All of this is so true. Queen of tears being a rip off of all good old kdramas and still is considered the best drama of all time, people should reevaluate their taste and liking.

U can clearly see that she manages to steal the spotlight in many scenes whether it's due to her sadness cuteness or comedic one's.. She has different voices depending on her age. Not sure u noticed that bit 19 year old and 34 year old Imsol have different voices. Her cute scenes r incredible. Just look at 1st episode itself.. Yes her sunjaeya is iconic but her acting is not just angry sad sunjaeya scenes and it was very diverse.

Lovely runner has really got a unique story , not having repitative story. It's a masterpiece to me❤ TWINKLING WATERMELON, LOVELY RUNNER and A TIME CALLED YOU are the best time slip dramas I have ever seen and infact the best dramas tbh
Many shows earn popularity because of the cast no body these days cares about quality as long as their favourite actor or actress is acting in a show then it's a masterpiece......but I have to agree all the good shows these days are underrated. I find it hard ro watch over hyped shows these days because i fear it might be just another average show smeared with lots of hype and praises.... The formula these days is simple..get a mediocre script and cast it to famous actors and actresses make it a rom com which many kdrama fans crave for apparently and then it will be a master piece sadly

It's obvious that you can't please everyone. For me, Hy did an amazing job portraying Im Sol in my opinion. Anyone claiming she only has one expression or that her acting is bad is probably not seeing clearly.🤷♀️
This character was made for her. She hit every note perfectly. She brought tears to my eyes every episode - tears of laughter, tears of sadness, tears of happiness.
In my opinion, it's not that serious... Everyone has different tastes and opinions, and it's ok. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's automatically bad. I love most of the dramas mentioned here, but you may hate them, and that's ok..its just the way the world works. Your tastes and opinions are not superior nor inferior to that of others. At the end of the day, it's just a drama, and there is no need to take it too seriously (until there is something absolutely wrong or offensive about it ofc) let people enjoy what they want 🤷🏻♀️
Personaly : - "My demon" was watchable but its not a show i'd pick if someone asked me for recommandation. - I couldn't even forced myself to watch the entire first episode of "queen of tears" same for "welcome to salmdari" - Although I really enjoyed "Lovely Runner". I do agree with some the criticism made toward it. KHY's acting was pretty good overall but her shocked expressions were so forced and unatural.
I can actually agree with anything you say in this video but not with lovely runner. Like seriously they have no chemistry are you kidding me. They are one of the couple who has very good chemistry which will remembered for years. And kim Hyeyoon acting is so good like are we watching the same drama. She showed so many emotions no female lead would have shown in any of the kdrama.
Nothing was said about the chemistry, just acting , writers decisions about the plot and the toilet scene. Kinda sad that not everyone likes hye yoon acting, she's basically one of the top there she's very versatile.

Queens of tears was just what is wrong with fl. She is supposed to be a badass but got fooled by the villain at every step and didn't treat her husband right for 3 years yet she went after him for marriage.
I'm a huge fan of Ji Chang wook. But I had to drop samdalri just after two episodes. the problem is that romcoms can't use Wook's acting potential at all. After his phenomenal performance in Worst of evil I just couldn't take samdalri. About queen of tears - I have to say that the drama had potential but it was dragged for long. The incidents seemed to be repeated after a point. I had to drop it too. I didn't even watch my demon so it's not even a question. And since you mentioned King the land, I must say that it's one of the worst dramas I have ever watched. Just joonho and yoona's chemistry saved it all. What wrong with these dramas is the repeated plot. They keep repeating the plots and tropes because people love those. There are good dramas too! One example is backstreet rookie. There's no protagonist with childhood trauma, no forced humor, no excessive incidents. It's just pure romance and comedy. But people didn't like it as much. Why? Because ji Chang Wook's character wasn't a chaebol, kim yoo Jung wasn't an ideal employee, they didn't entertain the enemies to lovers trope rather yoojung chased wook (not the other way round). Home town cha cha cha is another beautiful instance of the same. And if you like time slip romance - a time called you is the best one. Maybe if we change taste - these dramas will change too.
i actually really liked Samdalri tho. Queen of Tears was so boring imo. My Demon was good but not that good, its a one time watch but not worth being anyones favorite drama imo. pretty overrated. Backstreet Rookie was not my thing only bcz the age gap weirded me out - You-jung was like 20 while Chang-wook was like 32? so that weirded me out, so despite loving both of them, I couldn't really watch it idk. (i have nothing against age gaps its just when You-jung was 20 it felt like kinda weird yk)
I don't think that song kang is a bad actor .I have watched all his dramas and at all dramas he had done his best. Especially my demon he was a perfect . And actually people start to troll the dramas which gets a bit successful they are just jealous. I'll like to ask the ones who think it's a bad drama . Queen of Tears...this drama was great potential, amazing, but it was ruined with that stupid love triangle, evil mother and son, taking over the firm, bla, bla....this should be drama about two married people and two families.
Queen of Tears had so much potential but they were too busy fitting in as many tropes as they could with no care about whether it benefits the story and characters. Eunseong’s character was a terrible villain, he wasn’t threatening or sympathetic or the second love interest so his presence felt like a fly that just keeps randomly flying in your face and you gotta swat it away while getting progressively more irritated. But my biggest annoyance was that they didn’t address the miscarriage. They made it the catalyst of the downfall of their relationship, even put a flashback in the final episode to show that Hae In was in fact projecting her blaming herself for it onto Hyun woo, which is such a massive part of her character, and left it at that. It’s such a disservice to both characters’ arcs, she deserved to get the reassurance she needed then and he deserved to show that he understands her pain and tell her outright that she’s not to blame for the bad things that happened to her.
Sorry but queen of tears and welcome to samdalri are both pretty good queen of tears is emotional rollercoaster ride but it hits your every emotion on the right place.. And welcomd to samdalri is a comfort drama for me it will always be underrated its not about the story of just two people but also gives you peace when you watch it. So please dont defame it... For everyone who are going to watch this before watching these drama i would suggest you to give it a chance atleast once and that too for a margin of 2-3 ep for building up the story.
***Spoilers*** LR - the first two trips were to prevent his suicide. The last trip was to wipe his memory of her. There’s only one time-line when she tried to catch the killer without Sun-jae. Not as many times as people are thinking. Now put yourself in her shoes - she just made it back from her 2nd jump. She thought they were free and clear because until then, her fear had been him committing suicide. The serial killer wasn’t even on her radar. She reconciled with Sun-jae. A day later he’s murdered. So this is her 3rd attempt to prevent Sun-Jae’s death. As far as she knows, this is her last opportunity. She can’t travel back again. This isn’t like the other two times she went back when she was just a fan. This time it’s the man she loves. So no, she doesn’t want the man whose death she’s still grieving to risk his life. She doesn’t know long she has. There best way to catch him in her mind is to be bait. She knew Sun-jae wouldn’t agree to this and would mess up the plan if he knew, which is exactly what he ended up doing. She was relying on the people who are trained and whose job it is to catch criminals. I understand why he did it, but if Sun-jae hadn’t interfered, the killer would have been caught. But Sun-jae called the cops to protect her and that cop caused the killer to run away. I don’t blame her for trying to leave him out. Someone mentioned her ability to stop time. Remember time unfreezes as soon as stops speaking. She’d have to have a whole list of things to say. The police would be frozen as well, so what would she do while everyone is frozen? She doesn’t have the strength to move him. The best she could do is take the cop’s gun, but it’s not going to fire while everything is frozen. She’d have to stand right in front of him and shoot immediately after unfreezing time. Then she’d risk being overpowered.
I didn't watch My demon but I did try to watch Queen of tears and Welcome to Samdalri... Both of them were boring, and WtS was even worse with childish behavior and no chemistry whatsoever. Also, My lovely runner is big disappointment to me.
I just got done watching lovely runner, I sort of agree with what was said about how Im sol could've saved sun Jae so many times but I believe that her making those mistakes was the pathway to that ending the writers wanted, which I loved. This drama was based of a webtoon with a couple changes to make it realistic. It was truly an amazing drama with a great plot, chemistry, and ending. I also found it funny and entertaining unlike what was said. The actors, actresses, and directors did an excellent job in my opinion.

I think today's problem with kdrama is that people only want to watch pretty faces and happy end with marriage or proposal. If drama ends oposite of that, they will said it's a bad show. That's how they rate dramas. Korean dramas are more than pretty face and happy end.

Song kang is actually not a bad actor. It's just that he's very beautiful and some people associate beauty with dumbness. So they think good looking people can't act or are not good at their job. Song kang has a more expressive face than many overrated Korean actors. He experiments with different roles so every time we get to see him as a different person unlike some actors who always play the same kinda role in every drama they do. If you see his dramas you'll see he brings every emotion needed for the role he's playing. Some people are just biased and can't accept reality.
i have to agree that queen of tears is overrated. i dropped it along way as it is very underwhelming and nothing new. it's just a rip off of many other kdramas. there are many better kdramas which are a emotional rollercoaster like the penthouse, the last empress etc..
Queen of Tears was watchable but certainly not memorable. The FL’s acting was excellent and the ML’s acting seemed forced and exaggerated. I know he’s supposed to be the #1 actor in Korea but I disagree. My Demon looked horrible in the preview that I didn’t even bother watching it. Same with Chang Ji Wook’s movie. The only one I disagreed with is The Lovely Runner. Loved it! Both main actors were incredible. The chemistry was off the hook. It’s a fun, rom com and definitely memorable.
Romcom drama should only have romance and comedy with perfect storyline and without any other genre mixing into it best example is a business proposal and what's wrong with secretary Kim?
Lovely Runner - I’m not a fan of the actress. I don’t have a problem with her. I just haven’t liked her characters. So I’m completely unbiased. I disagree with the comment about her facial expressions. Most of the time we can guess how someone we know is feeling by the look on their face. How? Because there are certain faces a person makes for when they’re sad or happy or angry, etc. Each of those clips are from moments her character was upset and that’s the face she makes when she’s upset. If that was the expression on her face in scenes when she was angry, happy, goofy, etc. then I’d agree with the criticism but that is not how she looked in happy or comedic scenes, scenes that she wasn’t upset. There were comedic scenes that just the express on her face made me laugh.
I also had many opinions as same as yours especially about my demon and that particular acting style of that actress .. definitely not MY cup of tea. There might be people who like that style (by the comments there certainly is) but definitely not something i enjoy
Lovely runner was pretty good to be honest. The story was good and refreshing. Thr casting was amazing and ryu sun jae character + byeon woo seok acting really made it amazing. I was sceptical about kim hye yoob chemistry with byeon woo seok but it was amazing. I didn't watched thay samal dari one but except them every kdrama was overrated and only ran because of the cast being popular and their chemistry.
my Demon: dropped out after 3 episodes, Song Kang = Michael J Fox, eternal high school boy, cute but that is it. Of course The Heirs is a rip-off of Gossip Girl, less politically correct; Queen of Tears just boring, and ludicrous, and again, a school boy (Korea‘s favorite school boy?) trying to convince as a grown up. Lovely Runner criticism SPOT ON. Will please the simple minded, and there are lots of them…. Most of today‘s dramas we have definitely seen before. Take heart, Cdramas are even more simple-minded!
I have been watching kdramas for a very long time and honestly it definitely has lost it's touch in the romance department.....all the above dramas mentioned in this video were really not that up to the mark.....The chemistry wasn't strong, the PLOT was just tooo repetitive.....Now a days it's just the star studded cast and i believe the massive success could also be credited to the new viewers but i highly doubt old kdrama viewers could rank these dramas as a hit when compared to older romance kdramas. Well i ended up dropping all these dramas and via shorts itself i could make out what was going on.
Yes, the quality of good Korean dramas has gone down. Before they became so popular they were excellent. Netflix ruined Korean dramas with nonsense like Chicken Nugget where a woman turns into a chicken nugget.. dramas like Fated to Love You (I watched twice) has gone with the wind ! I’m so disappointed. Lazy writers quick to make a dollar writing crap.
1.For me Mr. sunshine was an incredible show................. i watched most of the completed dramas out there . since i knew it was a tearjerker didn't watch it for the whole 5 years. It was the best guyz... Loved it so much.. Obviously i was crying in most of the episodes... But my blood was boiling while watching the last episodes the story was topnotch . I am saying my point of view, I didn't felt bored that's all. I respect their opinion 2.I couldn't complete My demon i felt it was a bit of a cliche and was boring for me... 3.I loved the feeling of watching lovely runner (If you get it you get it) every episodes where comforting for me......It made me laugh 4.Welcome to samdri also given that kind of comfort to me ( It reminded me of our blue, hometown cha cha cha ect..) 5.I don't believe ji chang wook in romcom are bad.....while watching the drama i felt like he is enjoying acting those characters wholeheartedly ..... For me his acting in sound of magic and welcome to samdari was equally likable as The worst of evil.

ahh, Finally, a comment that is agreeable. I was looking forward to complete "my demon" was released, but couldn't get through first episode. Completely agree with "Lovely Runner", if you get it you get it for sure and every episode has those little clues and just so heart warming to watch, I feel like it's more of for people who experienced or wish to experience that first love feel that would like this romcom. I love Ji Chang Wook's movies, but this was ok, chemistry was not that great.
We are starting to see a lot of shorter dramas at 10 or 12 episodes. Some of these 16 episode show you can see that they run out of content and the last couple of episodes are just full of repetitive filler, possibly why some viewers drop the shows at episode 12 or 13.
i wouldve put netflix's Sisyphus as bad. too many plotholes in a time travel movie. like why is she trying to save him>? one second the bad guys r trying to shoot them then the other second they need him alive.

Dissent has much more outlets than ever before. Controversy and debate can annoy some people but on balance is good. It's competition crying out for more quality AND more innovation. All this seems good to me. Keep the writers on their toes, but don't just produce popular (mass-marketed) trash either.

I haven't watched samdalri yet but lack of chemistry from a ji chang wook's drama that guy is the chemistry master he had brilliant chemistry with kim ji won in lovestruck also with nam ji Hyun in suspicious partner
I disagree with lovely runner yet the drama was a bit a tiny but streched from the last few episodes but i enjoyed watching the drama chemistry was good and acting was also good qot i agree i am not a huge fan but idk what happened like the drama was not able to hook me from ep1 i watched till ep 6 or 7 and after the villain bdcomes the ceo and throws them out i am like what? It didnt made sense also idk bt fl she is a good actress but her role... um lets not talk abt that also i simply hated the fact that they showed the fl fine when she was suffering from CANCER she was still healthy?? these criticisms are mostly on point except for welcome to Samdal Ri.. the main lead was super.. he’s eyes always longing to be with Cho samdal.. and his battles with the met department was hilarious.. also the queen of tears the illnes part being not so relatable is a good observation.. but otherwise exploring the theme of a dying marriage rekindling is interesting and unique in my opinion… al though there were many frustrating instances where the main pair would stay away from each other even though they were longing for each other… and when they did get together it felt anti climactic and underwhelming because the emotion of the anticipation had already passed…
I would definitely agree with the last part of the video that k-dramas dese days don't have that oomph factor to instantly spellbind you and keep you hooked till the last episode..I started watching K-dramas back in 2020 and was so mesmerized by the earlier k-dramas like reply 1988 and coffee prince etc. there obviously are a few exceptions which keep coming every now n den likeflower of evil, 25-21, hometown cha cha cha etc but overall the writing and quality has just decreased especially in the last 2 years!!
my takes: 1. imo my demon wasnt awful, and neither were the actors. Kang and You-jung are great, now they're both successful so people are hating on them but remember when everyone used to love their acting?! that pisses me off. It's giving Wonyoung 2.0. They did great in the drama. As for the actual drama, it was good. Most people I see seem to absolutely really really love it, or they don't like it and find it boring. For me though- I liked it. I didn't love it. It wasn't amazing, or out of this world drama. Admittedly, I probably wouldn't have watched it unless it had SK and KYJ, because they are both 2 of my favorites. But even if I like an actor, that usually only makes me watch the first couple episodes, and if the drama is bad, I don't go on. Maybe I liked it because I didn't have wayyy too high expectations of it. I found it a nice, watchable, great for a one time chill watch kdrama. It wasn't out of this world, new, one of my favs, i loved it, type thing, but it was nice. imo, my demon is both overrated, and overhated. Not every single kdrama has to be completely different or have some new, never seen before thing. In the oversaturated world of kdrama, sometimes a show that is romantic, sad, funny, and has an unrealistic plot and quite a few cringey moments, all at the same time, is fine and it's exactly what kdrama viewers may need. 2. Ji Chang-wook was actually so good in WTSDR whattt?! he performed his role well imo, not every actor has to do extravagent acting to be good- and imo the leads had great chemistry. SHS is obviously always an amazing actress (she sets my bar higher for good acting because shes just that good), and JCW was good too. and their chemistry was great, idk why ppl think it wasnt. Yes it was slapstick, but the drama was cute and entertaining, both the main AND side plots were good, and yes it was sort of cringy but cmon, real life has cringy moments so it would be unrealistic if a drama didn't have any cringy moments (yet netizens seem to complain if theres even a single cringe moment in dramas these days, but in dramas where theres no cringe, they call it boring or unrealistic). As for SHS character "not handling herself the way I wanted her to". girl she was put in a difficult situation so that commentator can shut up, she's not you and everyone would handle that situation differently. Bullying and workplace harassment is not an easy matter and ofc she would be confused as to what to do if she was put in that situation, even though she knows she didn't do anything wrong. I feel like the drama was very realistic bcz as much as ppl want to stand up to others, it can sometimes be hard, especially if so many people are against you. I also loved how the drama really depicted the reality of netizens and people online switching up so fast. and the KTH cameo was also adorable. Literally the only complaints I have about WTSDR is- a) the ending. IT wasn't a bad ending but I feel like it could have been different and better, like for example I would have liked it if bu sang do found someone new because as much as I hated his character for about the first 13ish episodes I did feel really bad about his unrequited crush and I think it would have been nice if we could at least have seen like, a few seconds or some hint that he had moved on from his crush yk?! yes you don't need a SO in your life always to feel happy but i feel like in sang do case it would have been nice because it would have showed he would have maybe moved on because I feel like he deserves someone who loves him back after having an unrequited crush on SD for so long. a couple other minor stuff I didn't like about the ending as well, but I'm not gonna get into that too much. i didn't like the cheon chung hee working with samdal against storyline but anyways im not gonna get into it. my only other complaint is HAEDAL AND HAYUL AND HAEDALS NEW BF AND ALSO HAEDALS BACKSTORY- ALL OF THAT- NEEDED MORE SCREENTIME. justice for haedal, i really liked her character, and her boyfriend as well, and her daughter was so so cute and very mature for her age too. also haedal and her boyfriend were so cute together the whole dolphins thing ajekiroeuriefjaiojio. 3. idk much about that screenwriter, i haven't seen DOTF or mr. sunshine, or any of her dramas except for two. Those were CLOY and The Glory. i didn't like CLOY that much, i dropped it. (really unpopular opinion bcz i know this one is so so so popular). but I think she is a good screenwriter, at least in The Glory I really liked her writing so maybe shes like a hit and miss but based on The Glory, if she tries she can definitely write a GREAT script. idk about the plagarism tho or the casting or whatever. as for the using assistent writers, i don't think thats bad but if she plagarized their work then thats really shitty. 4. im guilty as one of those people who disliked QOT, i started it and couldn't even finish the first episode. It looked so boring, I know I said earlier that you don't always need to do a new, completely different script, but I also think if you're going to use old ideas at least make it good. Well, I guess it worked though since a lot of people liked QOT, but it personally was not my taste at all. I didn't see past the first episode but I did google the plot online and see some stuff about it and it def doesn't look my taste at all, the ending was weird and also i feel like the plot of being sick is so oversatured atp. 5. i haven't watched lovely runner so no comment on this one. its not my type of plot so im not really interested and i probably wont watch this in the future either. i do like BWS but i don't the plot is my type so...
I could not get into Queen of tears they were right there was too much crammed into the story. Too many tropes and it made it not fun to watch.. It relied too much on the popularity of the actors and didn’t have a clear direction. It dragged and that made me stop watching.. I will never watch Mr. Sunshine again.. the story made me upset in pace and I just didn’t believe that the ML would make the choices he did. Also agree though I love Lovely Runner I do believe that ImSol did cause the death of SunJae because she insisted on handling things herself when she couldn’t even remember parts of what happened to her. But I loved the romance of the story and KYS is a marvelous actress and she held the story where it could have gone cliche . So I can’t be too harsh on Lovely Runner I liked the journey.
Could not get through two episodes of Lovely Runner. Ick. But just rewatched Signal, and it was just as amazing the second time around. Such powerful performances, and a complex plot that doesn't fall apart before the end.

All of this is so true. Queen of tears being a rip off of all good old kdramas and still is considered the best drama of all time, people should reevaluate their taste and liking.

I really like and rewatch Business Proposal. I love the leads chemistry and then the secondary leads get their own love story and twists.

Many shows earn popularity because of the cast no body these days cares about quality as long as their favourite actor or actress is acting in a show then it's a masterpiece......but I have to agree all the good shows these days are underrated. I find it hard ro watch over hyped shows these days because i fear it might be just another average show smeared with lots of hype and praises....
The formula these days is simple..get a mediocre script and cast it to famous actors and actresses make it a rom com which many kdrama fans crave for apparently and then it will be a master piece sadly

This character was made for her. She hit every note perfectly. She brought tears to my eyes every episode - tears of laughter, tears of sadness, tears of happiness.
In my opinion, it's not that serious... Everyone has different tastes and opinions, and it's ok. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's automatically bad. I love most of the dramas mentioned here, but you may hate them, and that's ok..its just the way the world works. Your tastes and opinions are not superior nor inferior to that of others. At the end of the day, it's just a drama, and there is no need to take it too seriously (until there is something absolutely wrong or offensive about it ofc) let people enjoy what they want 🤷🏻♀️
Personaly :
- "My demon" was watchable but its not a show i'd pick if someone asked me for recommandation.
- I couldn't even forced myself to watch the entire first episode of "queen of tears" same for "welcome to salmdari"
- Although I really enjoyed "Lovely Runner". I do agree with some the criticism made toward it. KHY's acting was pretty good overall but her shocked expressions were so forced and unatural.
I can actually agree with anything you say in this video but not with lovely runner. Like seriously they have no chemistry are you kidding me. They are one of the couple who has very good chemistry which will remembered for years. And kim Hyeyoon acting is so good like are we watching the same drama. She showed so many emotions no female lead would have shown in any of the kdrama.
Nothing was said about the chemistry, just acting , writers decisions about the plot and the toilet scene.
Kinda sad that not everyone likes hye yoon acting, she's basically one of the top there she's very versatile.

Queens of tears was just what is wrong with fl. She is supposed to be a badass but got fooled by the villain at every step and didn't treat her husband right for 3 years yet she went after him for marriage.

I'm a huge fan of Ji Chang wook. But I had to drop samdalri just after two episodes. the problem is that romcoms can't use Wook's acting potential at all. After his phenomenal performance in Worst of evil I just couldn't take samdalri. About queen of tears - I have to say that the drama had potential but it was dragged for long. The incidents seemed to be repeated after a point. I had to drop it too. I didn't even watch my demon so it's not even a question. And since you mentioned King the land, I must say that it's one of the worst dramas I have ever watched. Just joonho and yoona's chemistry saved it all.
What wrong with these dramas is the repeated plot. They keep repeating the plots and tropes because people love those. There are good dramas too! One example is backstreet rookie. There's no protagonist with childhood trauma, no forced humor, no excessive incidents. It's just pure romance and comedy. But people didn't like it as much. Why? Because ji Chang Wook's character wasn't a chaebol, kim yoo Jung wasn't an ideal employee, they didn't entertain the enemies to lovers trope rather yoojung chased wook (not the other way round).
Home town cha cha cha is another beautiful instance of the same.
And if you like time slip romance - a time called you is the best one.
Maybe if we change taste - these dramas will change too.

i actually really liked Samdalri tho. Queen of Tears was so boring imo. My Demon was good but not that good, its a one time watch but not worth being anyones favorite drama imo. pretty overrated. Backstreet Rookie was not my thing only bcz the age gap weirded me out - You-jung was like 20 while Chang-wook was like 32? so that weirded me out, so despite loving both of them, I couldn't really watch it idk. (i have nothing against age gaps its just when You-jung was 20 it felt like kinda weird yk)

Queen of Tears...this drama was great potential, amazing, but it was ruined with that stupid love triangle, evil mother and son, taking over the firm, bla, bla....this should be drama about two married people and two families.
Queen of Tears had so much potential but they were too busy fitting in as many tropes as they could with no care about whether it benefits the story and characters. Eunseong’s character was a terrible villain, he wasn’t threatening or sympathetic or the second love interest so his presence felt like a fly that just keeps randomly flying in your face and you gotta swat it away while getting progressively more irritated. But my biggest annoyance was that they didn’t address the miscarriage. They made it the catalyst of the downfall of their relationship, even put a flashback in the final episode to show that Hae In was in fact projecting her blaming herself for it onto Hyun woo, which is such a massive part of her character, and left it at that. It’s such a disservice to both characters’ arcs, she deserved to get the reassurance she needed then and he deserved to show that he understands her pain and tell her outright that she’s not to blame for the bad things that happened to her.

Sorry but queen of tears and welcome to samdalri are both pretty good queen of tears is emotional rollercoaster ride but it hits your every emotion on the right place.. And welcomd to samdalri is a comfort drama for me it will always be underrated its not about the story of just two people but also gives you peace when you watch it. So please dont defame it...
For everyone who are going to watch this before watching these drama i would suggest you to give it a chance atleast once and that too for a margin of 2-3 ep for building up the story.

finally found the people with the similar opinions. The characters and the k dramas were overhyped only just because of the visuals.

LR - the first two trips were to prevent his suicide. The last trip was to wipe his memory of her. There’s only one time-line when she tried to catch the killer without Sun-jae. Not as many times as people are thinking. Now put yourself in her shoes - she just made it back from her 2nd jump. She thought they were free and clear because until then, her fear had been him committing suicide. The serial killer wasn’t even on her radar. She reconciled with Sun-jae. A day later he’s murdered.
So this is her 3rd attempt to prevent Sun-Jae’s death. As far as she knows, this is her last opportunity. She can’t travel back again. This isn’t like the other two times she went back when she was just a fan. This time it’s the man she loves. So no, she doesn’t want the man whose death she’s still grieving to risk his life. She doesn’t know long she has. There best way to catch him in her mind is to be bait. She knew Sun-jae wouldn’t agree to this and would mess up the plan if he knew, which is exactly what he ended up doing. She was relying on the people who are trained and whose job it is to catch criminals. I understand why he did it, but if Sun-jae hadn’t interfered, the killer would have been caught. But Sun-jae called the cops to protect her and that cop caused the killer to run away. I don’t blame her for trying to leave him out.
Someone mentioned her ability to stop time. Remember time unfreezes as soon as stops speaking. She’d have to have a whole list of things to say. The police would be frozen as well, so what would she do while everyone is frozen? She doesn’t have the strength to move him. The best she could do is take the cop’s gun, but it’s not going to fire while everything is frozen. She’d have to stand right in front of him and shoot immediately after unfreezing time. Then she’d risk being overpowered.
I didn't watch My demon but I did try to watch Queen of tears and Welcome to Samdalri... Both of them were boring, and WtS was even worse with childish behavior and no chemistry whatsoever. Also, My lovely runner is big disappointment to me.
I just got done watching lovely runner, I sort of agree with what was said about how Im sol could've saved sun Jae so many times but I believe that her making those mistakes was the pathway to that ending the writers wanted, which I loved. This drama was based of a webtoon with a couple changes to make it realistic. It was truly an amazing drama with a great plot, chemistry, and ending. I also found it funny and entertaining unlike what was said. The actors, actresses, and directors did an excellent job in my opinion.

I think today's problem with kdrama is that people only want to watch pretty faces and happy end with marriage or proposal. If drama ends oposite of that, they will said it's a bad show. That's how they rate dramas. Korean dramas are more than pretty face and happy end.

Song kang is actually not a bad actor. It's just that he's very beautiful and some people associate beauty with dumbness. So they think good looking people can't act or are not good at their job. Song kang has a more expressive face than many overrated Korean actors. He experiments with different roles so every time we get to see him as a different person unlike some actors who always play the same kinda role in every drama they do. If you see his dramas you'll see he brings every emotion needed for the role he's playing. Some people are just biased and can't accept reality.

Queen of Tears was watchable but certainly not memorable. The FL’s acting was excellent and the ML’s acting seemed forced and exaggerated. I know he’s supposed to be the #1 actor in Korea but I disagree.
My Demon looked horrible in the preview that I didn’t even bother watching it. Same with Chang Ji Wook’s movie.
The only one I disagreed with is The Lovely Runner. Loved it! Both main actors were incredible. The chemistry was off the hook. It’s a fun, rom com and definitely memorable.

Lovely Runner - I’m not a fan of the actress. I don’t have a problem with her. I just haven’t liked her characters. So I’m completely unbiased.
I disagree with the comment about her facial expressions. Most of the time we can guess how someone we know is feeling by the look on their face. How? Because there are certain faces a person makes for when they’re sad or happy or angry, etc. Each of those clips are from moments her character was upset and that’s the face she makes when she’s upset. If that was the expression on her face in scenes when she was angry, happy, goofy, etc. then I’d agree with the criticism but that is not how she looked in happy or comedic scenes, scenes that she wasn’t upset.
There were comedic scenes that just the express on her face made me laugh.
Some cases,the actors' are not good and at times,its just bad scriptwriting and storyline

Lovely runner was pretty good to be honest. The story was good and refreshing. Thr casting was amazing and ryu sun jae character + byeon woo seok acting really made it amazing. I was sceptical about kim hye yoob chemistry with byeon woo seok but it was amazing. I didn't watched thay samal dari one but except them every kdrama was overrated and only ran because of the cast being popular and their chemistry.
my Demon: dropped out after 3 episodes, Song Kang = Michael J Fox, eternal high school boy, cute but that is it. Of course The Heirs is a rip-off of Gossip Girl, less politically correct; Queen of Tears just boring, and ludicrous, and again, a school boy (Korea‘s favorite school boy?) trying to convince as a grown up. I have been watching kdramas for a very long time and honestly it definitely has lost it's touch in the romance department.....all the above dramas mentioned in this video were really not that up to the mark.....The chemistry wasn't strong, the PLOT was just tooo repetitive.....Now a days it's just the star studded cast and i believe the massive success could also be credited to the new viewers but i highly doubt old kdrama viewers could rank these dramas as a hit when compared to older romance kdramas. Well i ended up dropping all these dramas and via shorts itself i could make out what was going on.
Yes, the quality of good Korean dramas has gone down. Before they became so popular they were excellent. Netflix ruined Korean dramas with nonsense like Chicken Nugget where a woman turns into a chicken nugget.. dramas like Fated to Love You (I watched twice) has gone with the wind ! I’m so disappointed. Lazy writers quick to make a dollar writing crap.

Completely agree with "Lovely Runner", if you get it you get it for sure and every episode has those little clues and just so heart warming to watch, I feel like it's more of for people who experienced or wish to experience that first love feel that would like this romcom. I love Ji Chang Wook's movies, but this was ok, chemistry was not that great.

We are starting to see a lot of shorter dramas at 10 or 12 episodes. Some of these 16 episode show you can see that they run out of content and the last couple of episodes are just full of repetitive filler, possibly why some viewers drop the shows at episode 12 or 13.

these criticisms are mostly on point except for welcome to Samdal Ri.. the main lead was super.. he’s eyes always longing to be with Cho samdal.. and his battles with the met department was hilarious.. also the queen of tears the illnes part being not so relatable is a good observation.. but otherwise exploring the theme of a dying marriage rekindling is interesting and unique in my opinion… al though there were many frustrating instances where the main pair would stay away from each other even though they were longing for each other… and when they did get together it felt anti climactic and underwhelming because the emotion of the anticipation had already passed…

I would definitely agree with the last part of the video that k-dramas dese days don't have that oomph factor to instantly spellbind you and keep you hooked till the last episode..I started watching K-dramas back in 2020 and was so mesmerized by the earlier k-dramas like reply 1988 and coffee prince etc. there obviously are a few exceptions which keep coming every now n den likeflower of evil, 25-21, hometown cha cha cha etc but overall the writing and quality has just decreased especially in the last 2 years!!
Believe it or not 2016 was the best year of k dramas.

1. imo my demon wasnt awful, and neither were the actors. Kang and You-jung are great, now they're both successful so people are hating on them but remember when everyone used to love their acting?! that pisses me off. It's giving Wonyoung 2.0. They did great in the drama. As for the actual drama, it was good. Most people I see seem to absolutely really really love it, or they don't like it and find it boring. For me though- I liked it. I didn't love it. It wasn't amazing, or out of this world drama. Admittedly, I probably wouldn't have watched it unless it had SK and KYJ, because they are both 2 of my favorites. But even if I like an actor, that usually only makes me watch the first couple episodes, and if the drama is bad, I don't go on. Maybe I liked it because I didn't have wayyy too high expectations of it. I found it a nice, watchable, great for a one time chill watch kdrama. It wasn't out of this world, new, one of my favs, i loved it, type thing, but it was nice. imo, my demon is both overrated, and overhated. Not every single kdrama has to be completely different or have some new, never seen before thing. In the oversaturated world of kdrama, sometimes a show that is romantic, sad, funny, and has an unrealistic plot and quite a few cringey moments, all at the same time, is fine and it's exactly what kdrama viewers may need.
2. Ji Chang-wook was actually so good in WTSDR whattt?! he performed his role well imo, not every actor has to do extravagent acting to be good- and imo the leads had great chemistry. SHS is obviously always an amazing actress (she sets my bar higher for good acting because shes just that good), and JCW was good too. and their chemistry was great, idk why ppl think it wasnt. Yes it was slapstick, but the drama was cute and entertaining, both the main AND side plots were good, and yes it was sort of cringy but cmon, real life has cringy moments so it would be unrealistic if a drama didn't have any cringy moments (yet netizens seem to complain if theres even a single cringe moment in dramas these days, but in dramas where theres no cringe, they call it boring or unrealistic). As for SHS character "not handling herself the way I wanted her to". girl she was put in a difficult situation so that commentator can shut up, she's not you and everyone would handle that situation differently. Bullying and workplace harassment is not an easy matter and ofc she would be confused as to what to do if she was put in that situation, even though she knows she didn't do anything wrong. I feel like the drama was very realistic bcz as much as ppl want to stand up to others, it can sometimes be hard, especially if so many people are against you. I also loved how the drama really depicted the reality of netizens and people online switching up so fast. and the KTH cameo was also adorable. Literally the only complaints I have about WTSDR is- a) the ending. IT wasn't a bad ending but I feel like it could have been different and better, like for example I would have liked it if bu sang do found someone new because as much as I hated his character for about the first 13ish episodes I did feel really bad about his unrequited crush and I think it would have been nice if we could at least have seen like, a few seconds or some hint that he had moved on from his crush yk?! yes you don't need a SO in your life always to feel happy but i feel like in sang do case it would have been nice because it would have showed he would have maybe moved on because I feel like he deserves someone who loves him back after having an unrequited crush on SD for so long. a couple other minor stuff I didn't like about the ending as well, but I'm not gonna get into that too much. i didn't like the cheon chung hee working with samdal against storyline but anyways im not gonna get into it. my only other complaint is HAEDAL AND HAYUL AND HAEDALS NEW BF AND ALSO HAEDALS BACKSTORY- ALL OF THAT- NEEDED MORE SCREENTIME. justice for haedal, i really liked her character, and her boyfriend as well, and her daughter was so so cute and very mature for her age too. also haedal and her boyfriend were so cute together the whole dolphins thing ajekiroeuriefjaiojio.
3. idk much about that screenwriter, i haven't seen DOTF or mr. sunshine, or any of her dramas except for two. Those were CLOY and The Glory. i didn't like CLOY that much, i dropped it. (really unpopular opinion bcz i know this one is so so so popular). but I think she is a good screenwriter, at least in The Glory I really liked her writing so maybe shes like a hit and miss but based on The Glory, if she tries she can definitely write a GREAT script. idk about the plagarism tho or the casting or whatever. as for the using assistent writers, i don't think thats bad but if she plagarized their work then thats really shitty.
4. im guilty as one of those people who disliked QOT, i started it and couldn't even finish the first episode. It looked so boring, I know I said earlier that you don't always need to do a new, completely different script, but I also think if you're going to use old ideas at least make it good. Well, I guess it worked though since a lot of people liked QOT, but it personally was not my taste at all. I didn't see past the first episode but I did google the plot online and see some stuff about it and it def doesn't look my taste at all, the ending was weird and also i feel like the plot of being sick is so oversatured atp.
5. i haven't watched lovely runner so no comment on this one. its not my type of plot so im not really interested and i probably wont watch this in the future either. i do like BWS but i don't the plot is my type so...

Apart from lovely runner, I agree with all the other unpopular opinions..I dropped QOT midway..
I could not get into Queen of tears they were right there was too much crammed into the story. Too many tropes and it made it not fun to watch.. It relied too much on the popularity of the actors and didn’t have a clear direction. It dragged and that made me stop watching.. I will never watch Mr. Sunshine again.. the story made me upset in pace and I just didn’t believe that the ML would make the choices he did. Also agree though I love Lovely Runner I do believe that ImSol did cause the death of SunJae because she insisted on handling things herself when she couldn’t even remember parts of what happened to her. But I loved the romance of the story and KYS is a marvelous actress and she held the story where it could have gone cliche . So I can’t be too harsh on Lovely Runner I liked the journey.

Could not get through two episodes of Lovely Runner. Ick. But just rewatched Signal, and it was just as amazing the second time around. Such powerful performances, and a complex plot that doesn't fall apart before the end.

It's true that the Lovely runner's female lead was too cringe and I didn't find any chemistry between them and tbh especially their height difference made me feel so uncomfortable
It's definitely not for everyone, but for me even tho I have problems about the plot what sold me is their romance. I was so invested that I never thought someone would hate their chemistry coz I'm very picky, and i don't even watch romance drama anymore my last one was dots😂..but yea turn out there's still some.
