to sleep ;-(
Do you need planning for these buildings?
Is that 3x3m on the external dimension?
Hi love the vids with regards to the rain water of the roof does it have to go into a soak away or can it just go on the floor thinking about a 5 by 3 no drain near me
we just send it away from the build mate, occasionally do a soak away if customer wants one
How much do those doors/ window cost?!
How much do all the materials cost really? I'm very interested in these
Is the finished size on the 4x2 CLS timber actually 100x50mm or is it 89x38mm.I’m looking at using both 50mm PIR insulation boards & 25mm Acoustic Rockwool slab in the walls .Thanks
89x38 mate
hello William, How much will this exact size cost me and I am in Peterborough. I actually want you to do everything?
very nice
You beat Tommy Walsh hands down, should have your own tv program lol
Just out of curiosity. How much would a standard 3x3 cost ?
Keep them coming 👊
My husband is home soon from work in Afghanistan.....During Covid he has been away longer than he should and he tells me hes addicted to your videos! So I had to check you out 🤣....he is hoping to build me this size for my new garden office...Thank you for keeping my hubby sane while hes been away ....hes excited to build one and so thank you for inspiring him 👍
love this! wish you both the best of luck x
@@thegardenroomguru If he makes a mess of it ...I'll call you 🤣🤣
fiona perkins 🤣if he’s in security over there, I’ll give it a miss 🙈
@@thegardenroomguru 🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant videos
Just wanted to ask a question
I’m going to start my own project and will be fitting french doors will it need a hollow steel beam or just timber cheers brian
Brian Miller if I was building my own I’d use two 5x2’s bolted together as a lintel, but if it’s a paid job, I’d use Steel
Cheers thanks for reply
Keep up the good work 👍
do you put in a internal vapour control layer before you put plasterboard up and what plasterboard would you recommend , just finishing off my attempt at a home office , cheers
Yes we do mate, then use regular 12.5mm plaster boards
Good evening, what's the biggest size garden room? You can build without permitted development. ? Thanks
Hi Liam - think I've watched all the vids so far - just finalising my plans and ordering materials - is there a reason the back (feather edge) is single batten, but the front and side are double battened?
Stu C in a LGV no reason, except we didn’t have enough at the time of building 🙈, the back wall will never get weathered in this occasion so air flow to keep moisture at bay is not an issue
Nice.
The amount of people who think he's going to put the price of a bespoke garden room in the You Tube comments section 🤣
Great video again William!👍 Can I ask a question regarding the earthing arrangement for the electrical supply. Are you installing an earth electrode or exporting the PME via the armoured cable from the main house?
Again great work mate! I'm just working out what size room I need and I'll be emailing you for a build pack soon!!😁
we bring the earth from the house supply mate, its 3 core so carries an ear and swa is also earthed
@@thegardenroomguru
How much it cost 3/3
Hi, I’d like to build a photography studio in my garden. I’ve got the space and I just don’t seem to know how to go about building a studio, or good professionals who can set it up for me. Can you please help with information?
How much does a room this size cost?
Hi LIam, when putting a steel in, what distance do you put the ends over the supporting walls please?
200mm each side
@@thegardenroomguru thank you Liam
Hi there, can I get a quote 3m by 3m gaden office same as the one in the video. Thanks
Other than solar or connecting to main house...how could one add light and electricity to these type of diy sheds? Any advice I'm looking to build something like this.
there is no other way apart from a wind turbine I guess
Petrol generator and batteries
How many days/weeks does something like this take your lads to build?🔨
none covid supply issues, this take 6 days to paint finish
william griffin thats impressive mate nice work!
Will, 🥴we’ve got the idea of what you do very very nice mate but 😴 how do they comply with regs when it comes to the area from the boarders ?
Rule is
And it’s bloody grey !
You can build on the boundary, but under 2.5, fire retardant..... and the rest
Customers want it pushed back as far as possible.
Rule of thumb
If your neighbor is a wan@:r follow the law
If not, push it back
william griffin 😂👍
Class.
How long should we allow for a project like this? Btw, the finished building looks brilliant,
none covid, 5 days, covid , take your pick, ;-)
@@thegardenroomguru 5 days! That can't be including decorating surely, the plaster is going to need 3 days minimum before painting.
@@joefowler9600 Shut up Joe you busy body. Take what the man says and shut your trap ya melt.
@Marv get your husbands dinner on, Marv.
2 RCDS and 5 mcbs. heater. sockets. lights. you got 2 light and 2 socket mcbs?.
I don't like blanks mate, its just my preference
What’s the price for one of these? Thanks.
About £15,000
Can they be attached to an existing house. Like an extension if so any videos
not done one yet, although they can be. If building control are involved it'll be a completely different spec though
Hi how much for something like this plz.
i see you build your bases to give roughly a 50mm air gap underneath but how high can you realistically lift the base off the floor with the rod system....safely lol...Ian
I’d be concerned about lateral movement mate, we’ve gone 400+ but the opposite side was near ground level, this prevent any (wobble)
Nice Job William! Is the window upvc or Ali? Are they from a supplier in Leeds? Thanks
How wide are the bifold doors?
RJR these are 2.7 mate
Do you need planning permission for something like this?
generally no, they fall under permitted development mate
Hi Liam, where do you get your western red cedar from. If you could get back to me that would be great.
Joe Earl Duffield timber Ripon mate
william griffin thank you for the reply, I am in the process of costing a garden room for my self if you can help. What size bifold doors do you use if the height is restricted to 2.5m and you have to use a steel beam above the doors? I have also thought about using the ground screw base, is your method cheaper in the long run for materials and time as I am considering your method.
Height is everything! I struggle to see how some people get round thus, 1950 is door height, can’t be anything more!!
william griffin great, thank you for your advise. Is your pile system cheaper than ground screws? Your videos have been excellent for guidance and knowledge. Would you consider selling any more of your packs that you advertised recently?
Hi, have you seen a high increase in price for materials and cedar cladding since COVID 19.
I'm buying a new house soon and would like a garden office like that. How much did that cost the customer if you don't mind me asking?
-£15-£20k is my guess.
The folding doors alone ain’t gonna be cheap... but like he said, they’re good quality. Get what you pay for 👍
Cost to him be about 8k labour and materials my bet.. this guy is coining it in.. cost customer 20k all day long
And he does them in days.. not weeks
@@jononeill8729 more like 8k just in materials, without anybodys labour.
Hey Man, whats the best way to get in touch?? I would like to sit down with you to discuss one for our house but we live in Manchester, would you stretch that far? I would head over your way for initial chat?
hi, we are only covering West Yorkshire at the moment im afraid
@@thegardenroomguru Thats a shame!! I know its not likely, but if winter work is needed ill happily have it done in Dec/Jan :) Thanks for getting back to me though. If you have any recommendations of people over this way please let me know
Hi William, great video again. Can I ask where you got the bi folds from and good much they cost over seen so many option but as you say these ones look great.
Cheers
Chris
C Hanns express bi folds mate, quality product at a great price
@@thegardenroomguru thanks a lot :)
This must have cost over 80,000 pounds
Wonder how much he would charge summit like this
Hi, could you come and give us a quote for a similar sort of room. Thank you
To all thoes asking about the price, think about it, would you give estimates over RUclips for your work? Contact him direct, through his website, it's the only way!
I can't put a price on it, its unprofessional, and, well, you summed it up
Those asking are a little lazy. And the spec of each job will be slightly different too; size, number of sockets, number and size of windows etc.
armoris66 £20,000 ono.....
Lots lower
william griffin , from start to finish with vat , that's very reasonable.
Hi will those nuts are they lock nuts
Just regular nuts locked off against each other, building weight does the rest
As an apartment for people too small,
but too big as a kennel. Toilet
there is not any. They just shit in the corner, huh?
Are you a moron ?
Should stretch these out to 10 minutes to get monitized.
lol, I bore myself mate, trying to keep my subs, but I hear you!
