Places , like this, I'm a sucker for. This history should be restored, and preserved. So many are quick to forget it or want it banned. Good, or bad, it should be preserved.

I've been as a child and it really is amazing..
Two landmarks I'd reccomend, killah Rotas (Rotas Fort) here. And Badshai mosque (the King's mosque). 🕌 👑

I think the reporter wanted you to reflect on the historic site. The community there for ages have wanted the government to support preserve the fort and utilise the fort as a tourist destination which will support the local economy. I think they kind of saw you as an opportunity to emphasis the point. Aww memories....i need to book my ticket lol😂

Beautiful location- on a strategic hill built on a vast area. Indeed, a very interesting place! Perhaps your host should have translated for you when you were giving the tv interview. The reporter wanted you to say that the place needs to be restored to make it more tourist friendly. The museum artefacts needed to be displayed better and without graffiti.. tbh.. it seemed a dusty ghost house.

Callum, this Fort was built by Shah Suri , who wanted to attack the people of pothoar (basically the Ghakars rebelled and were strong men)Ghakars-Kiani’s who ruled those lands arnt like their forefathers anymore(only some are loyal) Sadly all this is left as history for the coming generation and of course the Pakistani government will not care to restore the history, unless Kiani’s do so.
Like Islamabad’s original name was “Pothohar region” and then changed only 50-60years ago to Islamabad. Sadly the Pothohars living there couldn’t do anything.
Also last line copied- there’s another fort built by the Ghakars.
According to traditions, Rawat Fort was built by the Ghakkar tribe in 16th century. The region is also said to have been the battleground between the Ghakkar chief Sultan Sarang Khan ❤and Sher Shah Suri in 1546 AD.

The fort in this video was built to destroy Ghakars-Kiani’s 😂😮 but the “Qila Rawaat” “Rawaat fort “ is built by those of Sultan Sarang Khan Ghakar and one day will take Callum there and that’s that! ❤

Example, a muslim brother might take the hand of his muslim brother and take him to the mosque for salah with the congregation because in the other Muslim brother might have been a lazy inclination not to go, so he take him by the hand to the mosque

They may not understand the meaning of “Adhaan” 70-80% Asian Muslims don’t. As you can hear them saying whilst the call to prayer they are talking about playing “ludo” I’m sure I read it was Surah “Fath” talk about similar events. The reality is the our lord calls us to success 5 times a day and most people don’t want that success.
Saying all this, we can’t point a finger at someone when the rest are pointing towards us.

@@CallumAbroad Local customs and culture in Pak. generally frowns upon showing off too much bare skin. Dressing modestly in many Asiatic countries shows respect for local conservative norms and traditional culture and you get respect back . People often quietly judge foreigners by how they dress. You don't dress for the beach in day to day life in Pak., most parts of India , Iran or Afg.. The local costume is cheap, cool to wear in hot weather and comfortable. You blend in better too. It is Just my opinion from a person of Pak. origin who was born in the UK and has spent a lot of time in the South Asian region. I also am fluent in Urdu and Hindi . The TV Man who interviewed you , whose English was poor to abysmal, was very respectful towards you in Urdu language in his TV interview with you. Learning a few phrases in Hindi and Urdu goes a long way in N. India and Pak.. If you ever visit Persian speaking countries such as Iran, Tajikistan, Parts of Uzbekistan , Afg. etc. then knowing some phrasebook Persian/ Farsi will be invaluable.Keep making the videos .
