I knew you would find your way to the suspended bridge and walk across to get the view of the gorge below. River, trees and mountains make for a beautiful scene. I like how some grass have turned red in the cold seasons and the mossy rocks look velvety. Thank you.
Thank you, it was a bit of an adventure staying with the trail a few times but well worth it. I'm really curious to know what the story is with the mossy rocks, hopefully I can chat with a villager next time.
I wasn't sure if that was the usual animal control fence or what the situation was. It's not really visible in the video but there was a little section of washed out trail they were trying to warn against.
A wonderful place today. Beautiful how the Japanese grasses turn such lovely colours this Autumn /Winter. I wonder what makes the ok so grow lichen so abundantly here? What was the significance of the colourful figures, were they bears? Everywhere is so beautifully maintained in Japan, it’s such a magnificent country,I wish I had been able to visit…ah! Perhaps in another lifetime eh? Thank you so much for your trail films, hope that you have a good Christmas holiday, and take us more places in the NewYear. Best Wishes. 💕
Thank you, the autumn / winter overlap does bring about some nice colors. The bright colored figures are actually demons, or "oni" in Japanese. There might be a slightly different feeling of the word depending on the language. Apparently this pass was particularly dangerous in old times so the village and surrounding area was thought to be inhabited by demons. Luckily I didn't meet any on the trail! Thank you again and I hope your holiday is well, more adventures in the year ahead🤠
Thank you, the landscape and rivers must be a bit different from Germany. I had the chance to road trip and camp through Germany many years ago and I don't remember any mountains. The rivers seemed to be much wider and deeper too. It was beautiful though and I would love to go back to explore more intentionally.
Thank you, it is a beautiful area. There are a number of clues as to where this is, but I don't think I should share GPS of small villages publicly, as there can be an issue of over tourism. This village has no facilities of any kind and limited parking. If you find the village it is very easy to find the route along the river. Best of luck if you're interested🤠

Wishing you a life where you find joy in the simplest pleasures, gratitude in the ordinary moments, and fulfillment in the journey itself

@@ambient_exploration No worries.
I could trace out the bridge :-) Appears to be scenic but not frequently visited by tourists.
Looks like North Carolina minus the architecture
