- The official video for the Paris Olympics opening ceremony has been deleted after causing backlash.
The ceremony included a parody of the Last Supper which has been criticised by some Christians, and was topped off with technical hitches heavy rain.

Also, according to an article on The Wrap by Stephanie Kaloi the Paris Olympics Producers said that the Last Supper inspired the opening ceremony and "many have done it before."

The scene is NOT a reference at all to the Last Supper. Rather, the performance is a nod to a pagan celebration featuring Dionysus, the Greek god of fertility, wine and revelry.

The ceremony piece had no referral to the Jesus or last supper. Indeed it was a referral to the painting of the Dutch painter Jan Harmens van Bilerta called A Feast of Gods, portraying crowned Apollo in the middle of the table and a Vakh Dionis (a figure of vine and pleasure god) in the front. People should learn art…
