I played this one once. I can't usually focus on your average deckbuilder, but this felt really accessible. I have no general idea of what I have in a deck of cards due to how varied the cards are with different keywords and abilities, but these pieces have such little information on them that I can actually concentrate. I will say I LOVE the theme.
Haha, you explaining this game sounds a bit like one of your dairy card game skits. I love Altiplano, and once you play it, most of it makes a lot of intuitive sense. But it is one of those games that requires a lot of front-loading. However, since everything is out in the open anyway, I recommend just giving players a basic outline of the gameflow and then providing the details as you play. Also, try to keep them from overthinking and let them just go for something that looks like fun. That way, the first game will go quickly and they may want to play again. Because, while I love this game, it is SO long. I like its gameplay and theme better than Orléans, but that game is streamlined a lot better. And like Sungwon says, those last rounds can get rather repetitive as well. Does anybody have an idea for a variant that decreases game length?
Herr Stockhausen also created 'Orleans', which, while a predecessor, I feel is superior. One major difference is that each tile you use and the new ones you obtain go back in the bag, rather than in a 'discard'. I highly recommend it.
Hey dude I know not a board game comment but I just played boyfriend dungeon, quite a fun time honestly, it was cool finding out you had a hand in it! Always happy to see you doing more stuff it still blows my mind you where in borderlands 3

I’ll never be ready to hear that lake name no matter what I do
Having a Minecraft version of this game would fit perfectly
