This scene is so packed with jokes. This is the reason I love Community. There are so many jokes you forget half of them making it rewatchable over and over. Thanks for the laughs.

as someone who used to be such a big fan of Glee one of my favorite things of Community is the constant mocking of the show. merry early christmas !

It's because he is such a terrible and petty person that it so in character for him
I find it hilarious that it implies Jeff researched the songs they were singing and which performance rights’ organization the artists were partnered with (ASCAP) just make sure they got shut down.
And it’s totally on-brand that Greendale would have acquired zero performance licensing.

For someone who hasn’t ever followed glee, can you tell us what happened?
3 cast members have actually passed away.
From what i understand, 3 cast members died, one from drug overdose while they were still filming, one was caught with child pornography and comitted suicide, nata rivera the most recent one also passed away. Lea michele is apparently a bitch and made everyone's life a living hell while filming. Also two of the cast members in later seasons got married in real life and got divorced because he was abusive. I don't remember if there's more but the cast is cursed

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the writers of Community REALLY don't like Glee.
It came out at the same and I think they were also filmed near each other, anyways Harmon never really got over it taking more of the spotlight and being the hot thing at the time.
Added to the fact that Glee could not be better suited for satire.

Furthermore, *Glee* was Emmy-nominated multiple times throughout its six seasons (winning several awards) whereas *Community* struggled to be recognized by the TV Academy, earning only four nominations in six years. This is also why a lot of *Community* fans despised *Glee.* The term 'underrated' is often overused these days, but *Community* was indeed underrated as hell! I'm glad it is being rediscovered/reevaluated.

God, i always forget about the Greendale Human Being...
I love their obvious disdain towards the Glee club, especially in the real life Glee tv show was just awful with lots of awful actors.
And according to Ken and Joel the Glee sets were across the street at the lot they filmed at and they took all the attention away from Community during studio tours
Still sad that they keep dying so young (and yes I know they were all quite older than their characters).
To be fair actors are all really good but the writing tends to be all over the place.
