    "du må godt" is a catch phrase from spangsberg that basically means "you are allowed to" in a direct translation.
    as in its okay to give into your "temptation" for candies.
    i guess the closest equivalent would be something like "you know you want to" although it doesn't mean the same. but its like jokes, hard to translate.

    YOOOO A DANiSH HERE
    Here is the full translations of everything danish in the video :D (feel free to point out something i missed or any spelling mistakes :P)
    0:28 "Tak" is translated to thanks
    0:31 "Tak skal du have" Is translated to "Thank you very much" or "Thanks a lot" (a more formal way to say thanks)
    0:52 "Skum med vaniljesmag med lys og mørk chokolade" means "Foam with vanilla taste with milk and dark chocolate"
    1:35 "3 Kæmpe skildpadder" Which means "3 giant turtles"
    2:02 "Chokolade med romcreme og karamel" This one is "Chocolate with Rum cream and caramel"
    3:06 "Kims Kannonkugler" translates to "Kims cannonballs"
    3:11 "Cheddarost" is just "Cheddar"
    3:54 "Kims Ostepops" Translates to "Kims Cheesepops"
    5:23 "Toms Mimoser" Mimoser ain't danish so can't help you there :P
    5:27 "Ristet hasselnød med nougat og mørk chokolade" means "Roasted hazelnut with nougat and dark chocolate"
    5:32 "Toms kringeler" ---> "Toms pretzels" (yall asked if this was "Fancy chocolates" i won't say yes because it isn't... but it ain't cheap either)
    6:57 "Nougat Snitter" means "Nougat slices"
    7:00 "Spangberg klassikere" translates to "Spansberg classics"
    7:03 "Spangsberg ønsker glædelig jul med en rigtig juleklassiker" ---> "Spangsberg wishes a merry christmas with a real christmas classic"
    7:07 "Du må godt!" is actually the catchphrase of the brand. it correctly translates to "You are allowed!" (Meaning you're allowed to eat the candy)
    8:29 "Snebolde" -----> "Snowballs"
    9:46 "Pingvin blanding" means "Penguin mixture"
    9:50 "Vingummi og lækre stænger" ---> "gummies and yummy rods"
    10:55 "Guld barre mælkechokolade" translates to "Goldbar milkchokolade"
    11:09 "Åbn her" wasn't said in the video but this is how it would have been spelled on the packeging
    11:45 "Nougat marzipan bar" I am not translating this one for you, it's practically already english
    12:59 "Tak skal du have" again it's a formal way to say thanks
    God that took so long O-O

      Technically they are tortoises in their look and name, as both turtle and tortoises be called "Skildpadder" in danish, but it your talking about those that live in the sea you put the word "hav" before it. Meaning Sea Turtle. But these are actually made after some leather back turtles washed ashore in the 1940's, so it wouldn't be wrong to called them turtles either.

    I love hearing people trying to talk our language, mostly because there pronounce most words incorrectly. but fortunately almost all Danes can speak fluent English. we learn English at a very young age, so even teens (like myself) can speak it as if it were our first language. when we get a little older we can choose between learning German and French, so some of us can speak that too. so if you ever come to visit, we would be happy to help you around. Just ask. kind regards from a random Dane, hehehe.

      @@saradavidsen1502 most People I have met speak English fluently, some of them even speak with the American accent. However I would admit that some speaks poor English but that is more because of the Danish accent than anything else. I have also noticed that the older generation speaks worse than the new ones. it's probably because us the new generation has grown up with English words everywhere. for example, when I was a little younger around 8-10 years old, I saw a lot of English entertainment, English RUclipsrs, English movies, etc. it could also have something to do with where in the country you are from. we do have different accents in different parts of the country.

    • @Littlevampiregirl100
      @Littlevampiregirl100 2 года назад

      @@sussanna1077 this isnt entirely true from my experience. me and my best friend regularly speak english when we visit each other even though we are both danes and live in denmark, because we are used to typing english online to each other. swapping danish words with english is also becoming more common in general. some danes learn more english than danish the more time we spend online, and might forget the danish equivalents while chatting, so we prefer to use english instead to get a point across quicker. even my old mom is starting to use english more frequently for swearing, and might also say full lines in broken english because it has a better emphasis than the danish equivalent. so i dont agree that we dont speak english here. there are other countries that are much more unaccustomed to using english for anything at all, even when they need to, and we do it just because we like to

    Anthon Berg is the Rolls Royce of Danish chocolate. It's the brand you buy, if you want to give away a very nice box of chocolate.
    But I've never been a fan of those marzipan bars. They are also pretty cheap, compared to what they usually make.
