Lucky people in Sweden are still dancing to this great kind of music, because no more great groups like the The Fabulous Thunderbirds in the U.S.A., because the greed of concerts killed fantastic dance music. The kids are on their seat instead of on their feet having a blast like we did back in the day. Thanks for your work to post this classic tune by legends in their own time.
That piano playing! He makes the others look like his backing band. Sensational! If I could learn a musical instrument, I would chose the keyboards. This piano exhibition just shows why. Wonderful! What an atmosphere!.
Excellent!!! I've been listening to these guys for 26 years.. There still as good as they ever were.. I give this a involuntary thumbs up.. I did not know they were still playing doing gigs... That's great... My father got me listening to these guys back in 88 I believe.. A song called... Powerful stuff.. I loved it then and I still love it!!!
I have watched every version, era and performers of this number, this is by far the best. The energy and talent in this is unreal only thing is I worry about the piano players heart
I love the fact that a great harmonica player such as Kim Wilson knows that he does not have to play harmonica on every song. It shows that he cares about the arrangement and the songs themselves more than himself. He knows he is good and does not have to prove it to anyone.
Wow did not know have such a great voice young Lady, had a not so great day at work and there I am having a glass of wine watching your video, thank you , you made feel alive again 😊
This band has been burning up the south for as long as I can remember and if you ever hear them you always remember how they're always excellent. Proper management would have had them at the top of the charts longer than they were. They are really two bands. The one that aimed for the charts and the one that came afterward. This is the kind of music they play the best but doesn't get played on the radio.

Fantastic...I love all of these guys from James Harman band. Kid Ramos, of course, but as a keyboard player, I have to say Gene Taylor (piano) stands out!

+Bill Kusnerik Just heard this for the first time today and I have to agree about the talent and skill of Gene Taylor's piano playing / shredding. To see and hear someone that has that kind of gift has brought a few tears of joy to my eyes today. I've loved the FT's since wayback when Kim Wilson wore those do-rags all the time. He is definitely at the top of his game. A pure delight to listen to.
some people have no musical taste, the thunderbirds are just rockin' the house. Gene Taylor is just Killin it on the 88s, Jerry Lee, Fats, Little Richard, & all the greats would be impressed. Great video. Kim Wilson always delivers. This looks like the line up I saw at the Minnesota State Fair some years ago. Consulting a live disc that I think I purchased at that show, the line up is Kim Wilson (vocals and harp), Kid Ramos (guitar), Steve Hodges (drums), Gene Taylor (piano), Willie Campbell (bass). The CD is called Fabulous Thunderbirds Live, recorded Feb 16th, 2000. I think Gene Taylor has since passed away. Kid Ramos was a killer in concert and I sought out his CDs afterwards. I know all the original fans love Jimmie and I do too. I own a nice handful of his discs, but Kid Ramos is right there. Had this song been more of a guitar feature you would have heard that. My CD opens with this song, My Babe.

One of the greatest Guitarists in American history. Few people know of him.
Kid Ramos
Had his volume a little lower than the pieano. Pieano was kind of the star, but should have run that tele up a bit
Kid Ramos is possibly the most underrated guitarists on the planet, and it this song dont get you going nothing will.
