The issue with the mild hybrid XC40 is that the rated fuel consumption (combined) @ 9L/100kmh , is really only equal to or slightly better than my wife's CLA250 , which has a turbocharged 2L engine. The GLA can easily get up to 8.8L/100km on a combined drive (city and hwy). So the only benefit I find in the volvo mild hybrid technology is the more instant take off from start, which the small battery powering the hybrid engine, can provide.
Comparing a Volvo with a Mercedes, it's like comparing a banana with a lemon :D come on. p.s. the banana is the Volvo, it's sweet :D
@@ElPierdolito what kind of an objective reply is that? I am just comparing the hybrid engine fuel consumption of the X40 against the turbocharged engine in the GLA. What's wrong with that? And my point was that the hybrid engine does not seem to be better in fuel economy than my gas combustion engine in the GLA.
The side steps thing, I don't know how it's called, really does not fit the car. But, ty for the video!
