I just wanted to thank everyone that helped make Merlin possible, because it really has been a big part of my life. I feel like I've grown up with Merlin, and although I'm sad that it is coming to an end, I'm thankful that we got the 5 years that we did. Good luck to the actors who are probably now going off onto their own paths and thank you all for changing my life for the better. I'll miss you Merlin!

I've been watching this show with my kid and my Mom. Sad as we are to learn we will no longer be entertained by you next year, we'd love to thank you all Colin, Bradley, Katie, Angel, all cast n crews, for your hardwork on Merlin. Your show has values, love, and education most tv these days lack of, and it has proven that it doesnt take sex and violence to make it big worldwide.

I totally agree with you, at least 1 season more, that Arthur didn't die in that episode, so we could see if Magic was allowed in Camelot. Guinever seemed happy about Merlin's true nature, so she could accept Magic in Camelot... They have to keep being creative, please, we need more seasons to know what happened after Arthur's death
. . . it also changes completely the way we see Morgana, because Morgana was turned in the same way - presumably by Morgause. In the last episode she said she spent two years chained in a pit!
Me and my best friend are SO going to do this one.
It's looking back on moments like this that make me feel like Arthur really doesn't SEE what Merlin has done for him, what he has taught him. And I hope beyond hope that when the time comes for Arthur to find out about his magic, he'll finally treat Merlin with the respect and honour that he has deserved since the very beginning.

Gwen went "bad" before her brother died, she just acted like she cared and was quite happy that he died as you can see in his funeral. I'm sure she knows Morgana is Arthur's sister.
Would you guys ever consider doing a competition where people introduce a sentence to the next series' script and you guys somehow manage to incorporate it in an episode? =P

I do view Morgana as more of a tragic hero than a villain myself. =)
I believe Gwen turned to the dark side because her brother died when Arthur sent them to go and find Gwen in The Dark Tower. Gwen has lost EVERYONE in her family due to the Pendragon family and thus probably now wants everyone on the throne dead.
Remember, Gwen doesn't know Morgana is Arthur's brother.
Also, it does show you just how fragile people are when scared and will turn to anyone if alone because it is human nature to seek out companionship.
No amount of mandrake roots should corrupt Gwen that far into completely disregarding her love for Arthur. We didn't watch 4 seasons of all that getting built up only to be ruined by one episode. And even if she does get free, it's too late because she's already betrayed and that will never be forgiven. I can't ever look at Gwen the same way again. She already screwed up with Lancelot but we all know that was gonna happen and she was really messed up with magic, mandrakes can't control like that
I dont think Morgana's hatred for all things Camelot was natural however much she despised Uther. She changed very suddenly after her time away in Morgause clutches although I know she was turning gradually before that - but never before she met Morgause. It seems clear that she too went through the mandrake "Guantanamo" experience

Well Morgana didn't fall in love with the son of Uther. Morgana just got filled with natural hate towards him. Gwen didn't really like Uther, but she loves and can see the good in Arthur.
and BTW they said Merlin is going to end. that doesnt mean they arent going to make other Arthurian legend series with another main character like the avengers did. :D!!!
They arent that stupid to just stop making the arthurian legend series when it is so populair.

I think she only said it so Gwen feels bit more sorry for her - to gain Gwen's trust a bit, C'mon! "Sister this, sister that" - and yes, as Gaius said they were sisters! So I don't believe mandrakes has anything to do with Morgana's evil ways! That's just my opinion.
I'm sorry to pester, but when are we getting the result for this? We've been waiting for two days over the announcement date now :(

Season 5 is terrible because they made Gwen is a bad guy now. 4 seasons of her leading up to be the epic queen she was always meant to be only to be ruined by one stupid episode. That isn't "dark" or "mature." It's just silly and it makes us all feel bad.
