Thanks! Fabulous video! I have never, ever seen such a clear, concise, comprehensive, enjoyable video and I've watched a zillion videos! I really enjoyed it and I learned SO MUCH!!! You're right, the manual falls short of complete instructions. Just bought one of these and can't wait to try it. Bought it from Kohl's for about $160 during Black Friday sale. I make a lot of hummus and salsa verde and a lot of other things. I've subscribed and I'm going to watch ALL your videos. Have fun in your kitchen!
Wow, thank you SO MUCH-for the kind words and your Super Thanks (it's my first one ever 🥹)!! I appreciate it all more than you know 💛 I didn't get a chance to include footage in this video, but the Custom 14 makes really smooth hummus. It should be a good appliance for you especially in that regard!
Very thorough and helpful review! I think Cuisinart should include a link to your helpful assembly instructions in their manual, since they left out very key information! 😏 I was laughing so hard at the "DFPS"! If I decide to purchase this food processor, I'll be sure to purchase a DFPS along with it! 🤣 Thanks for a great review. Now I want to replace my old, secondhand processor, which has very dull blades and is rarely used because of that.
Thank you; I'm glad it was helpful! I'd be happy to offer Cuisinart's team some pointers if they ever rewrite the manual ;) And who knows, maybe I'll get to host a DFPS giveaway some day 😂
Great video! I watched your unboxing a few months ago. Then visited a friend who has a smaller sized Cuisinart unit. Hers was noisy compared to yours. Plus my mom had one from "back in the 80's/ 90's", I remember it was quiet back then too!😊 I currently have a small Black & Decker, the shredder disc is now compromised.😢 So for now until it conks out completely I'll keep dreaming of getting the 14 cp Cuisinart. (I have it saved in my shopping cart too!)😊 Thanks for sharing your 1 year review of a great product!❤
I've wondered about the difference in noise between the smaller units and this one, but I didn't want to buy a second food processor to find out, so thank you for sharing that bit of info! And thank you for watching! I hope the Cuisinart works well for you when the time comes to upgrade 💛
This was a very detailed and thorough review! I've been looking to buy a food processor but I've been very skeptical, especially about it taking a lot of space. You mention a lot of points that I would have never considered and now I'm definitely thinking about. I love that it can make dough, especially since I made a TON of dough and sometimes I don't want to use my KitchenAid. Thank you for this video! So appreciated!
Yay, I'm so glad this video was helpful for you! I still haven't tried to make brioche in it yet, but it's on my list. It has just been so wonderful and quiet when making pizza dough that I just keep making more pizza with it 😂
I was becoming concerned when the “6 month” review hit the 8 month mark. “Almost a year” does sound better 🤣! Thank you for the well-done review, though it did seem the review contained more “cons” during the review than at the beginning. Nothing to dissuade me from purchasing it should it ever come up on sale. The link you had “expired” (for lack of a better word) some time ago. The latest link goes to refurbished or “like-new” processors. Thankfully I found a link that’s been pretty steady for awhile, though it isn’t in “white” like your model, plus it goes on sale at the most inopportune times. It was recently on sale for $198 for about 4 days, long after “Prime Day” and when my funds were tied up in other purchases. Hopefully 🤞 it goes on sale on Black Friday this year 🤞! $50 off seems like such a deep discount 🤣 especially when there are so many extras one can buy that don’t come with it. As a side note, I’m getting closer to making the marshmallows! I have all the ingredients and tools, just having problems with procrastination and getting my own channel off the ground (have one video ready to go- I’m reviewing a slot machine 🤣!! Need to figure out how to post from my phone… or if I need to download it to my desktop to do so). My reviews will be on each piece used in the process individually, not just the mixing bowl. Wish me luck. 👀
Turns out it takes a lot longer to process and film dozens of different foods (and actually eat it all!) than I thought it would 😅 My goal is always to share well-rounded reviews-with legitimate pros and cons-so that people know exactly what to expect and can plan accordingly, because we all have different priorities when it comes to kitchen appliances :) Thanks for the info about the link! I believe that's because Cuisinart has discontinued the white model; it hasn't been available on their website for months now, unfortunately. I updated the description to include another link for the black stainless steel version. I think it should go on sale again at Black Friday! Oh, yay! If you download the RUclips Studio app, you should be able to upload straight from your phone :)
Thanks for this thorough review. Can you confirm if the standard parts it comes with (the 2 discs & post/blade) fit/store inside the bowl? I've only found 1 article source that says it does. But haven't found anything that says it doesn't. Appreciate your help!
Ooh, I had never thought of that. I just tried, and I can fit every accessory inside the bowl, including the dough blade! With the disc stem horizontal, the two discs are able to lay flat on top of the blade, so they don't wobble. And there's just enough room to fit a dough blade on the other side of the stem, too :)
@@FloralApronBlog That is amazing! Thank you for reporting back. I'm guessing there wouldn't be room for any additional discs outside of the 2 included, in the case another one was purchased. Is that your guess also?
@laurentaylor2019 you're welcome! I think you could actually fit two more pretty easily (for a total of four discs) if you are able to lay the discs flat on top of the blade and dough blade. If the dough blade isn't in the bowl, the discs tend to tilt over pretty significantly, so the one side of the disc is much higher in the bowl. But I think putting the lid back on would help to right them so you could fit four anyway!
I'm thinking about getting the dicing attachment kit , but I can't tell if the DP 13 kit fits the DP-14 food processor. Do you have any info or thoughts on this? Thanks for a great review.
I'm glad I can help! If the item you're talking about is the dicing kit for the Core Custom food processor (this one: www.cuisinart.com/core-custom-accessories-dicing-kit-accessory/FP-DCP1.html), I don't believe it will fit the Custom 14. The center console/attachment/connector looks like it's a taller, different shape with a blade lock feature on the top, which the Custom 14 doesn't have. (Though if that's not the item you meant, please let me know! Everything I search for with "DP13" or "DP-13" only pulls up products for the Core Custom.) Cuisinart has a list of the compatible parts for the Custom 14 on their website here: www.cuisinart.com/custom-14-cup-food-processor/DFP-14BCNY.html?cgid=partsaccessories_foodprocessors

You're welcome! 💛
I tried this one but i love the Breville more because of the adjustable slicer and build quality.
I'm glad you have a food processor that fits your needs! I wish there was an adjustable slicing disc for this model, but I'm happy with it overall :)
