I like the idea of a tall and shorter bookcase next to each other. You could put art above the shorter one. I think the 2 1/2 book cases would look good. It is your space, so do what you like. You have great taste.

I’m a homebody person too I have feelings of not wanting to go out and socialize. You’re absolutely right about how your whole life has changed, you in a completely different season and just as seasons change so does the way you have to adjust to be comfortable in that season. I love your content and all your videos I think if you just wanted to sit for a half hour and just paint and talk you would have the same amount of views. If I was a creater and someone complained about how I did a video (by the way I’m NOT saying anyone is saying this) then complained about it, I would answer back I’m not forcing anyone to watch or stay subscribed, my point is no one on any platform should have to create content that they don’t enjoy just to stay on that platforms good graces. That’s why Rachel you have so many people including me saying whatever you want to make a video on we are here to consume it. We love you ❤
I love being at home, too. I never realized how much until Covid. I rarely eat out. I am going to visit a girlfriend tomorrow several states away. I am hoping she is not too anxious to go out and about. Staying home is heavenly for me.

I've lived in NYC a long, long time, and about 10 years ago I realized that I wasn't making the most of living here (and I was paying a lot of money to live here) so I started a habit of making a list at the beginning of the year (and adding to it throughout the year) of places I wanted to go in the city, things I wanted to do. Sometimes new things (new to me or new to NYC), sometimes things I haven't done since I was a kid. It's not usually restaurants (and never bars), and often these things only cost subway fare and maybe a coffee or something, so it doesn't mean spending too much money. You could think about doing something like that, whether you use it for content or not (although I confess I love DC so would love to see you exploring), In any event, I've been enjoying your content since you moved to the US so I'll still be watching whatever you want to share with us.
There are plastic strips you can put on the wall as chair rails to prevent your desk chair from doing serious damage in the long run. It might not be slightly but in the long run you might forget it is there. You can also paint it the color of the wall or do something with it to make it look pretty.
Your fine, I moved a year ago from Florida,where I’ve lived all my life, moved to Ohio. I’m the same I love being home, I can find things to do, I also love decorating and exploring new ideas, then implementing them. I do go out for an hour or two almost daily, mostly thrifting. Then home again. So I think whatever makes you happy and comfortable, do it. Perhaps in the future something will change in you, but for now be happy🌻🌻

Hi Rachell, you wanted our opinion on the bookshelves, the big gap you leave might not make you happy in the long run. Full wall bookshelves will be better. Since you want to get rid of the TV console, it will give you more room to move around. If you need something under the TV, you may want to consider a wall mounted console they may have different widths to suit your needs. You may also consider shelves with doors since you might want to relocate the position of your couch after you see the current position might not work for you.
I’m always at home too. I’ve had years of partying and eating out. It’s not my life at 36 years old. Do i want to balance it a little? Yes. I wish i could travel again.
I'll probably be in the minority with this opinion but I just feel like adding bookcases will make it look smaller and cluttered. Enjoying watching you figure it all out though! 🙂
I totally get not wanting to go out and spending a ton of money. I love good walking trails and nature. Perhaps free activities like that is more satisfying. Have you considered filming a girl's night in with crafts, food and wine? People love body doubling for cleaning but it works for crafts, reading, sewing, cooking and baking.
I'm a hyper- vigilant person so when I saw you say you're going for a walk and you looked so pretty and you're blonde, I thought omg, don't get kidnapped. Don't stop and give directions. If you hear someone say "psst...." Just run 21-feet then look, or just don't look. I'm not scared in Toronto, the states scared me. You know the 21-foot rule for cops? That's the distance we need. I have a neighbour that wears a wig to cover her blonde hair, that might be too much. I've been watching the Menendez Brothers story too...has me all freaked out: abuse....then I think kidnapping abuse ... whenever I walk in a park I'm scared in Toronto, in the streets I'm okay, but in the parks I don't wear headphones 🎧 I listen around me and I check behind me, if someone is within 10 feet, I start jogging and put a safe distance. I don't care if it's offensive, better safe than sorry. I was walking in a park last year though, I forgot the name, it's a beautiful park like a story book park, and there were several shots....then a pause, then more shots. I think people are bored, want some excitement....so this is their hobby. When you walk on the streets, people can get you into their car more easily. My brother doesn't like that i worry so much. Thats why i got a rowing machine, so i don't go for walks anymore, but i love the sun. I sit outside of the mall on sunny days and let myself bake and the sun activates our cells they say.
But I don’t do anything else. 😭 this is the problem I talk about at the end of the video. I just stay at home and clean, organise and paint. I love my boring life
