The sequels we're actually good. I loved them as a kid. Not sure if that was appropriate content for me to love at that age, but hey......I turned out great!! They used to show the sequela on local TV quite often, especially after Perkins passed away. I saw the original when I was ten, and I loved the film. Watched the sequels again and still enjoyed them. Looking back ...they have some great moments....it must have been hard to deliver a sequel to the film that practically invented a genre, and they were not bad. Hokey a bit, but still enjoyable
Sorry the original Psycho didn't invent a genre. The 1955 film Diabolique was one of the first thrillers but even if it wasn't for that Hitchcock had already made other thrillers like The Birds or Vertigo. Psycho is the most influential , that for sure.
Yeah I like it a lot. First saw it in the summer of '83, my favorite year for movies. And yes, Meg was a looker back then. A couple of months later she was in The Big Chill 👍
@@NoirsVintageCollection the only reason it's praised is because it's one of the if not the first horror movie to feature many back then still taboos and no goes, other than that the Psycho movies are indeed horribly overrated with such bad acting!
@sandiego2380 what's tragic is that people today especially you fail to put themselves in the shoes of someone watching the film in 1960 and being able to appreciate it's impact and how great it was back then, and don't talk to me about bad acting with some of the actors and actresses you get on the silver screen. today...
I couldn't stop laughing when Norman took the phone back and resumed his conversation with "Mother"

Take a shot, every time Norman says Mother 🥃
@@dora1980 The Birds came after Psycho, but yes there were movies like Vertigo and Dial M for Murder.
The sequel ruined the storyline to the original movie.
Anthony Perkins, a great comedic talent.
take a shot of whiskey every time you hear the word, "Mother".
That final shovel shot had me lol
Post script.....loved that ending to your clip hahaha. That shocked the hell outta me when I saw it after trick or treating
Thanks, Fletch! A little silly of course but I like repetition 😄

4:13 Norman expression on his face
The 2nd time Norman killed the woman he thought was his mother. The 1st time he did this killing he was 12 years old!
Only in this movie do they say he was 12. In the novel and Psycho 4 he was 16.
Outstanding video 😊,the end was fantastic.
Norman will always have his mother😂
She bows her head as if expecting the blow 😂
Omg, I don't remember that Ending scene. Poor lady😢
Well, a boy's best friend is his mother.
She's the only one who truly loves him!
Mother
