I think we might finally see some new innovative items from OM. Many have already jumped ship. They need to do something at this point. I would love to have an OM camera in my kit again. Not for wildlife, but definitely for insect macro and long exposure shots.
@foto-spective 100%! Injection of some real innovation if it materializes to be innovative if nothing else pushes the whole industry. Did you sell off the m43 gear? Regardless what comes, I still might get into something else depending on what drops.
@@BMadPhoto Yes I sold the EM-1 mark II in order to afford the Canon RF system. That's why I never did the comparison video you requested. I would certainly still have MF3 gear if I had the finances.
@ ah - smart choice, 2 systems are not practical at all, I really should switch or stay - lol I think the term might be **** or get off of the pot. I have had the canon in my cart multiple times and change my mind, also the sony, playing this way something else is going to come for the past year now - this literally is in with the official drop in a few weeks.
@BMadPhoto 2 systems is definitely not practical. It's hard enough collecting lenses for one system. 😆 I continue to debate getting a new wildlife lens. Keep hoping Sigma will drop the 150-600 for the RF mount.
I’m lucky enough to have access to different systems. I’ve realised that there is no one perfect camera/system that does it all. M43 will always have a place on the shelf. Hoping for a good year for OM and LUMIX.
I dont think they will release a new camera with new sensor and processor. It will be a new body using the same sensor and processor of the OM-1 and OM-1 II. Dont think they will release a camera with new sensor with higher megapixel as with their quantities sold, this will not be profitable. At €2000 the new vintage camera will be a bit at the expensive side in an overcrowded market.
Yeah agree, thanks for watching :) That is what it seems now with recent leaks, I am still excited to see what it can do - but been let down by the hype machine too many times to count. There IS so much they could still do on every existing cameras hardware, and definitely with this new one in the area of video improvement that I hope to see, but serious / realistically doubt will happen. Still might be a fun little set up!
Much ado about nothing, or the big news we've been waiting for? What yall think, time to jump ship and abandon m43?

It would be great to see some new innovative gear at the MF3's level. I also feel it will always have a place on my shelf. 👍😎
