I also watch Drew, The Lone Fox. I remember when he did his marbling. This kitchen island now looks absolutely fabulous. I wasn’t a fan of the epoxy finish and remember thinking at the time you did that, oh dear that is going to stain. Just something on top of the island now, maybe a bowl of fruit or a riser with a candle and other bits to make a vignette. ❤
Oh Karri I should say no but you did SUCH A GOOD JOB! Definitely do the others maybe when the kids go back to school. It adds so much texture and interest to the kitchen

We all learn from trial and error. I once had a island on wheels and began to experiment with paint and it all failed. Then I took all my single plates, saucers, mugs and extra tiles and hammer them to pieces and got all my frustration out. Then I placed the pieces with plastered on the table and it turn out amazing. Yours came out stunning.

It is gorgeous! You would never know it wasn't real marble. Yes you need to do the rest of kitchen. Glad your daughter was into it too. Yrs ago, I did my walls white/ brown/ beige Walmart bag. I still love it.

Your island countertop is Stunning! It looks like a very expensive piece of marble that you purchased and had professionally installed. YES, you should do the rest of your countertops a complimentary solid darker color. Not black, but a light brownish color with a very small amount of the whitish brush strokes. Let the marble island stand alone on its own! You are very talented. Thank you for sharing!
I definitely need to redo our countertops as well! When we bought our home in 2015, I faux painted our countertops a white Carrera marble look. It was beautiful! I sealed it with epoxy. Same issue as you- over the years, the white was stained to a yellow like how tea and coffee stain teeth, gotten gummy in some areas, peeled off and chipped... Just gross. So until we spend the money to redo our kitchen, I think a new finish is on the horizon! Definitely paying attention to what you are doing for inspiration and suggestions. I really like Lone Fox's channel as well! His style is gorgeous and cozy.

My dogs also were petrified of thunder storms...shaking & panting, etc. I started giving them hemp oil for dogs & this really helped calm them down. My girls are gone but seeing your girl so scared brought back memories. Thank you for sharing this video. The island looks great!
