I love the fact these guys restored rather than gutted. I always love it when homes are restored to their original (though sometimes improved) character.

Thank you for not effing the house up… That mid-century style resonates so much with a wide variety of people… It’s not for everyone but for minimalists like me it doesn’t get any better👊🏽💯

What a fantastic case study of mid-century style here in Palm Springs, CA! Bravo Atomic Ranch for putting it together and hats off to Alex and Alan for undertaking such a detail oriented project. Even though these homeowners were more familiar with the Art Deco style of Miami, FL, they were able to use their keen sense of style and adapt it to the desert. I heard descriptions from them like "wood and warmth", "interior/exterior continuity", and "blending with the land" which I thought really underscored their respect for the mid-century motif. I look forward to going through the Atomic Ranch video library! Well done.

That's when they were built. And the furniture is meant to continue that period as well. It's similar to restoring American Cars to "period correct" finishing, versus "Restomod".

Large roof over hangs are beautiful and protect the doors, windows and siding from rain and moisture damage.
Water is the enemy of buildings. Architects and home builders need to bring back large roof over hangs
