    I totally agree. They smell like death on the hoof, but eat better than elk! We truly love your show!

    I grew up on antelope and was the only red meat our family ate until I was 17 and was just over goats and goat hunting. That was until I started watching your channel and got the urge to try it so I nailed one this last season and 1 of 2 things happened. Either my tastes have changed or my mom was not a good cook but I like it now

    Looked good this morning when I watched the video, sounded even better at lunch while traveling to go elk hunting, stopped at DQ instead, maybe it will bring dad and I some luck.

    Im shocked more people are not commenting with the whole "antelope tastes like sage" or "antelope is so gamey" You hit the nail on the head. Pronghorn is amazing and I will honestly say i prefer it to elk 9/10. Great video and i might just go throw some pronghorn sausage on the grill now that my mouth is watering.

      Antelope is delicious as long as it hasn't been run to death and is cooled down immediately. We always take a couple of coolers filled with ice to cool down the meat as soon as possible. It just pisses me off to see a animal not taken care of. It gave its life for us to enjoy. Treat it with respect and enjoy. The fruits of your labor.

      I agree with both comments above. I've run 50+ antelope through my freezer and never had a bad one.

    I have a Traeger grill as well. Absolutely LOVE it! Mainly use Hickory pellets for red meat. I also use MEATER Bluetooth thermometers to cook to perfect temp/doneness. That antelope tenderloin looks amazing. Thanks for sharing your simple recipe.

    I use that Lawry’s myself, good stuff. Will try to find that dog days, mouth watering! Grandpa was a butcher and always said we had to cook up the tenderloins right after the harvest, it was tradition. Well since I learned to butcher from him I try to honor that, good eats.

    Thanks for sharing your "secret family recipe" with the rest of us! For the benefit of your followers (and quite possibly for you as well in case you didn't know this) I just ordered some Dog Day spice rub and just for the heck of it I entered the promo code "Randy" and received 10% off my order!! BONUS!! I can't wait to their seasoning on various cuts of meat and veggies.

    Randy I 100 percent agree with you that antelope is the best meat ever. You hunters out there try it some time!! Take some antelope meat and cut it into 1.5 inch squares and marinate them in Bernstein Italian dressing. Shishkabob them with your favorite veggies and barbecue them up to medium status and season with garlic and onion salt. Eat and you will have thought you went to Heaven!!!!!!!!!

    Randy, I too love antelope but it’s been 30 + years since we went to Wyoming and shot my only one. Yes it’s hard to mess up tenderloins and I too agree simple is better with wild game! But for me the best is wild boar! PS bit Jacques Pepin and Emerald Lagasse are safe for now!

    Randy, What the blue dickins....... Is that green grass in the yard? I was just in Bozeman (from Lewiston Idaho)for the Montana St vs Idaho football game last weekend and it was 100% winter !! And yes I agree, simple is always better on wild game.

  • @tristanmack5779
    @tristanmack5779 5 лет назад

    Wow that looks super delicious!! I am however curious and hoping someone has an answer on here but I've always been told to cook game thoroughly due to bacteria and ect? Obviously it doesn't seem to hurt Randy who knows a lot more than most, but is it only certain game animals that need to be cooked all the way through or? Obviously pigs and mountain lions and animals with trichinosis do, but I am curious about elk deer ect...

    • @michaelbroadhead8155
      @michaelbroadhead8155 5 лет назад

      If you overcook venison(deer, elk, antelope) you ruin it in my opinion. Bison is the same way. Medium rare. I'm 60 years old and eaten wild game my entire life and never had a problem.

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  5 лет назад

      @Michael Broadhead nailed it.

    • @tristanmack5779
      @tristanmack5779 5 лет назад

      Thanks guys good to know! :) I personally like my steaks a little undercooked anyways (meduim rare) but I've always done medium well to well with game due to fear of bacteria and what not in it.

    Hi Randy, got a question for you. Based on your professional experience as a hunter, which state is it that you think has the least people/hunter encounters on public land?

    • @Fresh_Tracks

      Alaska, followed by Nevada.
