I love the bag, but I have one with this chain and honestly, As good as it looks the chain, it really annoys me and if you wear the bag for a long time it hurts.
That is exactly what I thought. A lot of bags with chain strap have a more comfortable shoulder rest. If you would be using for a full day in London you will pack more gear than normal and the weight would hurt and possibly bruise.

I love the color and shape of the bag! It also doesn't look like anything else you have! The fun thing with a chunky chain is that you could also thread a ribbon through when you want to change it up! I'm very minimal with my bags, so I only ever own three at a time. One of my bags doesn't have quite as chunky of a metal chain, but it's rose gold and I loved that at the time. Several years later now, it sometimes looks super "extra" to me, so I've hooked charms onto the chain. For PRIDE, I threaded a rainbow ribbon through it and now I've do that occasionally to change it up.
Yellow is such a beautiful color. And with the gold chunky chain it fits your style so perfectly! Black is nice but at the same time it gets boring to all ways have dark colors in your wardrobe. Having a nice yellow for summers to come is just perfect.

I think that the bag isn't a keeper- Aside from personal taste, I think that if you're getting it as a "replacement" to the Hermes- it's completely missing the mark. The color is way different, and I think the green undertone will make it harder to pair, and the muted tone of it misses the mark on being an I'm your face statement. And it's also not a classy shape like the Hermes is. It's 100% a trendy bag, and that's not what you said you're looking for right now.
Love the bag! The colour and shape are beautiful and fits with almost any colour or style of clothing. It is a nice departure from the other bags. The chunky chain handles are so elegant looking. At some point, you could always purchase a leather strap to change it up a bit. My vote is to keep it.
I literally gasped when I saw the color. It’s BEAUTIFUL. please keep it. Especially if you know you already love the color. And it’s not a replacement or placeholder for the Birkin. It’s a test for the color!

Please keep it. Yellow is actually very easy to style with practically everything. I have a few yellow bags because of this. Particularly if you are a gold jewellery wearer. I think the bag will become and diamond in the rough down the track and an amazing investment piece. The strap you can change around.

My concern with the bag would be that surely if it rains heavy it would end up running into the bag itself? As you can see the cracks between the woven pieces of leather.

I think it can definitely be a one and done! Especially knowing you can use the Airwrap to take your hair from wet to damp and then utilise it to style from damp to dry which also then helps your style to last longer! xx

It does look roomy and like it could get heavy pretty quickly. I think the body of the bag is really cool and interesting, the chain is the part that has me torn.

I am actually not much of yellow bag fan, BUT I think that bag looks really good on you! I was unsure until you put it on with your outfit, then that swayed me. When you opened the bag I noticed that there were some gaps and I don’t want any of your stuff to slip through them, hope that makes sense. A friend of mine had a bag with the heavy chain handles, (she loves her bags also). Over time she found that it weighed really heavily over her shoulder causing a lot of discomfort. She sold it in the end. It was an Australian brand (Oroton).

I was only using the drier and and brush attachments and love the Dyson demo !!!! Will defo pull out the other attachments! About the bag, I kind of think that if you don’t love it don’t keep it, I can understand it might be a bit harder to get excitement about new bags with how many you have but still think how many jackets and coats you have and remember how excited you were about the pink and beige coat, it’s cute but if you don’t love it, is it worth the money ?

I'm a big fan of the padded cassette, but I'm not sure about the chain strap. On one hand, it is a beautiful statement and replaces the need for any jewelry/will really elevate a simple outfit, but that means it might be too much when paired with any additional jewelry? It depends on how you plan to wear it whether or not that makes a difference though. Maybe doing a try on with a couple of your different go-to outfits, accessories and all, will help with the decision =)

I like the bag. I think it's a unique piece, but I'm concerned about how it will age. I feel that as time goes on, the corners of the leather squares along the perimeter will end up curling. The sales rep at Bottega Veneta also mentioned this as a concern.
Based on the title and all the comments I was expecting this extreme bag.. It's just a bag xd, I've seen tons like it on the high street. Other than the thick "probably anoying" chain there's nothing really special about it to be honest. It's that type of oversized bags that went along with the puffer jacket trend for the past few years. Yellow, however is definitely one of the colors of the season and there's definitely more stunning ones out that if you're looking for a fun pop of color!! And if its even a question if you want to keep it then it's not worth 3 grand. With the right bag it's love at first sight without doubt

If you really want a Birkin in yellow amber(?) which is presumably a warm yellow, will the very unclassic Bottega (and I say that as a huge fan of old Bottega) in that chartreuse really scratch the itch?
A friend of mine had a bag with the heavy chain handles, (she loves her bags also). Over time she found that it weighed really heavily over her shoulder causing a lot of discomfort. She sold it in the end. It was an Australian brand (Oroton).

The bag is a yes from me. Although it could be seen as a trend piece the design in some way feels quite timeless to me. The question to ask yourself is will you get a lot of wear out of it because the colour I think and this is coming form a person who LOVES yellow xo
I was only using the drier and and brush attachments and love the Dyson demo !!!! Will defo pull out the other attachments! About the bag, I kind of think that if you don’t love it don’t keep it, I can understand it might be a bit harder to get excitement about new bags with how many you have but still think how many jackets and coats you have and remember how excited you were about the pink and beige coat, it’s cute but if you don’t love it, is it worth the money ?
In my opinion, that bag is amazing and unique! It could brighten up a more casual look and make it look colorful and more stylish
Love the yellow bag! Don’t return it! Style it with black and white/ navy/ plain white outfits you’ll be fine! The gold does stand out but that’s what makes it unique ♥️ you hve so many classic bags you can afford a statement piece here and there

I'm a big fan of the padded cassette, but I'm not sure about the chain strap. On one hand, it is a beautiful statement and replaces the need for any jewelry/will really elevate a simple outfit, but that means it might be too much when paired with any additional jewelry? It depends on how you plan to wear it whether or not that makes a difference though. Maybe doing a try on with a couple of your different go-to outfits, accessories and all, will help with the decision =)
I love the shape, texture and colour of the bag, I'm just not sure on the chain part. It looks like it would be quite painful/ difficult to pair with outfits. I think with a different strap the bag would be perfect! xx

Stay safe I really want too invest in a Dyson it would help my hair so much with out using excessive heat. That bag is actually really cute especially during the cold season it would be a great pop of color along with an all black outfit or nude chunky sweater with denim jeans and some boots.
The bag is pretty, and no matter what we tell you, what you think matters most. If the larger chain can be removed maybe you could find a different one. The bag looked nice on you.
I'm not fond of the bag, but what matters are your feelings about it. You don't seem sold on it, so you might want to send it back. I also love yellow, but that might me a difficult shade to style.

I like the bag. I think it's a unique piece, but I'm concerned about how it will age. I feel that as time goes on, the corners of the leather squares along the perimeter will end up curling. The sales rep at Bottega Veneta also mentioned this as a concern.

Based on the title and all the comments I was expecting this extreme bag.. It's just a bag xd, I've seen tons like it on the high street. Other than the thick "probably anoying" chain there's nothing really special about it to be honest. It's that type of oversized bags that went along with the puffer jacket trend for the past few years. Yellow, however is definitely one of the colors of the season and there's definitely more stunning ones out that if you're looking for a fun pop of color!! And if its even a question if you want to keep it then it's not worth 3 grand. With the right bag it's love at first sight without doubt
