I was surprised when Arsenal bought him. Especially since the price was 65 millions. But, I remember him being one of the biggest talents as a 20 year old and if he could improve Odegaard, then why not Havertz.

Havertz slots so well into this Arsenal machine. Arteta needs a lot of credit. His decisions on both Havertz and Raya are proving to be right. Even when the masses thought he was mad.
Havertz gives Arsenal unpredictability.
If you have an out and out striker, like Harland, you know, other players will try to feed him, so defenders know what to do, isolate him
Havertz on the other hand ... does not guarantee to go for a goal, when you give him the ball.
This makes it hard for defenders to predict whats gonna come
He also is a pressing machine, one of if not the best in the league.. a 6ft4 striker blocking passing lanes , big part of why arsenal are so good defensively

Most of us were judging Havertz based on his Chelsea performance and ignoring the fact that he didn't start his career at Chelsea, those who cared to watch the Bayer Leverkusen Havertz would have been able to see a talented player who probably was a misfit at Chelsea coz of the system which didn't match his style of play.
He s still a mid player at best we replaced him with palmer a baller that has topped his g/a shows the difference between a mid to an elite player

People forget that Havertz is still only 24. He was sensational at Leverkusen when he first came on the scene and although his form dipped significantly when he moved to Chelsea he still always showed glimpses of the quality that he has. I dont think he was helped by the chaos surrounding Chelsea the last few seasons and now coming into a settled Arsenal team surrounded by quality players hes beginning to thrive.

One of Kai main qualities is his movement! Against Brighton he terrorised their two defenders. He kept pushing them nudging them, stepping on their toes, using his elbow on their chest. He irritated them! He’s been a revelation for Us!! And his work rate is phenomenal
There are a lot of fans who are failing to talk about Havertz actually being good and that he just needed time, respect Saeed for coming out and giving him credit, I think he has always been a good player from Leverkusen times just that his confidence at Chelsea hit a all time low! You weren't the only one. Most Arsenal fans thought the same. Arteta has proven that he is a brilliant coach with great talent ID so we shouldn't be questioning his eye for a footballer.
There is too much emphasis on aesthetics from football fans when rating players. There is much more love for so called "ballers". Although, he looks a bit awkward on the ball, Havertz is at his best off the ball, drifting into space, competing in duals and causing headaches for defenders. He is a very intelligent, versatile and effective footballer

Everything good at our club over the last 4 years has started with Arteta. I had no idea he would be such a good manager. However, even I thought Chelsea done us with Kai Havertz. My son is a Chels supporter and was laughing at me last summer and autumn over it. Im guilty of listening to all the negativity and feeding into it. My apologies to Kai Havertz.

Many of the Gooner nation planted their flags deep into the heartland of the consensus that proclaimed the club's heiracy were wrong in every aspect to have entrusted both Arteta and Edu with the reins of the club and subsequently these egotistical, narcissistic morons have been the cheerleaders of dissent against pretty much every action the manager has made regards our recruitment, hence the likes of White, Ramsdale, Odegaard, Jesus and Havertz were all automatically deemed the wrong move and proof of the Spaniard and Brazilian's incompetence and inability to do the job.
As you highlight, there's nothing wrong with having an opinion and it getting proven wrong, but the vast majority of those fans don't have the decency of character to be able to handle that and would rather the club weren't where it is right now so that their calls for Arteta to have been sacked were entirely justified and credible, hence the caveat they've imposed that we now have to win a trophy this year or they were right and he should be shown the door.

Saeed, in my opinion you and other fans of other teams doesn’t have to apologize for anything because the negative agenda against Kai Havertz was started by AFTV. For us Arsenal fans who actually know ball we knew immidiately why we bought him (and yes I got the receipts) and we also know that the agenda against will be back in full bloom if we miss out on any trophy this season, it is what it is. I’m just happy he shuts AFTV up week after week now (don’t get me wrong, not a hater, I watch AFTV and all Arsenal content on youtube and enjoy most of it). But if Havertz is on the bench tonight and IF we lose 5-0 against Bayern the fan-cam reactions will be ”why did we pay 65m on a player if we don’t trust him to start in these types of games?!
