How to use a curl sponge on short hair / natural hair update / big chop #3

In this video I show you guys a quick tutorial in how to use the curl sponge to achieve natural curls. My first few attempts using the curl sponge were unsuccessful but Im getting the hang of it now that my hair is longer. Also I give you guys an update on my natural hair since Ive done my 3rd and final big chop. Comment below and other natural hair videos you would like to see.

Oooh i like. My natural hair colour is exactly like yours. People always think i tint my hair lol. Did the big chop yesterday after three months of transitioning. Had long long thick hair but years of toych ups and split ends left it severely damaged and over processed. Could have waited three more months but i couldn't wait to get the ball rolling. I’m wondering if you can do this without washing your hair before? Maybe spray with water, apply the gel and then use the sponge? Will it get to the same result?

Hello, I just watch ur video I did the big chop maybe about a month now not sure I’m having problems with my curls I have the sponge I tried it with the Mielle coil custard it’s not giving me want I want do you think I need to Strip my hair cause it’s still straight I want to give up help

if you find that your natural hair texture is straight then this sponge method wont really work for you. Depending on the length of your hair I would sugguest doing rod curls if you are looking to acheive a curly look

Am i either sponging the wrong direction or is it too long because I don't get actual curls I get it coiled too tight in some places

if you are swirling and finding that its not curling I would change directions using the same motion. See if that helps. How long is your hair? This method definitely doesn't work on all hair lengths
