Did you have to adjust the rear spring when installing? I’m in the process now and have the back together but the back spring isn’t touching while the car is jacked up.
@@chriswilburn8456 I screwed the shock up a little to hold the spring in place. Used the shock as a stop point for the suspension dropping down if that makes senses
@@mikeekimg7204 thanks for the response man. I actually just looked up divorced coilovers and found a tutorial that was able to set me up. I appreciate you! Car looks amazing and hopefully mine will be sitting pretty in a couple hours
I would highly recommend shortening the sway bar end links. After going past 2" your swaybars start to turn upward no longer level. You want them as parallel flat to the ground as possible. If you need a bit more stiffer bar you can drill a hole 1" inward giving them more leverage.🤔😉👍
When you installed these did you get any weird knocking noise? I have a 2013 awd ats wanting to put coilovers and a few people are saying they have knocking and no matter what they do they cant seem to get rid of it. Im assuming they just didnt check everything or maybe they are so low they are bottoming out the coilover. Any feedback would be appreciated and ik its a different car but i might have to try the megan racing coils
I never had knocking from anywhere on my car before or after the coilovers install I think your Buddys might have a bad diff Bushings or something else wrong with there car
@@chrisreynolds2410 I used Megan racing but they suck I would save and got with a higher spring rate and probably go with BC or something like that, and definitely do bigger sway bars the car needs it
@@mikeekimg7204 does the air suspension try to lift the rear up? I've heard you have to get spacers so the rear doesn't think there's a heavy load in the truck and try to lift and level itself out.. might just be for spring install though.. i was looking at these same coil overs for my V1 so I'm wondering .
@@mikeekimg7204 so I found out u only need the spacers if you lower the car and use oem shocks with a spring kit.. Another question.. did you have to put a suspension resistors after lowering the car so a error code didn't pop up? Just asking because I plan to lower my car in a few weeks. Thank you.
I slapped 19 inch Diablos on mine. With the skinniest low profile tire on the market. No scrapes at all even full u turns. 👍
Man, I bet your ride quality went to dirt after that.
@@henryfeige8596 i thought it would. But it didn't. Those tires give it better performance. Especially on sharp turns. Because of the width.
@@erniecarrasco9107 That is surprising! I don't know if I am gonna do it in the future but I bet it looks awesome.
@@henryfeige8596 it's looks bad ass. My son is a junior in High School and it's a 5 speed so all the school loves it!
The double glasses had me dyin lmfaooo. I gotta come see it slide.
you have 238 subs but this video is better and more informational than some people with 1mill
Looks great man!
Thanks!!!
would you recommend these? or would bc coils be much better? i just don’t want to mess the car up
BC coils is the way to go

I’ve never installed a set up like this so it’s really screwing with my head

My coilovers didn’t require me to use the stock spring rubber piece. It came flat with its own foam padding to place in between.
Slammed! Looks great man! I want a gen 1V so bad
thank you!! its so much fun!! start saving and get one

Im wondering what size sway bars you would recommend for this set of coilovers? Might just buy the coilovers and sway bars all at once
3/4”
Hey Mike...Are those Stock Caddy Wheels...and if so what year is it ?
By the way...Its Dope as HELL !
yes stock caddy wheels and its a 2005.
Thank you!!
When you lower that did you have to do anything to the stock sway bars
nope, everything worked perfect on it

How's the suspension doing now, if you still have the same?
I sold the car cuz im moving and I would go with a more expensive coilover just cuz the Magen ones felt a little soft to me.
What do coilovers do?
Any tips on a brand?

How low did you drop it
like 3 inches roughly
Running the stock tire size?
yeah but it needs to go bigger for more control I would say a 265 would be better
Will these fit the sts4?
to be honest I really don't know man im sorry
I'm making a v6 drift caddy
