Thanks so much for watching! Don’t forget to like and subscribe!❤
You should do a video about romanian habits vs american habits. For exemple, when I visit a Romanian house, I always took my shoes off. American dont have this habit...I am Romanian! :)
@@ursdaniel good idea!
@@THECALDERONFAM I know!:)
Rum-flavored sweets (ROM chocolate, Eugenia, biscuits salami (salam de biscuiti), various cakes (prajituri), etc.) are such a romanian thing, and most of the foreigners don't like these kind of sweets because of the flavor. But we, Romanians, grew up with them and we love them (not all of us, but a large majority, I'd say).
And yes, the "pufuleti" are addictive. :) For such a flavorless snack (the standard ones) it's strangely addictive. :) I don't think I know a single romanian that doesn't like them ... I'm sure that there is at leat one hinding somewhere, but I didn't found him until now :)
I was surprised when we first moved here that the kids liked the rum flavoring too! Definitely something you had to grow up with!
@@THECALDERONFAM we have some pufuleti here in Timisoara that have a little hedgehog on them, I talked with one of my friends from another city and she said she doesnt know them. If you guys see it in the supermarket you should buy it, they're crunchy and salty and just the best and they dont have that "plastic bag" smell and taste.
@@polarisation those sound good! I will look for the hedgehog!
@@THECALDERONFAM Yes 0:06
Nuga and alviță, were the best sweets of my childhood and drink bragă which you can find only in Romania.
I will look for those!
@@THECALDERONFAM i am sorry to dissapoint you but i really don't think you'll find those... maybe nuga... but the others 2 kinda disappeared after the communist era. Even I as a teenager I didn't ever had bragă or alviță. Also from what I know from my grandpa that tasted the drink, is that is was more widespread and commonly found in the southern Romania, and not really that appreciated in Bucovina where I live.
My favourite are pomber, magura with cocoa, 7 days corns all, but esp the chocolate and champagne one(this is gold), nuga with peanuts, rom , africana with peanuts, pufuleti, croco covrigei, magic corn..
Ps: guys sweets are sweets for a resason, that corn and kinder is amazing i find it verry good. I dont underst why you dont like it, maybe you dont eat sweets sweet maybe more fade, but thats ok, but those corns i could eat 5 are so so.good
The Viva ‘Pillows’(Pernutele Viva) are missing from the party. With some milk they are a childhood staple for every Ro kid
I will look for them!
asside of corn puffs, turta dulce, nutline and eugenia nothing else was really Romanian traditional and the Covridog from Petru which is awesome
The kids are amazing!!!
Rom chocolate is the best thing ever. When I don't know what to eat I just take one of those. Once when I was like 10 years old, I went with my parents in the mountains and when we got to our destination, a cottage I asked for Rom. Yet, I didn't say "chocolate" too and the guy who worked there was starting to put rum in a glass. My father came in and said that im 10 and to give me chocolate. It was really funny. Anyways, I don't think I know a single person who doesn't like Rom chocolate.
Love that story! Yeah we are definitely the minority!
Semințele are even more addicting than pufuleții :))) especially if they're salted. Also "shampion" is my favourite brand, they have a football player on the bag (if that makes em easier to recognise)
I will look for that!
The last croissant, the one with chocolate cream, the only one you didn't taste, was actually the tastiest of them all. 😂
😂😂 and of course that’s the one we didn’t try! We will have to try it next time!
also the food here in Romania is very mixed, you can have the same product from 2 different producers and one tasting much better,ESPECIALLY PATEU
My favourite is "turtă dulce" or " napolitane" which are basically wafers ,,if you find a good brand they're delicious, its been a while since i had some romanians sweets but those 2 was my joy in my childhood, anyway I enjoyed watching your reactions ☺️ ❤
We lie turta dulce but I don’t think we’ve tried the other! We will look for it!
Try the prajituri, like ecler, amandina, savarina, choux alla creme
I like that idea!!
Just buy the mini ones from a good cofetarie 😀
Thank you for making this video because I am a Romanin
Măgura mini cake 😋
I almost got one of those at the store!
Great video! Love you guys. You should also rate the Romanian prajituri. See you soon
Good idea!
I'm form Romania and and the bake rolls are very very popular in Romania an milk burger too
White seeds are the best, but here is the secret. You have to cook it yourself, what you buy from store is usually old and racid(sometimes you might get lucky and get fresh ones)... When you just cook it (the right way ) are awesome ....
That sounds good!
I like that vlog, super cool family, thank you for the vlog!😋😊😘
Thank you ❤️
don't you guys like strudel cu mere or merdenele cu branza? As for the prezels the ones with salt or poppy seeds (cu sare sau mac) I think are better than the caraway one (chimen).
I should have gotten some of those! And I definitely would’ve preferred pretzels with poppy seeds!
Eugenia from these days is not the same Eugenia from 2000 🥺
Really?! That’s interesting!
Funny thing (true though): whenever we have those croissants for breakfast, and no matter what they’re filled with, we always spread Nutella on top!
My girls would love that!
I like Croissant bavarez from Lidl, biscuits Biskrem Intense, from Auchan. In Auchan, in the fresh food area, there are Pananasi, and Rice with milk and cinnamon. The Rice and milk and chocolate from Muller is good also.
Those sound good to try!
Try Africana chocolate and Madelines like a brioche
i eat at work, some days 2 bags of pufuleti, nutela with breed, eugenia, and i like bake rolls, but no teath to eat,i loved swits from child period! :)
napolitane with lemon taste,mentosane,fruti fresh
Our girls love bread with Nutella!
poiana with milk,chocolate
no rum,i promise that!
Poiana is a Romanian chocolate brand owned by Mondelēz International. The brand originates from a chocolate company that was based in Brașov.
My favourite pufuleti is with powdered milk. you should try it
I’ve heard those are good!
Guys, you're great! There are a lot of snacks. So many brands. If you want "gingerbread", you should try private label brands. I would recommend that when you'll go on vacation, you visit Covasna County, stay at boyar mansions, or palaces, or visit Harghita County. Here in these areas, the tourism industry is very developed and you will also eat gingerbread made by Szekler manufacturers, whose tradition of making gingerbread dates back centuries. It's worth visiting! A wonderful day! The truth is that most of the snacks you have presented are not the most representative. Plus they're cheap. Quality snacks are really better but also more expensive.
Thank you for the suggestions! It sounds like an amazing place!
@@THECALDERONFAM 🤗😘💯👌🌹🍀
Covrigi (de la covrigarie nu la punga), pateuri cu branza, poale in brau, placinta cu varza, langosi cu branza, saratele, burek, gogosi, kurtos kolaci cam astea imi lipsesc mie in US.
acum mi-e foame!
that bear "PATEU" you need to try with onions and a little bit of salt on the onion it's mutch better :))
Hi, I'm from Romania and I'm watching your videos and I'd like to see a reaction to fast food in Romania 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴
Good idea!!
What places would you recommend we try?
@@THECALDERONFAM vasi recommends mc Donald's and KFS❤
and if you want you can also try spartan fast food
You must have overlooked the "dots" chocolate bar, filled with cream cheese or quark. :D The Hungarian import from "Pilos" with cream cheese and fruit gem is even better. I think you can find them in Lidl. You should serve them cold, but not frozen.;)
The barni bear has the lookings of a bear but they put in the box inverted
Good to know!
i tried to explain to an english guy about pufuleti gusto . was hard ... he couldn't understood. :))) I love it, all my family as well :)))
Ear Pufuleti with Jogurt or with anny souer milk. The best off
I will have to try that!
🤣Those milk burgers are beloved by all the children in kindergarden
Do we agree that the best snack its gotta be Lays Chips!
My girls would definitely agree with you!
I am really enjoying your videos and your honest comments! How about trying romanian wines, only?! Romania has been known for a plethora of vineyards since the beginning of time: "Tohani" (owned by the Romanian Royal family- prince Nicholas/2nd son of king Ferdinand I), "Cotnari", "Murfatlar", just to mention a few. So, what are you waiting for?? Bottoms up!!! Cheers, folks!!!
That would be a good one! Pablo would enjoy it, but I unfortunately don’t like wine 😢
@@THECALDERONFAM They do have girlish sweet and semi-sweet wines, as well! Try it! It won't hurt! I do recommend one just for you, then: "Busuioaca de Bohotin- from TOHANI winery, ONLY!!! It is liquorish-rose-sweet! It is to die for! TRUST ME!! And for Pablo: "Feteasca Neagra" by Tohani winery! Enjoy!
@@chrismac3696 ooo that actually does sound good!
You should try the Tony jr cheese with covrigi or stickletti.
Ooo that sounds good!
🤓👍💙❤️💛🧡💜💚
Guys, you’re missing some of the most popular local sweet snacks: turta dulce, halvita cu nuci, and halva.
Those are all delicious!
That hot dog in some places put kess/cașcaval inside.
👏❤️🙏
hey guys! you we're holding poor Barni upside down :D
😂😂oops!
Wowed me that you didnt like the 7 Days one. Well maybe it was too sweet_
Yeah, I guess I’m not a fan of the not fresh croissant part.
If you really want some good quality chips look out for Csiki-Sor brand. Way better than average chips. Less chemicals
I will look for those!
🤣
part 2!
Pufuleti…no 1 !!!
💯
I AM ROMANIAN
The barni was upside down
Yeah, someone else told us that 😂 oops!
poor barni.....he was upside down..
Oops!
The thing is that for me in România things aren't sweet enought
Interesting!
In the US is Kinder??
Yes, they have some products.
Sunt româncă am 11 ani și știu istorie
Chocolate ROM and Eugenia are snacks for communist times. Back in the day as kids we loved if someone would give us a Eugenia. The ROM Chocolate was even more special than Eugenia
mushroom pringles?
Yes! They were so good!
Mai sunt dulciuri pe acolo care sunt din romania-there are sweets there that are from romania
Yep!
Nimănui nu-i place chimenul, nici măcar nu înțeleg de ce se mai vinde prostia aia?!
You are Romanian?
No, we are Americans living in Romania
@@THECALDERONFAM Thx,You are veryyyyyy cuteeeee and your family...😍😘
Doritos dinamita not Romanian
Never tried Doritos dinamita!
So much arrogance in a little taste test... 😅 ew
