I received my Cookham Manor yesterday and i am impressed! Love the sound variations in the running sound (it puts my Marklin Flying Scotsman sound to shame 🙂)

I do hope their version will have that nice 'shine' that the real one has.

Excellent video thank you. The model loco is also excellent - the sound file though is very poor. The sound is set at its highest and it gets drowned out by my other locos.
If the model loco sounded like your video, I would be very pleased.

Looks and sounds amazing. I do wonder though, since obviously heritage railways can't run at full line speed, how the upper speed range is replicated on the sound file.

    hi all at hornby
yet another great video behind the scenes of how sound projects are made for dcc sound files.
and again so wish accurascale would bring this loco out on n gauge aswell as the new deltic on n gauge.

Great video. Mark a steam engine has a whistle not a horn as mentioned in the commo

Great video, particularly the "full bore" departure.
Please note though Mark - steam locos have whistles not horns !!!!

Great video I hope this model doesn't sell too quickly the only reason why is that I hope to get one 2-3 months down the line

Pulling away too fast. Should have more acceleration momentum.

lets face it another expensive chuff, chuff sounding loco,(steel helmet is now on for the barrage of fire) As much as I like the Manor do we really need it as has been done twice already? plus the sound file sounds to light to me more base needed I have a40yro Mainline Manor working on my own BR(W) Layout and would put it up against this any day.

This might be my cynical view, but it's both 'chicken' and 'egg'; the RTR manufacturers make GWR and BR(W) models, because that's what the market wants; but at the same time, the market wants GWR and BR(W) models, because those are the only thing the RTR manufacturers make in great quantity- meantime, those of us who model the LNER constantly have to go for kit-building and kit-bashing if we want some diverse models for 'our' side of the Big Four.

@@TallboyDave Totally agree am a Western man through and through but there are other fine locos from the big 4 and BR time so with the price of living today that is why I have asked do we need another manor? plus steam sound files never sound right to me but that can be said for some diesel sound files also.
