Ben Skinner! Still got it mate, and still competing. I remember at a comp in Portugal, I got pulled up by the officials on the beach after my opens heat for a drug test, I said, I can’t do it because I have a seniors heat on in 30 minutes. I was competing in 2 divisions. The official’s said ok, don’t go anywhere, compete the seniors and then we’ll drug test you. I spent the night before smoking joints with an Austrian chick and thought Im done and will be disqualified and maybe a mark on my name. So in between heats I saw Ben and he said drink tonnes of water to bring your acidity down (he knew what he was talking about 😆) and it can’t be measured accurately, so I sat in the corner of the tent as Ben brought me litres of water to drink. I drank so much I felt pregnant and rolled around on my board next heat and couldn’t perform. But it worked a treat, officials picked me up after the heat and the story got funnier during the process, as they offered me more water to help me piss when I was already busting at the time, but I took it to not look suss, they followed me to the toilets in the hotel across the road from the comp. I turned on the tap and forced it off when I thought there was enough in the cup and grimacing at the time, legs crossed as I walked out. Test results came back straight away with low acidity, so they said they have to test again, as I was reluctantly sipping on more water while busting to pee. They said, we’ll have to test again, would you like more water to help you pee?, I said sure haha, after 3 tests they have to let you go. So three tests later of peeing basically pure water, no results found and free to go. Thank you Ben Skinner.
