Cavatina from The Deer Hunter written by Stanley Myers, transcribed for a solo guitar by John Williams.
It was first appeared in a film ‘Walking Stick’ in 1970, but became popular in 1978 played in the film ‘The Deer Hunter’, starring Robert de Niro.
This version is arranged after John Williams’ arrangement with much less barré, using many open strings in order to make it easier for many of those who want to enjoy playing this beautiful piece without too much restrain on the left hand.
Thanks for Emilia for the inspiration and hope this arrangement helps to make this piece even more popular for many guitar lovers!
