    I'm a teacher and I also struggle to keep a work life balance at times. I find what has helped me lately is doing things when I want to, I often come home and think I should do this for school tomorrow but then I stop myself and think I don't really need or want to do that so I don't! I guess it's prioritising my time and what I really want to do. Maybe you could film videos before you go to uni, then edit on the train there, go to class, then come home to rest and relax. You will find something that works for you I'm sure, just do the best you can at prioritising what you really want 💕

    You can tell when I feel out of control and my life is falling apart by the state of my room! The minute life gets out of control the first thing I do is stop everything and clean up- if I can get my room back together my life falls back into place. Thanks for the motivation!

    I was feeling all over the place lately, especially being in Upstate NY, the humidity and the weather killed my productivity and I felt like I was in a rut. I used to drag myself around the house for too long especially if I don't wake up before my husband. I added few things to my routine that are extremely helpful. I meal prepped smoothies, so now when I wake up, I go to the bathroom, as I am leaving the room, I put on yoga clothes, go make a smoothie for both of us, drink it as I journal and go straight to doing some yoga to get energized. Then it is skincare, breakfast. The perks are that I feel like I have achieved tons in the morning and I can get down to business. Also, if I need to wash my hair I shower at night so that I can straighten my hair in the morning. Hope this helps :)

    I totally hear you. I work full-time in a stressful job and just started a PM course and feel totally out of sorts. I’ve found reducing my screen time and taking time to read actual books (not audio) has helped give my brain a break.

    When I need a reset I generally will go through deep meditation and write down my goals. I also will have my affirmations set in my mind and repeat them over and over again during meditation. Then I will do a one hour timed sweep of everything that I want to do. So I will do a ton of tasks in that hour that CAN realistically be done in one hour. Cleaning, organizing, laundry, reading, maybe a quick hw assignment as well.

    Take some time in nature and get grounded in your energy. Find your center and go from there. I think and feel many are trying to get into a routine of things. Hope this helps maybe journaling what you are experiencing would help clarify things as well.

    i love this! i’m also feeling the same way right now! i finished uni this week and for the next week all my assignments are due for the end of trimester, and what i find that helps is writing out two to four weeks in advance all the major things you HAVE to do (assignment wise and life wise, and i guess for you RUclips wise) and then filling in basic things like eating, sleeping, hygiene, cleaning, etc, then displaying that somewhere (like a calendar) so that you can kind of picture in your head the weeks coming up and really decide what you can and can’t find in a week/day to avoid stressing yourself out, and don’t forget to add things that remind and make you feel like you’re at home, etc.
    hope this helps although i know you’re a pretty organised person so you’ve probably got this idea in mind haha, best of luck! 😊

    You can do meal cooking prep on weekends especially saturday,where you can buy for all the week the food and meal prep.also every sunday you can do pumper routine. On Wednesdays you can keep it as a day to treat yourself with whatever makes you happy(a bath,a movie,reading a book)and try to sleep the same time everyday that u have uni 💗

    Hi Rachel! I'm trying to balance two businesses and a life, and guess what? I am always tired. The thing is, I believe it's because life throws things at you in order to challenge you and make sure this really is what you want. I suggest you make a list of all of the things you prioritise. Everything that pops in your mind - career, money, friends, food, etc. Then take a deep breath and intuitively choose your top 5. That's where you need to spend 80% of your efforts. And delegate! You don't have to do everything yourself. It gets better with time, trust me :) thank you for uploading so consistently! X - Sofia

    I find that every morning or night when my day is done, take out a notepad and dump all your thoughts and feelings. I find this helps me to get my feelings under control and to help me validate them so I don’t feel like I’m feeling all these negative emotions for no reason (or positive!). By validatinbgmy emotions I’m left feeling calmer and kinda like “okay I’m feeling stressed because...” and it helps me understand myself better and gives me more of a clarity as to why I’m feeling like that and how I can better it. Also, LISTS are your best friend. I make a list for everything. So for example for you, you could write down the night before the routine you can out in place for the next morning depending on what time you’re gonna be getting up because you know yourself that this changes every day if you have a later class or an early start. These lists will give you a kick start or even a practice to try different routines and find what’s best for you! I hope this helps!

    Ok, I was too quick commenting haha. I am in kinda the same situation. What I do is I make a planning on paper each week, blocking my classes. And then each night I sit down to look/ plan my next day. Also: an overview of my assignments in a spread (bullet journal like) so I can keep track of what to do for which class and before which deadline. And no matter what, headspace in the morning. It is the best ❤️. I have loads more to get balanced, but one step at a time...

    I do full-time uni, work a paid job 16 hours per week, have another unpaid job in academia and run 5 times per week - life is hectic!
    My main practical suggestions: meal prep (I'm boring so I cook two big meals and then just eat them until they run out, this means I save time cooking and doing dishes daily and don't have to think about what to make), calendar blocking (from my to do list I put all my tasks for today on my calendar so I can see if what I've got planned is too ambitious and it helps keep me accountable, use odd moments of time (eg queuing for something) to reply to an email etc, have set times when you use social media (personal not business use) so it doesn't eat up your whole day, see if you can multitask simple things (for example while I eat breakfast I pack my bag and lunch), schedule contingency/ admin time (most days I have half an hour to an hour set aside to do admin/ catch up on stuff that I may not have been able to finish throughout the day)
    What I think is the most important thing is knowing when to take a step back and take out a few hours/ a day for yourself to relax or do whatever you want so you can go back to everything you do and apply yourself 100% without burning out. Good luck!

      I did just do some meal prep and found some nice little soups at Woolies to take to uni which are cheap and easy so hopefully that will take some pressure off. Thanks so much for all the tips. I’ll give them a go ❤️🧡

      @timeturnerrequired650 6 лет назад

      Wow those soups definitely wouldn't fill me up haha. Honestly you sound like you've got your life pretty much together (some days/ weeks are worse than others) but as long as you're enjoying it all you should be okay!

    I understand your overwhelming feelings. When you go on holiday you think your having a fun break. But this yr I went on a cruise for 3weeks too Hong Kong, vietnam and Singapore. But traveling from 28hours back and forth has fucked me off. I got ill and have had a chest infection for a month. I've only left normal past few days. Just get all your journals/planners/eat healthy/excerise/wake up early . But do it gradually. I follow Rachel Hollis and she did this #last90days challenge. She's doing it this year too. Basically each year before new years she starts her new years resolution. So that way by January she's already established a habit. Its a community so everyone does it. You get a email every week to motivate you xxxx

  • @polly2900
    @polly2900 6 лет назад

    Shop online for groceries and have them delivered or shop for food but buy enough for 2 weeks. If you can do laundry once a week. Go thru your email and cancel online newsletter,cancel magazine subscriptions that way you won't be tempted to take time out to read them. Could you cut back on household chores? Buy paper plates rather than using ones you have to wash. Program your phone so that only people you absolutely need to talk with can get thru to you and have anyone else go directly to voice mail.
    You might consider cutting back on going out with friends.
    Not getting enough sleep will catch up with you. So if you are trying to decide whether to do something ask your self if I don't get this done today is anyone going to die? If the answer is no then don't bother doing it. Sorry if that sounds harsh.
    😳😳😳 Please Please Don't Drive if you are only getting 3 hours of sleep.

    Make sure you keep eating well, getting a bit of exercise in (perhaps a walk, or something else you enjoy, to clear your head, and make sure you get a good night's sleep and that you also make time for some rest and social interactions. Don't beat yourself up if you fall off track, because tomorrow is a new day :) and prioritize and perhaps delegate and/or ask for help :)
