Thanks for the chuckle - loved Patrick’s face when he was bopping to the pounding club music. Red Bull fueled work for the win! Good work on the garden! Hard cutting back will help reveal all the hidden treasures. You may have to choose between the rose or grapevine as if the grapevine is anything like we have, it could engulf your entire garden.
Hi it really is coming along, I have to say I fell in love with your Garden first time I seen it, as even with all the flowers fighting for there place you could see how with love this Garden was going to shine. I did hear something on another channel about roses and grapevines so i had to go look, and yes they used to plant a rose bush at the sight of vines as any fungus, flies mould or rot would alert the vine growers of a problem as it attacked the roses first, so there you go fun fact. Hope to see you back soon, hugs Dede xxxxx
Thanks for your kind words, but we can't take credit for this electrical and wall hanging work! It was not a DIY project - we hired contractors to do it. But now that they've done the major work that we weren't qualified for, our DIY can begin. 🙂
Bonjour from Virginia! Really fun to watch this video and see all your progress! The bike ride, picnic, food outings (and even the techno-beat), keeps us wanting more!
You aren't in France unless you've been to Brico at least once. Home Depot with an accent. Lol. I have to say that eating with that view of architecture makes even a sandwich seem exotic. Interesting wine decanter at the restaurant. I wouldn't mind one of those.
You're within biking distance of Chenonceau. You might try that direction sometime. And the road from Chenonceau to Montrichard is really lovely as well.
Ha! That techno music 🎶. Those workers need to invest in Bluetooth. I loved seeing the garden come to life (again!); the architectural details on buildings; your new chandelier in the temp living room and your picnic. I envy you the beautiful stove. Great vlog.
0:08 Ha! Yes, nothing quite like the serene oasis of living in a construction site. How exciting to see things really get moving though. I did something similar and the "serenity" phase lasted about 4 years. But now that it's all done it really is a delight to live in this place.
Yes thé brico unicorn! I laughed out loud. BRICOMarche. They are open near us at lunch time and very nice and helpful. Amazing you made so much progress. It can take many months where we are to get on a workers schedule. Ambroise is a beautiful place.
Hi I always look forward to seeing what you're up to. It's probably too late now for this suggestion, but maybe for some other time you do up a small space as a bathroom. You could have considered a sanibroyeur, which allows you to plumb a toilet down a small drain and build in a toilet in places which otherwise would not have been suitable. If you're curious, have a look the next time you're in Castorama or Leroy Merlin.
Sometime when you're in TX and looking for content, it would be interesting to know how you chose Amboise. I think you worked with Adrian, but did you consider any other locations? Great that you're making progress!
I may be wrong, but oasis wasn't the first word that came to mind, nor was serene. Hey ho! There is time to achieve both...eventually. At least you'll have clean clothes while you wait. I've never understood why there is no exit from the back yard. It seems massively inconvenient, as well as a bit dangerous. If the house, God forbid, had a fire you'd be really stuck.
Yay! So much progress finally. My word that cut off spiral staircase below the floor is so strange. So many surprises.
Vaše videa jsou opravdu super, rekonstrukce běží mílovými kroky. Držím palce.

Do your neighbors look down onto your back garden? All the rectangular windows high above.
No, the glass is opaque on that side of their building.
That's good to know bc that was one of the first things I noticed & I was thinking privacy would have been an issue@@AustintoAmboise

All the noise and commotion will be all worth it in the long term!Yout bike 🚲 ride journey must of been amazing
Yes it was! 😸 Thanks for watching!
Bravo mon boulot ça va être classe
Wow! What a mess, but well worth it, eh? So glad that part is over for you.
Yes, sooo worth it. So excited to finish out those rooms. 😀
13:02 Obviously that's where they left the box of gold coins and forgot all about it.

We just really aren't interested in the macerating toilets. Luckily we got this one worked out. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@AustintoAmboise Thanks, haven't missed an episode yet!

I love the fish scale paneling. What is that product called exactly and where did you source it? It is really unusual!
It is called Kinewall and it's from a UK company called Kinedo. We ordered it through their website:
kinedo.co.uk/content/22-kinewall
Great vid, so relatable, And your sense of humor seems to come with how you appreciate each moment in Amboise.🥐🍇🥖
So glad you can relate and enjoy our videos! Thanks for watching. 😊
