I was saw this tour too. I saw him across seven different tours over the years and was blessed enough to attend an after show party where he brought out Chaka Khan and George Benson to join him! The guy was an absolute power house of a performer who never disappointed on stage. A musical genius a modern day Mozart gone too soon. 🙏🏽💜
Oh wow that after show would have been amazing! We did attend an after show when it was performing the 21 nights in London, but he didn't show 🙁 Thanks for watching!
Hi Guys. My first concert was in Wembley also in 88, I got to go to two concerts with different people. I also still have my ticket and program. And yes Rachel, Diamonds and pearls was in 92. I saw him in Man city's old football ground, Maine road. I saw him 6 times over 4 decades, my last at Manchester in 2014. I loved seeing you smile throughout that clip Rachel, made me smile too.
He is such a magnetic presence on stage. You get so engrossed in his performance and music that you can't take your eyes off him. For me when I play his music or watch a music video, I completely forget he's gone. What a thing to have been alive when Prince was making music. It was Dec.25th 1983 when the journey started. I received a record player for Xmas but my parents for some reason did not get me any records for it. I couldn't wait to play it so sneaked into my sister's bedroom that night and I borrowed one of hers. It was dark so I didn't know what I was grabbing until I got back to my room. It was the double A-side singles 'Little Red Corvette' and 'All The Critics Love u In New York' I was 9yrs old. I've been a friend since then. I'm glad you enjoyed the video it always makes me feel good when I see people purely enjoying his music. I recommend checking out Prince's performance at the 36th NAACP Image Awards where he accepted the Vanguard Award and then just walked right to the music stage and started playing. Loved it. I think you guys will too Liv4luv 0-(+>
The 3rdeyegirl Hit N Run concerts shouldn't be slept on. They were some of the most enjoyable consistent concerts I saw of his. He was in a happy place. And perhaps even knew they were his arena band swansong...?
2nd Prince concert I went to. Wed. Oct.05/88 Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens Green Section $30 ticket. 1st Prince concert. Sunday Dec.02/84 Grey section $20 ticket. I wore my MJ outfit; what a mistake. I was 12yo surrounded by women trying to look like Appollonia. Sheila opened for him, all I can say is, "DAMN". First
I'm sure 12 year old you didn't know where to look! 😁😁 It's crazy to think that the Lovesexy tour tickets were actually pretty cheap for the type for show it was. You would easily add a zero to the figure these days! Thanks for watching!
Known Prince since late 70s. Missed this tour but saw PRINCE many times since 83 up til 2K @ a 4 HOUR! small unannounced venue and VP basement club benefit complete jam performance show.
That's awesome! Rachel and I did get to go to an after show gig in 2007 but whilst the band were there (and were amazing) Prince himself didn't show. 😔 Thanks for watching!
I think Cat Gover was the only tall-ish lady. I believe she's 5'7 or 5'8 and he always had her wearing flats instead of heels. Shelia is wearing heels but she's like 5'2 or 5'3. His last dancer Damaris Lewis was tall as well, she was a model.
@@RDMusicExchange Yeah he normally did a beautiful guitar solo at that point but you see him strumming a few times and then frustratedly putting his guitar down and telling Miko and Levi what they’ll do instead. Have you seen the New Year’s Eve 1987 show? That’s available now and is a real mix of the Sign o the Times tour with elements that will be later seen in the Lovesexy tour.
I'm an enormous Prince fan. No stars death affected me the way his did, but that's not what I really wanted to say. What I want to say is Australia has some of the most attractive women. I noticed this about 2 yrs ago. Hats off to the ladies of Australia!
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all The Beautiful Queens heavy metal band right now in the earth. They are really really World class musicians. Phenomenal. And they have a lot diehard fans like me😁. The fans called Wolfpack. The song is "Set the world on fire" Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
Prince was the most dynamic artist that ever walked this planet. He was magical, beautiful & a straight up genius.

My 1st Concert! Oakland Coliseum. Showed up on stage in a Buick and that bass drum from Escape was pumping!!! No one did a show like Prince!!!
I have seen Prince live over 12 times. This tour (Lovesexy) and latest Hit n Run tours were the best for me.
Awesome! I've seen him a few time, but not that many!
Thanks for watching!

Saw that in SF back in 88. Great concert.
1988 was his creative peak and best band, with Sheila E on drums, Eric Leeds, Matt Fink etc.
I agree.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome concert 🤘🏾
Totally!

For me and mine he is the g.o.a.t. Thankfully with the thousands of fully recorded songs he could have albums til the year 3000

Watching this on UK tv is what turned me into a Prince fanatic.
So, so good!
Thanks for watching!
The show that changed my mind.

The G.M.O.A.T❤
You 2 are fantastic.
Prince was the best !
Some of Glam Slam (from the album) guitar parts remind me of Fripp.
Good call!
Thanks for watching!
Such a shame his guitar doesn’t work at the end of Anna Stesia. Amazing concert.
I never noticed - will have to watch again!
Thanks for watching!

@@agadoin Yes I watched it last year (?) when it was made available. Very cool to see some new footage of that era!

I know I'm going to get hammered but I'm a fan of his music not all the over the top fancy stuff. But it does sell albums!!!
This was probably the most over the top of all of his shows, but I loved it! :)

Prince told me 2 tell u DO u no what a wrecka stow is?
it's always amazing to me how many racist people love Prince and Michael Jackson
those 2 happend 2 b comming from the most Racist country in the world. and wanted 2 escape/crossover that.
What do you mean by that?
We're not actually from the US
What an uninformed and shitty thing to say.
I'm Black and there will always be racist people. It's time for us to move on and stop hating people ourselves.
