BOATS Arrive In DayZ Experimental Update 1.26 - Showcase & Look Into The Server Mission Files Code

- DayZ just dropped an update to the Xbox & PC experimental servers which included the long-awaited addition of boats, so in this video we take a look at these out-board powered Rubber Dinghies & try to answer some of the most important questions!
I look at how you get the boats working, (with a spark-plug & fuel), is there any inventory storage space (no, not at the moment), can you sink them (no, but you can ruin the engine) can you stand up in them (only when stopped) can you fish from them (not at the moment) & can you just drop stuff like barrels inside the boat to move it (no, items just fall out of the boat).
I also show you the different colour variations of the boats and discuss where they spawn, then we look at the types.xml, spawnabletypes.xml, events.xml and cfgeventspawns.xml Community Server Mission files for PC & Xbox (& PlayStation when the patch goes public).

People keep bringing up the differences for modded boats, but this literally creates a base for modded boats going forward
People beat off unprofessional mods the devs gave the tools to make in the first place. They also seem to forget this game is on consoles too.
Boats are honestly fire all the islands around Chernarus are actually usable now😂 opens the door to lots of stuff.

been playing a lot of reforger on console, now all I can think is day z helicopter hopefully coming some day. it's all I want to do pick up the sick and wounded and drop off the boys

Could you please make a video showing the inventory sizes changes of the bags/pants/jackets, comparing them with the 1.25. Some of them got larger but mostly got smaller.

great work on keeping us updated the only thing I'm getting confused with is what was the vodka bottle called before as I can currently use it but have never looked for it in the types so I added the new [glassbottle] but then fort well maybe I should delete old [vodka bottle] but could not find anything even tried [glass bottle] with a space but still couldn't find it. is this because there was no type for it maybe?
New bottle name coming in 1.26 is type name="GlassBottle" old was type name="Vodka". Both could still work, we'll have to see.
@@ScalespeederGaming Yep I still can't find that old type tho I even looked in a fresh unedited types.xml but it is not there either. thank you for the reply and don't worry too much about it as I know it won't affect anything. I was just wondering why it is not there
Ive been banging on for boats in Reforger for months, all that water and we didn't have a vanilla water vehicle 😮
The Enfusion Devs helped with this, so I would have thought boats will be coming to Reforger soon.

Waterworld servers coming soon watch. Cherno mainland completely gassed w no/rare NBC, all coastline spawns with hella boats & custom islands/ platforms all over the ocean.
I wouldnt doubt it. Boats been mod for a while but when console servers get ahold of something they get cray with it.
Thoes boat spawns is that the upper or way lower coast line
Do you know server side wise, if we'll ever be able to increase the water level of the ocean server setting wise?
I doubt that, but you can use PC DayZ Editor Mod to add water to the map.
for PC only add water to pc or PC to add to console water? If you get what I mean by that

On PC in the modded world they have inventory, some of them even need motor oil to work .

The engine stops, but at the moment the boat still floats. I'll bet they're working on a "sinking" system as we speak.

On the coast. Be worth finding a spark-plug and a can of fuel first.
@@vxkclay They are the best way of travel and although you can't shoot unless stationary, it would take a decent sniper to take you out on one. They are quick and no where near as noisy as cars etc coming towards you.

Damn, do they work as well is the mod? The modded ones let yo stand and shoot without the boat just killing you
You fall out if the boat is moving at the mo.

Positives - no water clipping through like the mod ones
Negatives - you can't put stuff in it, you can't stand up without it literally throwing you to the sea bottom, no cargo space.
