- The Nonlinear Labs C15 received the most significant software update since its release. The most important new features are presented in this video.
More info on the C15: www.nonlinear-...
It's an update of the operating system, the synth engine and the user interface. It includes layer, split and mono modes, more voices, and more macro controls and modulation targets.
Get a detailed list of all the improvements here:

This update continues the constant evolution of the C15 since its launch three years ago. It expands its range and quality of sounds and improves his playability and suitability for musical performance. The update is accompanied by around 200 new presets making use of the new features.
The new software is a complete rewrite. Based on the new architecture, future developments will be easier and will also benefit from new opportunities. The synth engine and the user interface now both run on Linux.
The update is free for all C15 users, who will also benefit from the interchangeable magnetic foils, as the new version comes with updated overlays reflecting the new features.
All new instruments are shipped with the new system and we will contact all users in the coming weeks to perform the update with them. Early models of the C15 will be brought to Berlin to update the hardware in order to install the new software.
Thanks to Tim Sund for his improvisations in this Video!

My God. Now it really delivers.
Speachless ..
It just sounds so organically beautiful, like a real analog instrument should. Hope I get to play one some day and see how it compares to my beloved Rev2 in person.
Like a real analog? C15 is as digital as you can get.
@@sK3LeTvM1It is but it can sound quite analog. When doing subtractive synthesis on it, you have free running oscillators 2 & 4 pole filters and can make it sound as warm, phasing and dirty as you like. The integration between hardware and technology is quite profound which allows it to feel like an acoustic instrument.
Split point controlled by ribbon. Genius!
Thank you! The split point can also be controlled using one of the foot pedals. So even more freedom for your hands. We should make a video about that too.
My dream synth. No bells and whistles just and insane highly playable beast of a synth engine. Maybe a mono phonic or more affordable model someday ...please? Peace Chriso👽
Natural finish: what an outstanding beauty
Black: linear boredom
Beautiful sound, unique looking synth!
ive just discovered this. I have been on the hunt for a synclavier but...this thing is awesome!
Such a beautiful living creature of Sound. Cant wait to work with one.
Mahogany finish would be awesome.
I would love to see a version with the osmose keybed
At 5 minutes: pure shiver
Sounds amazing!
What would this be like, paired to something like a ROLI Seaboard? Does it support MPE now that it has MIDI?
At 5:50 so beautiful
a pity that you did not think about the change of sound the crash is still really annoying on stage
does the reverb come from the synth?
Yes, the Reverb is one of the built-in effects. There are 5 stereo effects: Cabinet, 8-pole Gap/Band Filter, Phaser/Flanger/Chorus/Tremolo, Echo, and Reverb.
wow
0:38 The sound the the Ps3 comes up
oooohweeeee :)
bye bye other keyboards
Imagine having one & a key or two stop working..... your fucked
I would really hope to buy it if only it was a TRUE PERFORMANCE WITH POLYPPHONIC AFTERTOUCH. It has None!!!! No Polyphonic Variable Sensor Keys (see for example Touch Keys Website on the x, y and z sensing - or how about HAAKEN). For the advertising to say this is a performance machine, they must define performance in the 1800's - I get more out of my Schmidt 8-Voice and a VAX-77 poly touch than here - and no MIDI kills off the opportunity of othe creatiuve poly gestures. To NONLINEAR LABS - don't market a crippled digital cpu as a performance instrument with most features crippled. I own a CS-80 (real performance), Schmidt and Haaken (incredible performance) as well as many other instruments - I was SUPER disappointed reading your web-site. If you have one-fingered player then the one finger note after touch is great. For the rest of us that like to use all ten of our fingers on after touch, this is terrible. I see no advantage and no advantages to the C15 today in any multi-gestural performance situation compared to the ROLI and its synth tools.
@unarmed blackman lol
It's definitely still a performance instrument. In a similar category to the nord keyboards, and those are extremely popular.
