What happened at 1971 was genocide. Approximately 30 lac people was murdered & 2 lac women and children were raped at freedom fight. And Pakistan didin't asked for forgiveness. U need to realize that India played badly in 2019 Standoff. They could have done far better as Pakistan was not in a position to go to war. No General will ever say anything other than India's Poor Handling of the Standoff Against Pakistan.

I feel sad for them as well but the Muhajirs in general & the Biharis in particular need to understand that they cannot impose thier language supremacy on the majority populations who gave them refuge in 1947. I think they must learn a lesson from 1971 now otherwise it can lead to same consequences.

This liberation was Boon for Bangladesh . 2day its rising very fast . Its growth is 5-6% . Its much much ahead in every sector when compared to Pakistan.
If sidhis r intelligent they wud also have done away with the main Centre of disease of this whole region and that is PAKISTANI punjab. The day sindh will liberated , sindh economy will boom like bangladesh and can turn into a South Korea. Sindh which has peaceful Entrepreneurial race like Gujaratis of india , it has Karachi port , it has massive cotton belt which was once producing top quality cotton and probably cotton cultivation started from here.
But with a Wealth sucking feudal martial mindset Punjabis u will never able to develop.

Shehzad Bhai can you make a detailed and brief biography of around an hour or more of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan aka Bacha Khan. He is one of the genuine freedom fighter this country ever had and an honest politician and a complete moral leader.
I started reading the book written about him but then so much else was happening will first read then make the video
Bacha khan was also known as frontier Gandhi because of his closeness to Gandhi. He fought for our independence and was against formation of Pakistan. Somehow he knew about Pakistani Muslim military attitude and told congress leaders that they have thrown us to the wolves. He was not a rebel but his fears did come true, sadly. Pakistanis are not told about so many freedom fighters but that’s because they are appointed by British/Americans, raised on their funds, devouring citizens of any resources.

To understand what led to Bangladesh and other secessionist movements in Pakistan you have to read the 1940 Lahore resolution for formation of Pakistan which described Pakistan as "the areas in which the Muslims are numerically in a majority as in the North Western and Eastern Zones of (British) India should be grouped to constitute ‘independent states’ in which the constituent units should be autonomous and sovereign."
This describes Pakistan as a federation of autonomous states and not one nation state.
It was not the common man in East Pakistan but the intellectuals particularly the economists who were responsible for demand of greater autonomy to East Pakistan.
A Harvard educated Bengali economist had predicted the breakup of Pakistan to Gen Ayub Khan in 1960.
These facts are missing from the popular narrative wrt 1971 both in India and Pakistan.
The economist that you mention is Anisur Rahman. He and some fellow economists from East Pakistan advocated redistribution of resources from West to East Pakistan. When this was turned down in spite of being completely logical he is quoted to have said "West Pakistanis would rather hand over real political power to the Chinese than give it to the Bengalis"

That Pakistan today is wailing over cessation of Bangladesh is not just insensible but total lack of understanding how nation states function. I'm from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I've heard 1971 incident from my grandparents. From 1947, we were being treated in an unwanted manner by west Pakistan. Bengalis were 56% by overall population of Pakistan then. But Pakistani leaders never recognised Bengali language. They never accepted our culture. 70% of the export products were from Bengal, but 75% of the budget was used to build west Pakistan. A lot of incidents had happened. Then came 1970 election. Sheikh Mujib won the election but west Pakistan didn’t handover the power. Rather started genocide on 25th march, 1971. Over 3 millions of Bengalis died in that 9 months of war. More than 2 lacs of women had been raped. My grandfather always cried whenever he talked about 1971. Pakistan owe a national apology to my beloved Bangladesh. We know what a nightmare it was for us.
