Thank you Matt Fred for posting this beautiful n touching ceremony of these two lovely sisters becoming mothers.God bless them specially for their great sacrifice of renouncing the things of this world to become His bride. It was indeed something I cherished watching.God Bless .
Thank you for sharing! It’s wonderful for me as a Protestant to learn about the Catholic Church and the history of the Byzantine Eastern Church! The holiness of your traditions and monasticism is a great example for us all. I heard a great explanation that monastic living is for those who love Christ so much they desire every day to be like Sunday. I never understood this until I attended the Divine Liturgy. Come and See.
I had no idea people that weren't part of the church were allowed to be present at the Divine Liturgy? I say this as a non-member and as someone interested in the church, but very little knowledge
Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory Forever! Thank you for showing the Divine Liturgy & Life Professions! Mother Natalia & Mother Petra: May you be saved in the Angelic Rank!
Glory be to Jesus Christ! This Divine Liturgy had be bawling like a baby! Such an inspiration and an encouragement to see such pure, unfiltered, wholehearted devotion to our Lord and His church. I came back to the church in May, I was drawn to orthodoxy but God reminded me of the Byzantine Church. I was away from the church for 17 years, a lapsed Roman Catholic. I was apart of the OCA and Ukrainian Orthodox Church for a bit, but moved to evangelical Protestantism and eventually graduated from a Bible college with a theology degree from the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. The Greek of John 6 kept gnawing away at me, then I dove into the Patristics and just couldn’t deny the true church. I made my full confession in May but kept hearing the voice to come east and am now apart of the Ukrainian Catholic Church.
@Sirius it's sad, their hair were too long and pretty and they had to cut even though Jesus never said such thing 😥 (Quran 7:172-174): "And ˹remember˺ when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them testify regarding themselves. ˹Allah asked,˺ “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are! We testify.” ˹He cautioned,˺ “Now you have no right to say on Judgment Day, ‘We were not aware of this.’Nor say, ‘It was our forefathers who had associated others ˹with Allah in worship˺ and we, as their descendants, followed in their footsteps. Will you then destroy us for the falsehood they invented?’ ”This is how We make our signs clear, so perhaps they will return ˹to the Right Path˺."
@Sirius (Quran 3:78): "And there is a party among them (the people of the book) who twist their tongues while reciting the Book to make you think that it is part of the Book when in fact it is not. They say: 'It is from Allah'(God) when in fact it is not from Allah. They falsely fix a lie upon Allah, and do so wittingly."
@Sirius Ever thought what happened to the Abraham's son Ishmael and the promise of God for him? (Genesis 17:20): "And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation." (Quran 2:136): "Say, [O believers], "We have believed in Allāh(God) and what has been revealed to us(Quran) and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants [al-Asbāṭ] and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." (Quran 5:66): "If only they [i.e. Christians] had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course, but many of them follow a course that is evil" (Quran:4:171): "Oh People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion, nor say of God anything but the truth. Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, was (no more than) a messenger of God, and His Word which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him. So believe in God and His messengers. Say not, 'Trinity.' Desist! It will be better for you, for God is One God, Glory be to Him! (Far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is God as a Disposer of affairs" We believe in all the prophets but the only difference is that we believe Jesus as the prophet of the God ( God whom you people call the father) we believe in absolute oneness of God whom no eyes have ever seen and to him belongs all the power. (Quran 5:82): "And you will certainly find that the people most hostile against the believers are the Jews and the ones who ascribe partners to Allah. You will certainly find that the closest of them in friendship with the believers are those who say, “We are Christians.”That is because among them there are priests and monks, and because they are not arrogant." I pray may God guide us all to the truth😊
In the famous words of Sviatoslav of Kyiv "We are an Orthodox Church, with Orthodox theology. liturgy and spirituality and canonical tradition that chooses to manifest this Orthodoxy in the spirit of the first Christian millenium in Communion with Rome".
things i would like to address: 1. they are orthodox churches in communion with rome 2. just because they use the same rite most of the eastern orthodox use, they're imitating the orthodox, they don't. 3. then tell the antiochian orthodox western rite vicariate to stop imitating latin catholics, because they use western rites, just like the catholics use too. we won't, because we respect the orthodox.
@Donna Graham how can a church believing in orthodox dogmas and teachings be in communion with church of Rome, which has different dogmas? Isn't that weird?

10:07 is where it begins
Is this Catholic or Orthodox. I'm confused.
I found out what type of Catholic this church is, Byzantine Catholic. May have spelled it wrong.
Are these traditions and acts commanded by Jesus himself in the bible?
Nope! This is a catholic cult ritual.
So it's an innovation?? Why do people do this then??

*vanity*
Multiple spoons? Absolutely no faith. How embarrassing. You profess to believe it is the Body and Blood, yet you treat it as if someone can get sick?
What?
Please stop mimicking Orthodoxy.
