My final mailing envelope is I believe the 2nd from the largest from USPS. Coz I remember their largest is too big and a waste of space.

Hi! I started with a manila envelope to hold and separate all the forms. Then those envelopes are placed in a clasp envelope that is just the right size for the bulk of the manila envelope. Then all clasp envelopes i placed in a huge usps mailing envelope. Trust your judgement. Theres no standard size. Just make sure your docs can fit alright and not crumpled in the envelopes.
Cyndi, I have another question, So I noticed that there was only 1 package for the Form I-864 but do you have to file another form I-864 for your son or did you include him as a family member?
Hello! Yes I have G-1145 in every form because I wanted to be notified electronically in every application. Just in case they get processed individually.

Hello sis! You are very welcome. What I did for my K2 is I photocopied my affidavit of support and that's what I attached to my K2's packet. And then for the financial docs/proof, we just shared whatever copies I've submitted.
We were never given a form DS 3025 during the medical examination abroad. They simply gave us a sealed envelope only to be opened by US Customs officer. You are correct my friend. In the signature of the applicant in Part 3 7.a. make sure you write For: (name of your child) then you sign it. Then you fill out the preparer's page part 5 of the form and then you sign.

Hi! A number is necessary in the AOS form. I researched online where you can look it up but it seems to me that if you entered the US with a K1 visa only NOA2 can give you the info. Did your husband enter the US with a K1 visa? If yes, you might wan to call USCIS to obtain the alien number.

Hello! Just a disclaimer I am not a tax expert but what I was told was, tax returns can potentially miss out on some important tax items. The tax transcript is complete and is a summary of your tax returns + W2 + 1095 etc.

Hi! If you are doing the K1 visa, K2's will not have an alien number. The K2's alien number will be assigned after you apply for the green card. It will be provided in the notice of receipt for the AOS or greencard
I would recommend that you apply under the married name because it is a strong proof of the marriage. Pictures and bank account are just back up plans for proof of legitimacy of marriage.

Hello! No, your Alien number is yours only. Your K2 will be assigned an alien number once uscis receives you adjustment of status. They will indicate the K2's alien number in the receipt notice. Put N/A for now for your K2.

Hi there! I only filled out 1 original I-864 form. The original form went in with my packet. And then I photocopied that original form, and the photocopy went in with my K2's packet. You're very welcome!

@@eberejoy1789 got it! Yeah, if you came to the US at the same time, you'll need separate I-485 and work authorization. For the affidavit of support, the K1 will have the original filled out form and your K2 can just photocopy that.

Hello sis! Rule of thumb, always use the legal name. If ang legal name na ni mom mo is yung married name nya, yun ang gagamitin. Unless stipulated otherwise sa instructions. Best of luck sa inyong application! 🙂

Yes she filed in October 2020. She has her green card now and has been working since late last year. Her daughter just arrived last month and if I use the original I-864 its about 2 years old. Does USCIS want the original I-864 or does it state in their website that it has to be the original?
Hello your step daughter will need her own I864 not a copy of her moms because they did not file concurently. Your step daughter is filing separate from her mom at this point.

No, just the I-864 form. I did not send the financial evidences twice. I did not make copies of the finncial evidences. Me and my K2 shared the same evidences (except for the personal - like passport, birth cert. Etc)

@@CyndiParo Form I864 total of 5 household, the USCIS will check the three years tax or just the recent year? So we will know If we still need the joint sponsor? For minimum income this year pasok naman sa required poverty guideline for 5 household, however not the last three years of tax.

Hello! Im good, thanks! Yes, absolutely! After you arrive in the US and get married (within 90 days upon arrival) you can apply for AOS with your daughter as a derivative applicant because she is your K2. Provided your K2 arrived in the US before his or her 21st bday.

I guess the paralegal is worried that your K2 might age out before your K1 visa is approved due to long process times. If your K2 ages out prior to arriving to the US then that is a different story. If your K1 visa is approved and your K2 arrives to the US before the 21st birthday then the K2 can adjust the status with you.

Hello! Just to confirm my understanding, you didn't file your K2's AOS together with yours when you filed last year? If yes, I-485 can be filed concurrently with I-131 and I-765 BUT I believe the fees for each form are separate now vs last year. To be 100% sure visit the USCIS fee calculator. 🙂

Hello! Even before we flew out to the US, I already reached out to the school via email. They emailed me back with a list of requirements that I need to secure from the school back in the Ph.
A couple of weeks after we arrived in the States, we met with the school admin and they have him enrolled the same day. After a week, he started scchool.

What is the envelope size you used for the different forms as well as the big one to hold everything?
Hi! I started with a manila envelope to hold and separate all the forms. Then those envelopes are placed in a clasp envelope that is just the right size for the bulk of the manila envelope. Then all clasp envelopes i placed in a huge usps mailing envelope. Trust your judgement. Theres no standard size. Just make sure your docs can fit alright and not crumpled in the envelopes.

Hi! Yeah, so I only filled out one I-864. I then photocopied the one I filled out and attached the copy to my sons packet.

We were never given a form DS 3025 during the medical examination abroad. They simply gave us a sealed envelope only to be opened by US Customs officer. Hello! It would be very similar to what we submitted. The difference is your K2 will have to have an original I-485, not just a photocopy of yours.

Hi! A number is necessary in the AOS form. I researched online where you can look it up but it seems to me that if you entered the US with a K1 visa only NOA2 can give you the info. Did your husband enter the US with a K1 visa? If yes, you might wan to call USCIS to obtain the alien number.

Hello! Just a disclaimer I am not a tax expert but what I was told was, tax returns can potentially miss out on some important tax items. The tax transcript is complete and is a summary of your tax returns + W2 + 1095 etc.
Personally, I always over prepare because we personally experienced an RFE on our I-129F application. It's a pain so I don't want to go through that again. 🙂

Hi! If you are doing the K1 visa, K2's will not have an alien number.
The K2's alien number will be assigned after you apply for the green card. It will be provided in the notice of receipt for the AOS or greencard
Should i apply under her old name or wait till i get the new married name? Also the application says nothing about pictures or bank account.
I would recommend that you apply under the married name because it is a strong proof of the marriage.
Pictures and bank account are just back up plans for proof of legitimacy of marriage.

Hello! No, your Alien number is yours only. Your K2 will be assigned an alien number once uscis receives you adjustment of status. They will indicate the K2's alien number in the receipt notice.

Yes she filed in October 2020. She has her green card now and has been working since late last year. Her daughter just arrived last month and if I use the original I-864 its about 2 years old. Does USCIS want the original I-864 or does it state in their website that it has to be the original?
Hello your step daughter will need her own I864 not a copy of her moms because they did not file concurently. Your step daughter is filing separate from her mom at this point.

No, just the I-864 form. I did not send the financial evidences twice. I did not make copies of the finncial evidences. Me and my K2 shared the same evidences (except for the personal - like passport, birth cert. Etc)

I thought on the k1 application form the kids are automatically included for a visa along with me. Im a k1 visa applicant with 2 kids
K1 visa, yes. If you write your kids name in the application as your children, they are automatically added as your K2.
But for the greencard or adjustment of status, it's gonna be separate applications.

@@CyndiParo Form I864 total of 5 household, the USCIS will check the three years tax or just the recent year? So we will know If we still need the joint sponsor? For minimum income this year pasok naman sa required poverty guideline for 5 household, however not the last three years of tax.

Yes, absolutely! After you arrive in the US and get married (within 90 days upon arrival) you can apply for AOS with your daughter as a derivative applicant because she is your K2. Provided your K2 arrived in the US before his or her 21st bday.

I guess the paralegal is worried that your K2 might age out before your K1 visa is approved due to long process times. If your K2 ages out prior to arriving to the US then that is a different story.
If your K1 visa is approved and your K2 arrives to the US before the 21st birthday then the K2 can adjust the status with you.

Hello! Just to confirm my understanding, you didn't file your K2's AOS together with yours when you filed last year?
If yes, I-485 can be filed concurrently with I-131 and I-765 BUT I believe the fees for each form are separate now vs last year. To be 100% sure visit the USCIS fee calculator. 🙂
