- The Venda Building Society (VBS) Mutual Bank was placed under curatorship in 2018 due to allegations of fraud and corruption. The bank's stakeholders, including investors and depositors, were affected by the bank's failure. Following the conviction of the VBS looting kingpin Tshifhiwa Matodzi, the latest process to recoup funds is a significant development for the stakeholders. Some could go on in life and strong enough, many died paupers, with no jeans to decent funerals, others died because of their devastating news and situation, others committed suicide do every death can be classified as murder or manslaughter. It is not just theft, it extends to much more than that. People have lost their safety net and comfort, not that they were ever very comfortable, but they were making preparations for a better future for themselves and their family. It is a devilish plot when others benefit at such an expense of thousands of lives destroyed. When you look at and feel sorry for others suffering in wars all over the world, this an example of similar devastation in thousands that are suffering under our very own SA flag. Very sad
