Photo brings back memories. Thorpe’s Record Bar is where I bought my first record (Blockbuster by The Sweet, 1973) and the Lloyds Banks is where I opened my first bank account (aged 7) in 1969. My brother in law worked in Gaydons for a while as a part-time assistant.
I have a blog post about Gaydons, but it's just a couple of ads. Looks like they had a couple of shops in Streatham as well. mitchamhistorynotes.com/2017/01/11/gaydons/
I used Thorpe's Record Bar many times. My first record bought was Fleetwood Mac Albatros.
